I was so disappointed with their floral. Went on fb city group asking for recommendations for homecoming flowers, several people suggested here. I said why not it's close to home and usually their flowers are fresh. I went in and ordered 1 week in advance and asked to pick them up the night before because I didn't want to run around stressing about flowers on the day of the event. They made me pay upfront...ok fine but then the night before the event I go to pick up and they weren't done my order was filled and the lady who was suppose to do them went home and wouldn't come back. Thank god I went the day before. So I was told that she comes back at 6am and she would do them first thing and the minute they were done they would call me. So the next day it was noon and still no call. I went in and thank goodness they were ready but no call, no I'm sorry we messed up. And to top it the ribbon didn't match and when we came in to order we even took the dress. The older lady with dark hair that works that area was rude when I picked up. Never again will I order from vons. So said guess they are a store for food only ‍! I should have went with the florist and not trusted a vons flower person who was rude and unreliable. This is one of the best Vons locations around. It's a fairly new store, well organized, has a big selection, and the employees are friendly and helpful. Like all Vons stores it can be overpriced on certain items (such as breakfast cereal) but if you use coupons and watch for sales, that's not too much of a problem. This store has decent produce and meat departments, and has a very good selection of packaged goods. The deli and bakery are good, too. Service is excellent, and there is never a wait at checkstands. This location has gas pumps, which usually have good prices. But they're a bit awkwardly positioned, and long lines can form when the prices are especially good. read more

Generally Vons provides good service and good prices. The one thing I have to complain about is the handicap scooters they have. As big as the store is and as big as the corporation is, they can afford to provide at least 1 more and fix the broken (white) one they have. I'm handicapped (need left knee, right hip, heart replaced) and have difficulty walking any distance-sometimes across the living room. As such I really appreciate and use the scooter...when available. It's not always available though and when not I usually go to another store where they almost always have 2 for their smaller store. If they ever get more they should put them on the east side to balance out the availability. Perhaps I have no right to complain since it is their store and I don't think the scooters are required by law, but I can tell you with all sincerity that you don't know how difficult life is until you get hit with a life changing event/events. read more

This is a pretty nice Vons... I feel funny giving a chain restaurant a 5-star rating, and this Vons wasn't so mindblowing as to overcome that funny feeling. it's definitely a nice store, maybe even one of the nicer Vons I've been too. The staffers are nice.. they ran out of steaks, and the meat section lady quickly brought more out with a smile, even letting me have first pick off the cart. The convenience is perfect for anyone near the busy corner of Foothill/Euclid. The flower are always fresh, and the coffee and smoothies are refreshing. The deli has a quick meal if your on the road. The only imperfection in my eyes is the gas station that seems to have gone away from the 3 cent discount for Von members. And, maybe I missed it, but the 10 cent difference for credit vs. cash was not explained. Still, exceptional product and services. Prices are up, customer service is worse, carts are falling apart. The Vons official coupon app does NOT work, so you end up walking around scanning for coupons only to not get the discount at the register. i think this is the only chain grocery store and they have the huge gas station at the entrance....so did our shopping for food etc here so we could get points for fuel.... bought some ice here...although Kmart was the bomb on ice...sorry vons.... Review is on Vons Gas Station on Foothill Blvd., Upland. Be aware when paying cash. At this gas station, the cashier is in an enclosed glass shed/box. I placed $30 in a small plastic bowl in slider. The little door closes and cashier slides money towards him and I mention $25.00 on pump #1. I had to tell him the pump number three different times for some reason? I guess because he's in a glass enclosed box and could not hear me? I looked at pump to make sure that was the correct number. (First time at station.) Then he says, you only gave me "two tens". Now, because I was in the state of mind that I wasn't sure about the pump number, I started second guessing myself about the amount I put down, so I believed him, for that second. But I know I gave him $30 because when I was walking towards the cashier to pay, I arranged my money and placed the $20 underneath the $10 (OCD). Because he's the only one in the "box" and customer does not have eye on the money once slider door closes to confirm, it's his word against mine. He could easily switch money without customer noticing because we are on the other side of the window and don't have a good view. Not the same as going in a convenience store. I visited you guys store to buy the 4 for $5.00 leaf teas but unfortunately I wasn't able to find them. I asked the cashier Frank scanned a few of the other leaf teas. I bought to register but those weren't the correct one. I asked him where would the four fir $5.00 teas could be in you guys store? He just blow me off and said it should be on the aisle. I mentioned they weren't there. He even asked his co-worker across from him she just hunched up her shoulders. Frank nor his co-worker tried to call management or anyone to find out where the juice could have be located in you guys store. The item was on sale for one day only. Way, way too many panhandlers in the parking lot. Also be aware that some of the signature gatherers are totally full of sh**! I had a young lady totally misrepresenting what she was gathering signatures for, she lied about trying to keep pot dispensaries at least 1000 feet from schools, turns out she was actually trying to get marijuana dispensaries on the ballot to MOVE INTO Upland. Be careful what you are signing, some of these people are liars. I let her know where she could shove her pot and her lies. Upland would be better off without people like this. If they keep more of these people out of the parking lot this place would have a lot more business, I avoid places with this kind of harassment in the parking lot and I am sure I am not the only one. read more

