    Mandoo with mild sauce
    Nicole Y.

Craving some chicken wings and since I was in the area, I decided to stop into Von's. I've been a fan of Von's for many years, trekking to town just for their delicious wings. Thankfully, they have several locations on Oahu and one right near where I live! Today I decided to order my favorite wings Crispy shoyu and honey butter wings Mandoo (with mild sauce) As always, Von's wings were utterly delicious ! Crispy and full of flavor! This is the first time I've had their mandoo and they great! Next time I'm planning to try the spicy mandoo (had to order the mild mandoo as I was sharing) Wings and mandoo were great! I'll be back. Soon for more awesome food!

In the mood and craved for some finger licking fried chicken wings. I've dined in, been to Vons Chicken first opened location on Pensacola St and Young St, and perhaps my expectations this time didn't meet all that I hoped for at this newer location. Location: next to Town Center of Mililani stage, UFC Gym entrance and across from Fun Factory. Won't see it while driving. Park your vehicle, walk and right smack dab in the middle. Ambiance: casual, indoor seating max 14 people. Couple of four seater tables, one two seater table, four stools facing window. Bob your head or move to the beat of k pop music sung by various female artists in Korean and male artists in Espanol on m.net. We chose to sit at a four seater table. The one that showed remnants of crispy chicken crumbs on one side of table. There was no line, yet cashier stood behind the register, never bothered to take initiative, and wipe the table. 2/5 Customer service: I placed my order and kindly asked if I'm able to get a small complimentary cup of water. Cashier said, "There's no complimentary water in small cups." I noticed earlier on the menu they sell bottled water. Cashier doesn't extend offer or inform me about bottled water. I also asked Cashier, "Which fries are popular?" He responded, "Snow fries." Cashier asked, "If I want the order for here or to go?" I responded, "Here please." When order was ready for pick up, Cashier asked, "Would you like chopsticks or fork?" I replied, "Chopsticks and may I please get some napkins as I need to wipe down the table?" Cashier gave me extra napkins and never bothered or offered to wipe the table that we're seating at. No thank you from cashier after calling out order and as we exited the establishment. 4/5 Crispy shoyu chicken half order 10 pcs $16.49: Every chicken wing tasted fresh and moist. I could taste drizzle of shoyu mix sauce on half of the chicken, then other half seemed to be missing once I reached the bottom of the container. I think one more full toss of shoyu mix would've been the perfect coated wings. 5/5 Snow French fries $6.99: Thinly sliced, long fries tossed in cheese, garlic and onion powder seasoning. Yummy, light tasting and not oily. 5/5 Mild Rice Cakes $5.99: My favorite since the crunchiness on outer layer of tteokbokki and soft chewiness on inside complements each other when rolling it in their special mixed kochujang sauce. Not so sure if I will return.

Chicken is cooked to perfection. Crispy with lots of flavor. I downgraded my rating for the lack of service came in a worker was asleep and don't wake up. He slept through the door slamming and the person in front of me was trying to wake him up

The Town Center of Mililani just got yummier as Vons Chicken opened their newest location today. My family loves Korean chicken and their favorite is Vons. We've tried many of the different flavors, but we always gravitate back to the Crispy Shoyu. I love mochi so I also ordered the Fried Rice Cake (10 pieces) that comes mild or spicy. I loved the spicy as the sauce is a little sweet. I also wanted to try the Snow (cheese and onion powder) french fries, but unfortunately there was a mix up and I got the regular instead. I look forward to trying them next time! Also on the menu are boneless or bone-in chicken plates that come with 2 scoop rice, 2 pieces mini mandoo, and choice of sauce. Sounds like a perfect meal! They are located by center stage, next to Tasty Korean BBQ and are open daily from 10:30am.

Fried rice cakes (tteokbokki) with mild sauce. The rice cakes were lightly fried but the sauce was haphazardly applied.

