The taxidermy is beautiful, and I had no idea they would actually have live fish inside their building. It's a remarkable establishment. It felt like a football field inside. This is definitely THE place for outdoor enthusiasts and folks who fish, hunt, camp, and so on. They have BOGO 40% Costa sunglasses. I ended up getting a 3-piece utility box crate. Customer service was standard, but I was mostly taken away by the beauty of nature, and of course, I had to donate to the conservation fund. I'll have to do more research on what entails, but there is so much to dive through and explore here.

This establishment is located where the Walmart used to be in this plaza. A friend drove me here…read morebecause they wanted to check the store out for an article of clothing that I usually wear and wanted my input. Internally it has a very high ceiling and a large selection of items to look at. They also had some taxidermied animals which were cute and an aquarium with some freshwater fish in it. The other members of my party were not impressed. Despite needing to only shop for one item we kept getting hounded by irrelevant sales pitches for items we did not need, including vacations. They did not have what we needed in stock so we left without buying anything. Not surprisingly this just resulted in the other members of my party asking to borrow my clothes. It would have been nice if it was in stock here. I might come back if I want a plushie. They had a North American animal I liked in the relatively large plushie section, but the other members of my party were not impressed with.

I have had to visit this store far too many times over the past three weeks thanks to my very…read moreactive six year old. The store itself is massive and carries an enormous selection of items. It is generally clean, bright, and well organized, with plenty of sections to wander through and browse. That said, nothing here is really cheap. There are a lot of interesting and useful products, but the prices are high enough that I constantly find myself hunting for clearance items. It would be very easy to blow through a one thousand dollar gift card in a single visit. Thankfully, the local 20 percent off coupons help make purchases feel more reasonable. The staff appears to be made up mostly of high school and college age employees, and that shows in the customer service. It is not bad, just very young and a bit unpolished. Most employees seem concentrated in the shoe section or working the front registers, with limited presence elsewhere on the floor. The running shoe selection for adults is a definite plus, with plenty of options to choose from. Overall, it is not a terrible experience, but it is not a great one either. I will continue to shop here because it is one of the few places that reliably carries sporting goods, but it is more of a necessity than a destination.

They inspected the bottom and there was some specs of floor dirt. They said they cannot accept exchange because they were unsellable. They were unworn with TAGS ATTACHED! Major attitude and lack of respect for the customer. I showed them the "new" shoes I wanted to exchange them with that ALSO had floor particles....from touching THE FLOOR.. 5 stars for EXTREMELY kind and great customer service from EVERYONE I spoke to in the shoe department. Super knowledgeable and helpful!

Over the years, I have only placed orders through the REI website (w/ my Lifetime Membership), but…read morethe past couple of months, I have had more miss than hits with my orders and felt like I had been spending way too much of my gift card money on return costs than keeping the actual products. I know there is a REI in Arcadia but I rarely visit that area these days. A Friend recommended this location over the Arcadia one, as it is bigger and it was perfect because it happened to be on my route one day. I stopped by on a Friday afternoon and was able to return my online order quickly. The cashier was very kind and the return was quick. I never used the product, the sizing was just way off, even though I had followed the product's website video guide. When I visited, it just so happened to be Member Days so I took a look around. This location certainly has "everything." It feels rare to have a fully stocked store these days. Since I did not need anything at the moment, I plan on stopping by again in a few months when I have an idea of what to use my gift cards on. There were employees throughout the store and they often greeted me and asked if I needed help. Great customer service! There was also restrooms for customers to use. There was plenty of parking in shopping center and overall, had a great first experience.

One star review…read more What happened to REI? I had a very bad experience at REI Tustin on El Camino Real. EVA and manager AARON falsely accused me of returning the wrong item, even though the item matched my REI account, app, original tags, barcode, and product details. They made this accusation in front of my family and other customers, which was very embarrassing. I asked them a simple question: "What exactly is different?" They refused to answer. That tells me they had no real answer. They accused me first, then avoided explaining their own accusation. While EVA was still processing the return, AARON told me to leave and threatened security for no valid reason. After all that, they still processed the return. So the item was correct all along. This was a false accusation, poor judgment, zero accountability, and terrible management. REI leadership should review this incident seriously.

Emma, who was at the register, personifies attention to detail, genuine care and true excellence. In small talk, my husband explained to her that I have been having health issues with forever plastics in my clothing. That's why we were there to buy Merino wool. Immediately, she looked at all o f the tags from the clothing we assumed was pure wool, and found out two of the 3 pieces actually had over 40% polyester. She went even further and went back to the clothing area with us and found 2 pieces that were 100% wool. Emma also has a great personality, sense of humor. Before we left, we asked to speak to her manager since we were so impressed. When Lisa came out to talk with us, we were blown away. She, too, has that same level of care and excellence. We are definitely fans of REI, and will always be loyal to the Laguna Hills location!

Located right off the 5 and El Toro in the Trader Joe's shopping center, there is plenty of parking with a bakery just across the parking lot, and a great Mexican restaurant next door. They have lots of high end backpacking supplies, tents, shoes, clothing etc.. and they also have more budget friendly options. Not crazy about their pushing the "membership" but it's not a requirement so you can shop away without it... I think it does save you money over a few purchases. Lots of gifts to be had here.. I was surprised how many cool little things they had that made great gifts and are not camping specific.

I went into Road Runner on Tuesday to buy a pair of cross training shoes. I was paired with Gary,…read morewho was in training. I left with a pair of Reebok's. I got home that day realizing the fit was too narrow/tight for my high arched feet and made the decision to rerun the shoes. I went into road runner the next day, Wednesday, to return the shoes. (mind you I did not buy the membership because it was $19.99(?) plus $49.99 annually on top of the already $160 shoes.) This is when I was told by a manager named Alexis, that I had worn the shoes - when I in fact had NOT worn the shoes besides trying them on in store- and he wasn't going to give me my money back. I told him that he was wrong and needed to give me my money back. He gave me my money back very reluctantly ensuring me he didn't believe me. He told me he remembered me "not buying the membership" and that he remembered the shoes being clean and unworn on Tuesday. I left the store in tears over the interaction. Later, once I had calmed down, I realized I had taken photos of the shoes in store on Tuesday prior to buying them. It came to my realization that Gary and Alexis had sold me the floor sample shoe without telling me and then proceeded to blame me for the shoes being worn. After being treated so poorly, I will never be going back to road runner.
