I did an online order and pickup. Clean place. Nice people work there. Pretty quick in getting orders ready. The workers are doing their jobs, getting things done. So the service itself is very good. The chicken sandwich? Delicious. No problem at all there. Big fat piece of chicken. Tasty. Awesome. The jumbo nuggets? Yes, most of them were bigger than your average McDonald's chicken nuggets. Most of them. Not all of them. The seasoning was a bit much. Could have used a little less seasoning. The nuggets are chicken breast, so some were a bit dry. But 10 of them do fill you up good. French Fries were good, but not much for $5 bucks. I mean, Five Guys is far more generous. And now the wrap... Wow, you call that a chicken wrap? Talk about an understatement. It's a LETTUCE wrap. With chicken. Where's the chicken? It literally had two nugget-sized pieces of dry chicken in it, and the rest was a variety of lettuce with some cheese. So that was a big disappointment. I mean, I like lettuce but I don't think the wraps are worth $14+ each if they're just going to be 95% lettuce and 5% chicken. Would I recommend this place? Sure. As a snack place. As a real meal? All the Starbird locations make their food with care and quality ingredients. My favorite go to item to order is their chicken cobb salad with the jalapeño lime dressing. I also really enjoy their Thai chicken tenders, churros and lemonades. Side note: the elote chop is really good as well. The featured item was Chimichurri, so I Chimi most everything. The result was amazing & satisfying. Orders: Chimichurri Sandwich $10.97 the roasted garlic aioli, Chimichurri, pepita pepper shake, peppers & arugula was a beautiful medley of ingredients. The crunch, the freshness & satisfaction were all there in this sandwich. Chimi Chop Salad $13.77 the romaine, cabbage blend, arugula,Chimichurri marinated white beans, red peppers, pickled onions, pepita pepper shake, chopped parsley w/roasted garlic aioli is a mouth full to say, but Starbird didn't exclude any of it out. I came here because it was close to where I was studying. I've been eyeing this new dish as an Indian hot chicken and I really wanted to try it. It looked so good online and I can just imagine how good would taste in person. I feel the same way about the fries. They looked very good online and I was looking forward to diving into them and having them. But the pictures were very deceptive. It tasted like chicken, with a sauce on it. Nothing special and the good thing is that they didn't charge more for the experience. The sad thing is that if I had eaten the regular or the hot chicken, they already have I would've been satisfied. At least that's what I think. The flavor was underwhelming and the aïoli that came with. It wasn't great either and I don't think it was because Something was wrong with the prep. I think you have more to do with the fact that I like Indian food and I've eaten a lot of Indian food in this food may have been inspired by Indian food, but did not have the depth of flavor and spiciness that I was looking for. So I was more disappointed than anything. Their regular aïoli have more flavor and contribute more to the dish than what they have. And don't let me get started on those fries! Disappointing doesn't even describe the experience. They were absolutely horrible now, I ordered some fries a while ago drove them home and they were so good. They were still hot. Ish crispy and wild. All the flavoring on them were kind of overdone. I wasn't disappointed. I drove 15 minutes with these fries and opened them up to find them waxy, cold, and absolutely nothing on top of it contributed to the experience of eating them. So, even though I've never been to the store before I would suggest sticking with the regular offerings to see how they stack up. I still do a lot of studying in the area and may go by, but it will not be a special treat and I won't go far out of my way to come here for this. But for the ambience, it was a starboard chicken. It was one of the bigger busier ones that I've seen, but the tables are clean and it was pretty nice. So the standards are there. I also got a cold soda, which was also pretty good. But to wrap up, I'd say stick to the basics and see how they stack up with what your experience is. That means regular fries and just two chicken tenders. We had heard a lot about Starbird Chicken so we decided to stop here on our way home from the bay. Full disclosure, it was about 8 :00 p.m. on a Friday night so the parking was packed and although we were able to snag a spot across the street from the parking lot, through my open window I overheard a family verbally make a decision to go to Chili's instead because they could not find two parking spaces in the lot for their large family. Because of how busy it was, we decided once we were parked to go ahead and make an order for pickup. It was easy to do and the food was ready very quickly. We ordered the Japanese BBQ tender box with double fries and some crispy Thai brussels sprouts. The first thing I always grab everywhere is the fries. They were warm, but not hot, and they were soggy and bland. I would have been incredibly