A bunch of my friends have told me that this is the best Korean Chicken around- and have used the fact that it is a chain as evidence. What better way to show that something is good than by pointing to the expansion of the brand? Now that I've tried Von's I can say with certainty that they have a great business plan and food that was tasty enough, but no where near the best. I'm not unhappy we ordered from them, but I'll head back to CM Chicken in Waipahu the next time I'm craving saucy fried chicken, or to PuPu Princess in Ewa if I want amazing crispy chicken. Boneless chicken is the way to go. All the crunch, all the flavor, twice the food! I'd expected breaded tenders but was served boneless thighs with the skin on. I also recommend that you order the plate, as it comes with four pieces of chicken, rice, corn, and two deep fried mandoo. My $12 stretched through dinner and left me enough for lunch the next day. The customer favorite seems to be the $16 half order of wings (10 total) but that comes with no sides whatsoever. They offer rice, fries, mandoo, or fried tteokbokki as possible additions to round out your meal, but the best value is the plate lunch with boneless chicken. Pick your chicken, pick your sauce, and call the order in or order online. If you order in person be ready for a long wait, as Korean fried chicken takes at least 20 minutes to cook. Luckily this location is in Mililani Town Center, so if you have to wait you can do so in a pleasant place. I ordered and then ducked around the corner to pick up some salad fixings at Times. The staff at Von's was very nice, though, and assured me that I'd have enough time and then apologized for the wait when I made it back before my food was done. I do not recommend the fries for a to go meal. We ordered Snow fries, which was their standard shoestring fry covered in an onion and cheese powder. They tasted good, but were very cold by the time I got them home. I did enjoy the tteokbokki (fried rice cake) which I had with the mild sauce. This brings me to the biggest issue I had with Von's vs other Korean fried chicken places- the sauce was applied haphazardly on all of the things we ate. One bite would burst with flavor but not be crunchy, the next bite had the crunch but was bland. It was especially noticeable on my thighs, which were splashed but not tossed with spicy sweet goodness. I chopped my leftover chicken into smaller pieces and mixed it into my extra rice for lunch, which made me very happy. If you re in Mililani and craving fried chicken, Von's is a solid enough choice. I would choose it over Cane's every day of the month. I would not drive across town to get some, but I guess that's why they have more than one shop!

I ordered takeout. They have 6 different chicken selections. I choose the Crispy Seasoned Chicken. I opted for mild vs. spicy. Tasted pretty good. Even my picky parents approved it. Flavorful, sweet barbecue taste with mild spiciness. It's messy to eat so make so you have plenty of napkins. Your order is made fresh so it takes around 20 minutes to get your order. Recommended to order ahead of time. Staff was friendly and said "Thank You" when I left. Forgot to take photos of the food because we ate it so quickly. The only negative is that the prices are a bit on the pricey side. I'll be back to try the other chicken selections.

Heard so much about this spot in Mililani the old lnl. Finally tried it and I recommend it!! Chicken is crispy sauce was super good. We orders the honey butter and shoyu sauce chicken. Snow fries and rice cake thingy lol The honey butter didn't care for too sweet for me The shoyu chicken was awesome!! Our fav! THIER snow fries amazing!! Rice cake thingy was good I just didn't care for the sauce on it. But would order it plain. They have other sides including rice Plates of chicken is 15-20 pieces A must try.

Everyone always raved about Vons Chicken, and now that I tried it I can tell why. I stumbled upon this shop in the Mililani Shopping Plaza and saw that there was no wait so I decided to try it for myself. The show is spacious inside with a seating area to eat. There was only two workers (the cook and the cashier), they are in the process of hiring. I like that their menu was minimum so I didn't have a lot of choices to choose from. I went with their Crispy Shoyu chicken half plate of just the chicken. Cashier could have smiled or have some enthusiasm, but it seemed like a slow day for them. After placing my order, cashier told me it be about a 15-20min wait, have I known that before ordering I would have went somewhere else, so I had to wait, at least I know the chicken was freshly cooked. The chicken however was amazing. It was maybe about 10-12 chicken wings. Super crunchy on the outside and moist and juicy in the inside. The shoyu flavor was more on the sweeter side, but it blended really well with the saltiness of the chicken. Overall the food is great, they also have it as lunch plate style with your sides. Defiantly going to try the other flavors.

