Ordered a cake for corporate farewell party. The ugliest cake I've ever seen. I was so embarrassed and left the cake in the box. I've ordered cakes from other Von's bakeries before with no problem. The frosting on top was lumpy. The writing looked like a 10 year old did it with. I thought to word placement. the edible design around the sides of the cake that I paid extra for looked like they ran out of strips and just left huge gaps around the cake. Horrible but at that point I had no choice but to take it as my event was that day. I was also afraid to ask them to fix it since they might make it worse if the cake was any evidence of their skill level. Do yourself a favor and don't order a cake from here. read more

I think it's time a manager actually took note of the reviews for this location. Many of the complaints on here are about the extensive wait times to get checked out. Either install a self checkout, or hire more cashiers so my three item purchase doesn't take 45 minutes. I love this brand but this location was disgusting. It looks like small children ran amok down the isles, running their arms along every one of the shelves on the way. The place is always in disarray, there are never enough cashiers, and for some reason the entirety of some aisles smell like extremely offensive body odor. My biggest word of advice is to not use this place as a quick stop on your way home from a long day of work. Head somewhere else nearby for quick pick up groceries where you can actually find things on the shelves and don't have one cashier helping 20 people. read more

This Store is a JOKE. The Store Manager Fawiza is so unprofessional, and her sidekick Ian Monney the Assistant Manager is the definition of RUDE. The Assistant manager treats customers unfair, I am surprised he still has a job. I've talking to other customers and we all think the same way of the assistant manager. The employees at this store need to learn more about customer service. One of the supervisors Guille, is very mean and rude. These managers and supervisors are just very ignorant and rude. The courtesy clerks are very lazy and all I see them doing is standing around texting or talking to other employees instead of doing there job, including helping costumers. They never have enough check stands open, everything around the store is always missed placed or expired. This store is just disgusting, the health department should definitely come and close this store down. I will never come back to this store. Hello, My name is Lorrie and on March 10th, at about 11 pm I visited your location at 4001 Inglewood Ave Redondo Beach, CA 90278. I wandered about buying Milk, Coffee Creamer, some "Mothers" Animal Cookies, and a couple of small beers. (I had hoped to find my Recept with a NUMBER on it for reference for ya, with NO luck. They kept it. When I got to ONE of the registers near the END of the store..(It was a 15 or LESS Register) I encountered "Jesus". And THIS is where it went SOUR! As I put my stuff on the belt he started ringing it up. He was...well it seemed to me....a little "Under The Weather"...(Hung Over??)and there was an oder of Alcohol. He took his time ringing my items, dropping them as he did it, but THAT was ok...and THEN he laid into me about the "CARD". Jesus: "Do you have your REWARDS card today?" Lorrie: (Put's in her Phone number, and NOTE: The REG. LINE at the END of the store..the ONLY REG. Opened, 15 items or LESS..NOW there is a LINE forming.. Lorrie: "It does not seem to work" adding, "Can you please SCAN a card or something?!" (Afterall this IS an AWARDS CARD RIGHT?!?! Not a "Punishment and embarrase card?!?!) To which Jesus reply's.. Von's promotes sales using digital rebates via Paypal but then they don't pay the rebate, didn't send me an email, and failed to solve their issue. 3 weeks and 3 calls later still no $10 REBATE via PayPal. Day or night time, the lines are horrific, when I ask about 3s a crowd you always give me some excuse, not enough employees etc., has it escaped you that you have the word GUARANTEED on your signage?!. On a plus, this location is clean and has a good produce section and bakery. Lines are long, employees are fun and polite, store is clean and has an ample selection of everything, hot deli manager is a jolly old fat guy who is always smiling and apologizes for not being able to move faster. The store is nice and clean, but pretty crowed and sometimes the lines are long depending on what time and when you do your shipping. I always find what I need there. The parking isn't that great since is it a shared lot with all the other shops and stores that surround Von's as well. If I could give a lower score I would. I'm disabled so this was my source for food. Ordered a few days in advance. Received confirmation and waited for my delivery between 6-7 pm. No show by 7 so I checked the status on the app and it said delivered. I sent a message at about 7:40 and was told there was a problem with my credit card. Checked with my bank and saw they did the test charge and there was no problem. Called my bank just in case and they said no problem. Never received an official notification that my delivery would not happen until 3 days later and they said it was my credit card. This is deplorable and don't waste your time. read more