disappointed, but one of the sauces they gave us was a creamy chive flavored little thing and I have never had it before but it is delicious. It took the whole cup of sauce for me to be able to get the fries down. The fries were disappointing 1/5 but the sauce , 5/5 for sure! The brussel sprouts were ok. My husband liked them more than I did but even he commented that it tastes like something I can make quickly at home, and I do. Mine are more buttery and less sour, but they weren't particularly crispy and we both gave them 3/5. The chicken tenders on the other hand were large, juicy and cooked well. The parts that weren't drenched in sauce were also crispy and tasty. Unfortunately the Japanese barbecue sauce they use here is not for us. It's far too sour and there was so much liquid in the bottom of the box with our tenders that they got very soggy. Ultimately I can't give them more than 3/5. Overall, this was an okay experience and because the service was good, I would definitely be willing to come back to Starbird again but I would choose different flavors, try and stop by when they aren't super busy, and ask for a lot more of that creamy chive sauce! read more

The place is cute and looked clean, although there were quite a few flies buzzing around--probably due to the weather, so I tried not to hold that against them. When I walked in, I immediately noticed a few self-serve kiosks. I headed toward one, but someone from the counter handed me a small, cute paper menu, which I ended up slipping into my purses and still ended up ordering from the kiosk. We ordered the lemon pepper chicken tender combo with regular fries and the lemon pepper and BBQ gold bone-in wings with truffle fries. Honestly, the best parts of the meal were the truffle fries and hibiscus tea. The chicken, while not oily (which I appreciated), tasted old--really old. It was dry and had that weird frostbitten texture, like it had been sitting in a freezer too long. I took some home for my sister to try, and the first thing she asked was, "Is this OK to eat?" We ended up throwing it away. I've heard other locations are fresher, so maybe I'll give Starbird another try somewhere else. But based on this visit, I left disappointed. read more

Why do you guys keep forgetting the truffle aioli which is the main point of ordering the expensive truffle fries. thats two times in a row now when there's literally on two items on the order. Don't order the truffle fries for delivery people and if you pick up your food, make sure they put it in your bag. We ordered a variety of food from Starbird Chicken just to try out. We used the app for take out, which was okay, but you can't get a coupon unless you sign up for text message advertising. Ambience reminded us of The Habit...fine for a fast food restaurant. There were some hits and some misses. I think it could be a lot better if you knew what to order. Let's start with a good one. The Green Goddess salad was delicious. Everything was fresh and there was a variety of vegetables and textures that made it interesting. We got grilled chicken for an extra $1, which had pretty good flavor, and was fairly tender, despite being white meat. We also got extra chicken for $4. Portion sizes were good. We got 10 pieces of boneless chicken wings. They are like white meat, chicken nuggets with a crunchy breading. These were okay. Kids liked them. We ordered 10 pieces of regular chicken wings. DH was upset that there were 9 drummettes and only 1 flat section. He thought it should've been more balanced. You can get all drummettes or flats by paying an extra $1. The pieces seem to be very small, but they were well cooked. Any Korean fried chicken place would have tastier and larger wings. Sauces were pretty good. My favorite was the barbecue sauce. It tasted similar to homemade and had a tiny amount of heat. Nice! DH liked the Starbird sauce with the grilled chicken. The truffle aioli was great with fries. Not a fan of the mango habanero. It didn't have much depth of flavor. Fries were thick cut and full of potato flavor. They were a hit. DH got the Starbird 2.0 sandwich. The fried chicken was too salty. Rest of it was good. "It would've been a fine sandwich if it wasn't so salty". Churros were awful. Too hard and no cinnamon sugar topping. Just came with a container of tasteless syrup. Ugh. DH said, "those were the worst churros I've ever had in my entire life". Overall, I think this place could be really good if you knew to order the salad and not order the churros. Was driving by around lunchtime and remembered that Starbird had a vege burger option so stopped by to try it. Ordered and paid at the kiosk so no waiting in line. Waited for about 10 minutes and name was called out. The takeaway bag was placed on a shelf organized alphabetically. The vege burger was awesome, packed with ingredients and very flavorful. I also got an order of fries which were excellent too. Almost finished it on the drive home! Would come again but the prices are quite steep for fast food. I've been back to this location 3x since and now I don't ever look in the direction of the other chicken places in the same parking lot!!