Tried here first time today around 1:45pm. Ordered the mochi mild, he said only have spicy, ok. Ordered the snow wings, picked one up...... only has snow on the top? The mochi was cold, I opened the box about 5 minutes home. The wings are excellent, and the rice was good. Don't know if I'll be back, or I'll try the waimalu one that everyone says they go to!

I was soooooo excited when my family and I were walking around the Mililani Town Center and I saw that Von's was opening soon! I've had it a few times and it was always good. Fast forward a couple weeks, we had a potluck at work and a guy who lives near me brought Vons and said it was from the town center... I didn't know they opened but knew I was going to get me some chicken! He brought in the spicy chicken and it was good... but not very spicy. On Saturday I called in a takeout order. The guy who answered was very friendly and patient as I asked a bunch of questions on which items were most popular and what would he recommend. We ordered: Half order crispy fried chicken (10 pc for $15.49) - plain fried wings. They were good... not great, but definitely good. Half order crispy shoyu chicken (10 pc for $16.49) - these were surprisingly SO DELICIOUS! I didn't expect them to taste so yummy but they were definitely the favorite of my family. Crispy, sweet, and full of flavor! Half order crispy garlic chicken (10 pc for $16.99) - these were lacking flavor and the least favorite of the three we ordered. Would not order again. Snow fries $6.99 - These were interesting and on the sweeter side. My kid said "these taste funny I don't like it"... and I agreed... but we ate them all lol. Mini mandoo $4.99 - These had a very weird aftertaste... I ate one and hubby ate one and we did not eat the rest. Fried rice cake mild ($4.99) - I ate one and didn't like it... hubby ate a few but it just didn't really have a taste even with the sauce. We spent $72 on all that... would we return? Only for the crispy shoyu chicken!

This is the old loco moco spot. Very modern and clean. Got some nice K-pop playing with music videos on the screen. Got the shoyu chicken. Light crispy and perfect amount of sauce. Not wet wet but enough to coat. Perfectly cooked. The sauce is mostly shoyu with a little garlic and little sugar. Got it with rice to balance everything out. Super ono. Must try.

    Top: garlic Bottom: shoyu

Finally got to check out Vons Chicken in Mililani that everyone has been raving about them. Located in Mililani Town Center in the old Loco Moco. We got their half crispy garlic wings and half crispy shoyu wings. The half order comes with about 10 pieces each. I called my order in so that we didn't have to wait when we got there. I couldn't wait to go home to try it. When you look at the garlic one it looks super garlicky but the flavor is not super strong and more on the sweeter side. Not really what I was expecting but not bad. The shoyu one was way better than I expected and had the perfect amount of flavor and wasn't too salty. And still crispy even when we got home! The only down side to this place is that you have to pay for the daikon (most places give it to you complimentary). Nonetheless, we're very happy to finally have a "KFC" in our town so we'll definitely be back!

French fries, Snow flavor. Super crispy

I do a lot of errands and run a portion of my life in TC so to have this location is convenient for me. I do miss the old food place that was in here, but at least when it left it provided a great, clean dine-in area for Mr. Cow. Honestly, as far as service, I don't know how to mess this up. You just take my order and then call my number when it's ready. I do notice that they may be the ones cooking it as well, but it's good to know that's how simple these hot dogs are. Overall, it's hard to mess this food up so it makes sense how it's able to expand so fast. Wouldn't be surprised if this place is a franchise. I also really appreciate that it has dippin' dots as well which is a great contrast to the food and there's not many dessert places out there. Or just many dippin' dots vendors out there in general. First time dining here. Four of us made plans to have lunch here at 11 am. 3 of us arrived early…read moreand when the Open sign turned on at 10:30 we entered. We were given a regular menu and a single sheet with Lunch Combos. Three of us decided upon a two choice lunch combo with different choices. One wanted cold noodles. Our jaws literally dropped in awe as the first plate arrived with vegetable tempura and bbq pork. It was humongous!!! My meat Jun and zucchini was pretty huge as well. The person who ordered kalbi with another choice paid $3+ extra for the kalbi selection. We all remarked how delicious our meals were and we all took left overs home. The servers are friendly, refill your water and don't chase you out after you paid the bill. We hadn't all met together since Covid so we had lots to catch up on. You will need to ask for a key to use the outside restroom. The interior furniture and menus show they've been in use for quite some time. If you don't mind that, the food alone is worth coming for or you could order take out.