My mom wasn't feeling good so on my way home I stopped in this location for the first time for a couple cans of chicken noodle soup. It's a grocery store. Their prices aren't that great in comparison to Ralph's or albertsons, but it is okay. This review is mostly for the sushi. Granted, I get that you shouldn't have high hopes for sushi from a grocery store, but this was literally the worst sushi I have EVER had. The rice itself made me want to gag. First and foremost let me start off by saying I'm a long-time valued Vons member I honestly won't shop at any other place or my groceries. I recently injured myself and have become disabled, not giving me the option to come in to a store anymore due to not being able to drive. So I figured Von's.com delivery service would be the best option for me to get my groceries especially since I've tried it years before and had such a great experience. Unfortunately this time around was NOT a good experience at all quite ridiculous, horrible in fact my order came from Redondo Beach Vons. When first opening my door because I hear a knock a man is just standing in complete silence doesn't introduce himself or anything, granted it looks like the delivery man cuz I see my groceries on the ground in front of him. I say, "hello good morning" he doesn't speak at all... I opened my door to him and say, "hello, good morning" again he still doesn't say anything. Then all of a sudden he hands me a clipboard with a bunch of papers on it and says, "where do you want this stuff", referring to my groceries I believe. I point him in the direction of a small carpeted area in my living room to place them and open my screen door wide for him enough to get inside easliy. He starts bringing my groceries in and still not saying anything as I'm holding the clipboard trying to see if everything is there accounted for then I noticed the last couple of trips of him coming in and out bringing in the groceries he starts getting very lackluster and careless with my items and starts tossing/throwing my groceries on the floor. When he was done tossing the last bag on the floor he just stood there and looked at me and says nothing so I look at him and I said, "what is this you just handed me a clipboard?" I even say," oh you know Im new to this what am I supposed to do with this" ( just to see what he says) I said "you've told me nothing and just handed me this clipbord. " he said, "oh my bad you sign right here" and he slightly grabs the clipboard from me and lifts up some papers he also then throws in the fact that if something is missing just call the number on the back of the papers. I simply said, "okay thank you" and he says nothing and leaves walking straight out of my door not saying" goodbye thank you for shopping with us have a good day" nothing. He just walked straight out of my door and leaves my screen door wide open. As I look down to start trying to put my groceries away I see that some of the groceries from where he tossed the bags had ripped open I had grapes everywhere in a bag, ice cream with melted and we put that on its side instead of setting it straight up.. it was all just absurd. This was just ridiculous customer service and very uncalled for. I've already reported it to the number on the back of my recipient vons.com I also want an operations manager to contact me within the next 48 hours. If not I'll be contacting corporate about this matter. I am just livid about this whole experience and I don't think I'll be shopping at Vons anymore due to this. read more

This review is for Wells Fargo in Vons. They try to expedite the line as fast as possible. I really like how they offer candy and water to their customers, but do they have to say "here at Wells Fargo we like to over and beyond for our customers....would you like a water". This Vons is ALWAYS ALWAYS super clean and organized. Each department has wonderful staff. It's never difficult to find what you're looking for. The only downside is coming in here early morning (which I do quite often before going in to work to pick up a small breakfast) and there's only ONE cashier. This turns a 3 minute trip to 10 minutes because you're waiting in line so long. They should DEFINITELY get with the times and add a couple self-checkouts. Other than that, I LOVE this Vons! Their place is nice. I like that there is a bank branch inside. They have well stocked isle. Good customer service and in addition, a starbuck corner. I am giving then 3 stars its because their bathroom suck! Its.pretty gross. No napkins and towels, toilets were very filthy and dark. Also it smells funky! This is my favorite Vons in the area. It is huge and has a wonderful selection. The is a nice bakery, deli, meat counter, and a very large produce area. There is also a Wells Fargo and a Starbucks inside. The staff is also very friendly and helpful. read more

I somtimes stop at this Vons on my way home. It is conveniently located right off the fwy. It is not logistically arranged like the Ralph's I know. Anyhow, neither are the other stores I frequent such as Trader Joe's which; I enjoy just as much. The checker Jon makes it so genuine and pleasant considering any circumstances and can multi task and adapt at the Redondo store off Inglewood and Prairie. I also really like learning to sign to the gentleman at the Deli at the Gardena store who is always so pleasant too! read more

I like shopping at this grocery store. For some of my basic groceries. I feel many items are price high, but I buy the items on sale anyway and use coupons. They have the nices folks working in produce. and in many of the other departments as well. They are very helpful when you ask for assistance. This store is a pleasure to shop at. It's always clean and never seems too crowded. For the best values though, I suggest buying your chicken/meat and produce at Big Savers in Hawthorne. read more

I unfortunately work right next to this vons, the employees there are kind of rude and I feel like they don't know what they are doing. This morning for example, the cashier was running late so they weren't opening the doors until whomever got there and, the person who greeted me asked me what I wanted and I said frozen food and he basically said "I guess you can come in"! So I pick out what I want and went to the Starbucks line since there is no cashier still and the girl helped me but it also felt as so she was bothered.
