By far the best Thai place I've been to. My favorite dish is the cheesy noodle. My kids favorite is the pinky fried rice! Von chicken is the best, I could keep going. I eat here often. Great spot. Small little hole in the wall spot. For the prices the portions are phenominal. I eat take out frequently from here. Whether its fried rice or a curry or occasional pad thai. It is excellent dollar to value. so much that the little increase in price recently. I was shocked when i heard about it but to find a extra dollar or two im not even worried about. It is understandable. my goto is the peanut curry or the fried rices. von fried rice or pineapple. the crab rangoons are just ok though. the sesame chicken is decent. everything I seem to order is out in 10-15 minutes when I order which is pretty amazing in itself. all fresh veg etc. I will say they have a habit of running out of iced tea or ice they say. which to be honest is pretty sugary and I probably dont need it as frequently as I go but its goood! Main entree is like $12-13 and I can get like 2 meals or a meal and a snack out of it. I would suggust you give this spot a try. read more

We went tonight for our first time and really enjoyed it. We ate in and had the pad pak and the vegetable curry dish. The food was fresh, beautifully presented and very tasty. We got mild and it had just a hint of heat which to me is exactly what mild should be. We met The owner Von and he was both nice and helpful asking what we liked and making suggestions for our next trip. Love that. I ordered the PAD PAK (t2) and I must say that it was one of the best I've had and the TOM YUM soup was full of goodness, the flavor will keep you up at night wanting more, this was my first time ordering and will absolutely be back. Excellent food and really friendly service! I've visited twice -- the peanut noodle and green curry were both fantastic with loads of flavor. The spring rolls were crisp and the sauce was SO good. The sauce on the peanut noodles was delicious, and they were even really good cold when I had leftovers the next day. The green curry was honestly the best I've had. I love that the heat doesn't drown out the flavor of the other spices, which is so often not the case with green curry. Everything tasted really fresh, especially the veggies in the curry. The prices are great too, especially for how much you get and how delicious everything is! I'm so happy to have such a great Thai spot in Eastpointe. It's already turning into my go-to for lunch takeout, I can't recommend Von Thai enough! read more

The Tom Yum soup was amazing! Strong taste of lemongrass and galangal was perfect! Last time i had soup like this was in LA... This guy is the best. He needs your support. The food is great and customer service is awesome. One time they ran out of soup and they made us fresh shrimp chips. Also he has offered to make crispy rolls for us but there are not on the menu. Me and my 2 kids get out for about 22.00 on average and we tip them good. read more