For the price of the Lunch Combo and our actual Server, the experience was decent. My Parents…read morewanted Korean so we found ourself here. Initially when I had walked in to put my name down, I couldn't find the clip board, a handful of Staff just speed walking around with tunnel vision. I may have been up there for almost 5 mins with no acknowledgement until finally the girl the the clip board comes back and gives me the most stankass attitude when I asked if I could write me name down. Mkay girl. Anyway.. It's cranking with sit-in customers and phone orders. Our Server was very sweet regardless of how busy it was. We all got the Lunch Combo that was less than $20 (unless you upgrade to Kalbi) Food came out fairly quick and we did ask for extra Daikon banchan. I believe the Combo runs until 3:30. Inside is very spacious and have booths that can accommodate large parties but restrooms are shared with the rest of the businesses. It's been over 10 years since I've decided to come back b/c the first visit was a bust and although the way i was welcomed was borderline rude, I'd love to pop in again if in the area.

Finally able to try his place after nagging my Husbabe that ive been wanting to try it out because…read moreof the hype from the people in Wahiawa. This spot is located on the corner of Kilani Ave and Cane St. I personally didn't go in as my Husbabe was the one in the area so I asked if he could stop by. This review is solely in regards to the bento food, not the side dishes that offer. Husbabe stated nice friendly younger worker that was there and a few people in line. We decided to go with LOTS of sides and try out the bento since everyone been hyping the food out here. I got the meatjun bento, which came with chap jae, daikon rice and furikake. My Husbabe got the fishjun bento which also came with the same sides. Let's talk about the bento. My honest review because I had really high hopes, but let's be clear before I go on. We are going to go back and try again, maybe earlier in the day as it was in the afternoon already (12ish). Okay so, the meatjun was really mushy, I thought maybe just that one piece I had, literally couldn't taste the meat, everything seemed mushed together. I tried a 2nd piece and samething. I was really sad :(. I really wanted it to be good. The chap jae was good. The bentos are room temp laid out on a table and not under any sort of warmer, so literally a grab and go. My husband said the same about his fishjun :( . The sauce that came with the meatjun was extremely odd, tasted heavy of some sort of soy sauce. We got gyoza and that was okay, the sauce was the same sauce as the meatjun, so I just made my own sauce. Now let's get to the sides. SOOOOOOOOOOO GOOOD! My husband got the load of variety (pictured below). We are definitely gonna go back to try the bentos again and I gotta say the sides are so worth it tho and that kimchee, chef's kiss...

I love how they make their pancake crispy and it was loaded with seafood in it. We also noticed it had mochi or rice cakes in it which is not something you usually see in seafood pancakes but it was a nice touch. The food came out fast and the prices are ok. I would definitely come here again for their pancakes and maybe try other things from their menu!

I chose the simple Shinramyun ya not the brightest choice on this humid day but didn't want something too heavy as it just need a bit of fuel to get me going and this spot was definitely on my list. Love that they put the spice level beside each item for a heads up the staff here is nice and as they were more flooded with orders than I realized as they do take phone orders it did take a bit for my order. Since I was dining right there among the bench it didn't need to be separated and loved that it was served on a tray along with a side of kimchee yum the ramyun had a soft cooked egg and some carrots a nice and simple snack which gave me much needed boost though as it was basically no different than a bowl of instant noodle this was crazy overpriced and glad that I didn't get the soft tofu which was $13.50 which I didn't need that type of spice in my life. Thank you!
