This place was great. Lunch starts at 11:30. Walk inside, you'll see the fresh lobsters. Friendly staff and quick service. I'm from NY so no tax is amazing. And, of course they have lobsters, meals, traditional sizes and monsters if you are so inclined and have a tool kit to crack the shells. I hear the owner made his fortune with the process and tank systems he uses to maintain live lobsters which he has sold around the world. And, they have lobsters bisque with that sherry taste. A whole bunch of other menu items as well. It's take out, with warm weather covered eating benches which are OK. So, here are some suggestions to send the rating even higher. Lobster Connection is your typical New England seafood shack with a water view. You can order cooked or uncooked seafood inside and they have picnic tables set up outside if you want to eat there. I came for the fresh clam roll. I love whole belly clams. It's something I have NEVER seen in the Midwest. I like my clam roll with cocktail sauce instead of tartar sauce. I think the clams should have been soaked a bit longer as there were a few with some grit but the clams and fries were both perfectly fried and delicious. It had been almost three years since I had been to New England and eaten whole belly clams and it was a very enjoyable meal. I would return! read more

2.5 stars out of 5 if I could. We came in during COVID times and they have outdoor seating. Inside they have tanks w lobsters in it. The service was meh. We weren't greeted and were kind of ignored. But whatever I can get past it if the food was on point. We got clam chowder (when in New England you gotta) and lobster bisque and fries. The fries were hot and crispy but thinner then my liking. They were also so bland. No seasoning on it all. They do give you salt and pepper which helps. The clam chowder was very good. The clams were not over done. There was also bacon and potatoes. The lobster bisque wasn't thick enough to really be a bisque to me. It didn't even coat the spoon. And there were no chunks of lobster but it was flavorful. read more

The man working at the front was SO rude it was unbearable i was actually scared to walk because I thought he would yell at me. He would blame things on customers and yell AT customers and tell them to hurry up and give them dirty looks. He threw the receipt at us and told us to wait outside. He was claiming it was SO busy but trust me it wasn't. I work at a small town coffee shop and I know what busy looks like. There were very little slips up and at most 4 people in line. Too much grease and not enough flavor. I ordered the haddock strips which came with fries and coleslaw. The price wasn't bad at 11.99, but the wait was a bit long and the food had no flavor at all. If you want fresh seafood and a knowledgeable staff this is the place to go. I was raised on seafood in Rhode Island and the product at this spot is as good as you will find in Narragansett or Newport, RI. I come back several times every summer and they never disappoint. The prices aren't cheap but are consistent with fresh, quality seafood. They can get a little busy so you do need to be patient at times because they have a small crew but if you know that going in it's all good. Can't wait for some lobsters and steamers this summer!!!! Always delicious and appreciate this place every time i'm in the area. I usually get my favorite seafood, Haddock and clam chowder. The best! They are extremely busy and are open 7 days a week and I'm sure were understaffed like everyone else these days. That said, your not going to walk in for a friendly chat--they are focused and getting it done so i hope people's ego can get beyond that a just focus on the food. However, i believe the owner took my order on the phone last fall and was very friendly. His story is interesting. Ok so, if you like fried food, then this is the place. They don't do anything by fried, no broiled our sautéed. Just fried, period. And no gluten free, they all have some sort of breading. That being said you can, of course, get a lobster that's not fried or clams that are steamed. The lobster dinner was $38.00. Came with fries and slaw which my husband said was good. The lobster was a bit on the chewy side.....did't care for it. Meh.....I'm beginning to think the sweet succulent lobster is gone. No more trying for me. You order in and eat outside. Only thing worth mentioning is that the lobster roll is not put on a traditional hotdog roll but rather a regular Kaiser roll which takes away from all the delicious flavor of the lobster. Best damn lobster roll I have ever had!!! The lobster isn't placed in a skimpy hot dog roll. They are on big bulky rolls with hand cut fries. The lobster has just the right amount of season and dressing. The owner that will serve you is a friendly guy who likes to sip on a tall Natty Light during those hot summer days. The kids love checking out the lobsters in the tanks and they will even let the kids touch them and hold them if you ask. We hit this place up after a round of mini golf across the street. This was our second year in a row coming here for the Fourth of July weekend to pick up some lobsters. We stay in Meredith and we were recommended this place by a family friend. We picked up several 2 lbs lobsters and they had a lot of meat on them, especially the claws. The guy behind the counter was extremely helpful. I believe he must the owner or one of them because he's in a few pictures on the wall dating back several years. Since we bought live lobsters he gave us clear instructions on how long and what to make sure to do when cooking from home. I thought that was really nice of him! This place is amazing. Its the classic new england seafood type of situation, its more of a takeout kind of deal, although they do have some picnic tables outside. The lobster rolls were perfect, like actually. We also bought some huge lobsters, scallops, steamers etc to cook later, all amazing. The guy who runs the place goes to Maine to get the lobster daily, he then has a very specific kind of tank which keeps them perfect. DO NOT EAT HERE! The WORST customer service I've had in a long time! If I could give this place a big, fat ZERO, I would. We visited on 7/19/2020. If I hadn't been with family at the time of my visit I would've told the guy behind the counter (the owner) how I really feel and walked out and not given this place a cent of my money. My girlfriend and I had never been there before - we docked a boat and walked up a path not knowing what to expect at all (we didn't even know it was going to be a seafood place - we weren't told by other family members, we just knew there was a restaurant to get food and we were hungry). That being said, we didn't know the menu. No exaggeration, 30 seconds into us looking at the menu the jerk behind the counter was really upset at us for "taking too long to order." He quite literally said this out loud for us to hear and screamed it in his body language throughout. Now I am not one to speak my mind, but it took A LOT for me to bite my lip and not to say or do something in this instance - like I said, I was with family and wanted to be the bigger man here. I did give him a respectful chirp or two back making him aware that we had never been here before, but he did not care - he was very upset that we didn't know what we wanted to eat off of the menu. Long story short, come to find out that this guy behind the counter has a well-known reputation amongst the locals as to being a jerk (trust me, saying "jerk" is the nice word to use here...). If that doesn't speak for itself, I don't know what will. Supposedly he has been called out on his mannerism MANY times before from others and is trying to work on it, but my question is who is teaching this guy how to work on "it" because "it" ain't working too well... We will never go back to this place or recommend it to anyone unless they are open to being disrespected by the owner for wanting to support his local business. On top of this all the food was expensive and not that good at all - they even happened to get a part of my order wrong!
