We were so happy to discover this unassuming little Thai restaurant while traveling through NH on 7/4/24 when many other eateries were closed. In fact, I'm glad other places were closed, or we might have missed out on a delicious meal at Vong's! Their lunch boxes are such a nice variety of different taste sensations, and a surprising hearty portion. The Panang Curry with shrimp was fantastic, with well cooked shrimp and a sauce that had a perfect sweet heat to be absorbed by the white rice. I could have eaten a bowl of the sauce like a soup it was so good. My family also really enjoyed the Pad See Ew w/ tofu. Service was fairly prompt and welcoming, and food was served nice and hot. We eat at Vong's about once a week. The Chiang Mai Noodle soup is our fave as well as their red curry, Drunken Noodles, and Som Tum Thai (green papaya salad). Such good food every time! read more

Great, friendly service. Nice selection on the menu including lunch specials. Quiet atmosphere... Probably because everyone was very much enjoying their food. I ordered a shrimp drunken noodle lunch and my friends had a spicy chicken pad thai lunch and chicken teriyaki dinner. The lunch box options were such a deal! For $15.95 you got your option of main dish with miso soup, salad, a spring roll a crab rangoon and a fried banana. My dish had a nice flavorful heat at a two pepper rating. My friend's pad thai was a three pepper rating which she said was perfect; I tasted it and one bite was great, but I think if I ate the whole dish, it would have been too hot by the end for me. Both of us that ordered the lunch boxes left with Happy bellies and about half of our main dishes still left for later. We also order the thai iced tea and it was delicious. If you are looking for absolutely delicious authentic Thai food, then you MUST try Vongs! Best Panang Curry I have ever had. The Spice is just right for those afraid of too much spice in a Curry. Their 2 * spice is a real medium spice. My server was super knowledgeable and very friendly. I was greeted, seated, order taken in a very efficient amount of time. Food was delivered quickly piping hot and smelling wonderful! I saw numerous online and take out orders coming and going and the dining room was about 1/3-1/2 full at 4:15! Again highly recommend, even if you have never tried Thai before, you should try here, they seem more than willing to answer questions to make sure you get something you love! They need to work on customer Service skills. They only offered a small dessert fork, no spoons or knives. The food was unfavorable. The crab rangoons were overcooked, burnt on The outside. The spring rolls were not hot but OK. The duck lo-mein has very little lo-mein with very old dried out duck. It seems like the dick was reheated in the fryers. The ginger chicken had no flavor and was sitting in a liquid that resembled nothing more than water. Neither main dish was hot. The wonton soup tasted like I was eating a mouthful of parsley. It was a great disappointment and the prices are way too high. A big east of $80 Do yourself a favor and go elsewhere. read more

We tried Vongs the other night getting take out. We have been looking for Thai food closer to home. Thirty minutes for the order to be ready, so not an overly long wait. I am allergic to nuts and only order items that do not list them as an ingredient. I am also one of those genetically predisposed to having cilantro taste like soap, so I will ask for it to be kept out of dishes, though I did forget this time, and it was easy enough to remove from the dishes it was in. The portion sizes of the entrees is about what you would get anywhere, the appetizers though seemed a little small for the price and what we received. I had ordered the Tom Yum with Crispy Pork & Pork Ball which was meant to be like a meatball I believe. There are 3 listings of Tom Yum soup on the menu, so I am labeling mine with the inclusion of how it was written in the menu. I only had two bites of this dish though because there are peanuts in the soup base. I double checked the menu and the item description included with online ordering, and there was no mention of there being nuts in the Tom Yum w/CP&PB. When I called to inquire about the ingredients, I was told that yes they were included in the dish. Unfortunately, that dish didn't get eaten, but the Chiang Mai Noodle Soup was good. My husband said the Chicken Mango Curry was comparable to one of the better versions he has had, and the Mango Sticky Rice was also good. I would have liked it to have smaller bite sized pieces and less coconut milk, but that's being really picky. Overall, I would say food is relatively good as long as you ask additional questions about ingredients even when you think they are all listed on the menu. read more

My wife and I love Thia cuisine. We enjoy visiting new Thai places and are rarely disappointed. We visited Vongs today and we both were very disappointed in our experience here. They recently lost some employees, so they are serving carry out only. You can still eat in the restaurant, but the food comes to you in carry out containers. This was odd, but wasn't the reason for this negative review. The food just wasn't up to the standards of what we have come to love at every other Thai restaurant we have been to. We ordered Chicken Satay as a stater. It came with our entree, as expected, because of the carry out setup. The chicken was okay, but lacking expected flavor. I ordered the drunken noodles with pork and extra spicy. My wife ordered Basil fried rice with pork and medium spicy. The pork appeared to be boiled and lacked any color and flavor. It looked just like the noodles in my dish... My wife's meal was spicier than mine, even though I ordered mine extra spicy. Both dishes had an oily flavor and both dishes were very oily in the container. I ate all of mine, well, because I was hungry. My wife had a couple bites and closed her container. Recently did a take out order-no tomatoes in the Tom Yum soup and no miso soup with the bento box, although their menu does not indicate that. When I called to bring this to their attention, the response I received was..."We don't put tomatoes in the Tom Yum soup and there was a price adjustment to the bento box." Nope, there wasn't. How does a Thai restaurant NOT have tomatoes when other dishes have them and miso soup when it is a regular menu item? Not that the customer is always right, but customer service does go far. I'm actually eating my food while I type...it's so good, I figured I would write before I forget to. I ordered Yellow Curry you can pick whatever meat you would like. I chose steamed tofu (I know gross to many people, but a friend introduced me to it because it soaks up the curry). This yellow curry is light and great flavor! There is pineapple, peppers, carrots, a couple tomatoes, potato chunks and onions....the veggies are fresh tasting too! I love the pineapple to add that little bite of sweet and juicy...yum! For my drink...Thai Iced Tea! Delish! My friend ordered cashew chicken and said it is very good, but she would've liked more sauce;) I recommend! read more