I'm very frustrated after my visit today. I usually shop at a competitor, but it was hot and I wanted to stay close to the house (Vons is one block from our house, the other on Mountain and Foothill). I needed only a few things, including kidney beans and a vegetarian meat option for my son and his girlfriend. I checked the canned vegetable aisle--no kidney beans. I looked up and down the aisle that said, "Rice/Beans." No kidney beans, and kidney beans did not show up the other three times I walked up and down the aisle. Now, I'm getting frustrated. As far as the vegetarian meat substitute, The only options they had were of the frozen variety, and despite the efforts of staff, they only had those options to offer. Since I wasn't finding anything very easily, I decided to get back into the car and go to my regular grocery store. When I tried to exit the store and put the cart back, however, I tripped some alarm and something prevented me from exiting the store with the empty cart to put it back. I just left it there. I only come here if I am absolutely desperate, because I know that I will pay double and get horrible customer service. Whether its at the deli dept or at the counter, the workers have no sense of urgency and just look and act like they are being bothered. Just go to any other vons than this one. Most of the time they are ill stocked. But what rubbed me the wrong way was the rudeness of the self check out employee. When i asked why i wasnt able to check myself out at the self checkout, the rude employee monitoring the self check out isle snidely asked, "well, do you have any alcoholic beverages?" To which i answered, "No. I do not". She walked up to my area and retrieved the nyquil that was in my bag, "If you can read the sign it clearly states no alcoholic beverages" She said again in a rude tone while she waves the bottle of nyquil in my face. Maybe in the inland empire, Nyquil is considered an alcoholic beverage but to people living in more civilized communities its called medicine. Vanilla extract is made of alcohol and in fact has a higher percentage than whisky...that seamed to scan fine. read more

We ran in for a trip to the bathroom and a quick bite to eat. The bathrooms were decent. The service, however, was exceptional! Everyone was so friendly. I ended up getting a premade dinner (chicken strips and fries) and the guy who helped me was very friendly and conversational. The food itself was really good too! I also stopped at Starbucks, being the junkie that I am, and was pleasently surprised to taste that my drink had been made right. I like this Vons. I don't really know why they remodeled again recently, it wasn't very old. I guess it was to add a fake wooden floor under the produce section. They now have a large organic fruit/vegetable section and they have a wide variety of health type foods. There are never long lines here (at least that I've seen) and the bakery always smells like DONUTS (that's a good thing). It can be sort of a rip off a lot of the time, but if you buy only the stuff on sale you will get good deals. Their avocado wrap sort of things freshly made in the sushi section are quite delightful too. The starbucks in this location kinda sucks though. read more

Crystal is Horrible manager or as she says supervisor at the Upland Vons store off of Euclid and Foothill, she was extremely rude and unprofessional. I had smart waters that were individual bottles that were rung up by the cashier as 6 packs. These items should of been a couple dollars each but were charged as $11.99 each instead. This was a store error where someone stocked individual waters out of a pack of six. I noticed I was over charged after being rung up. Crystal was notified by the cashier to make this transaction correct. She was annoyed to help us and acted as if we took these individual waters out of a six pack and never took accountability of the stores stocking error even after she walked back there herself and realized it was indeed a stocking error. She never apologized for the inconvenience and took her time on helping us and helped other customers in the middle of helping us. She had a bad attitude and is a horrible representation of the store. read more

I signed up for on-line coupons and then used my own coupons and they didn't take their on-line coupons off. Had i not noticed it they would've not taken their coupons off. I stopped by Vons in Upland to buy a couple frozen pizzas for dinner. To my surprise when I opened up one box there was a light glaze of white over the entire pizza. I looked at the date on the box it had expired 2years ago!!!! I took it back to vons letting the clerk know it was expired and she should check the other frozen foods, she dismissed me and just said ok. I took several pizzas off the shelf and brought them over to her, showing her that there are 4 other expired pizzas on the shelf. Very unprofessional store I ordered 3 days in advance a tiramisu cake ,I requested this cake to be ready by 10:00 am on Saturday for my baby shower, but, What a surprise! I have no problem with Vons. However, the service at the Starbucks inside is disappointing. I was next in line for 15 minutes while the Starbucks barista and a customer chit chatted the whole time, and proceeded to make her coffees before taking my order or anyone behind me. The lady behind me even spoke up about it. She then interrupted me several times when trying to take my order, not listening to what I'm trying to say. I ordered a white mocha and an americano. Pretty simple, right? Guess not, got both orders wrong and my americano turned out to be a plain black coffee. Of course, I couldn't try it because it was extremely hot until I got all the way home.
