I want to make sure my post makes it to the right people so here we go! I came in last night almost towards closing which I never do.. I always feel guilty doing so because I know how it is working for a grocery store and let me tell you.. its not easy. Everyone needs to do grocery shopping but a lot of people take us for granted and I really want this store to get the recognition they deserve. I needed to pick up a few things. I was rushing because I did not want to intrude on the night shift stocking products for the next day. Never did they make me feel like I was unwanted and they did not make me feel like I was in the way. Everyone who was working this shift last night was incredibly so cheerful. Mind you.. it was close to closing too! I wouldn't blame them if they were on their off game but wow. I am truly impressed. I was pretty shocked because the Vons that I normally go to are quite rude no matter what time of day I go.. on multiple occassions. Hector, who was my cashier was so kind. Very attentive and so full of energy even though it was close to closing. I really appreciated him because he was a one man show and doing all the bagging himself. Never did he look tired or out of place. He was extremely quick and knowledgeable with all the questions I had. He was extremely careful with my groceries because I had a lot of fragile products too. I'm so appreciative because I was trying to make Christmas snacks and any crushed items would not be presentable. Thank you Hector! Michael, the manager is also very sincere. He answered all the questions I asked and was ready to give me an answer. I really want these two to get the recognition they deserve because I know this is how they are even though I have just met them. You can tell they are genuinely good people and we don't see that a lot nowadays because everyone is so busy and in a rush all the time. Thank you to Hector and Michael for helping me out tonight. Unfortunately I am moving so I won't be able to come here as much as I would like but thank you for making my night and just showing people empathy and compassion. I've been a lifelong Albertsons customer, my mother worked for the company, and I've always trusted the brand. But after this experience, I'm seriously reconsidering that. I placed a drive-up pickup order at this Upland, CA location. The total was over $250, and I was missing more than $118 worth of food, including filet mignon, chicken, and ground beef. I reported it right away, but my refund request was denied without explanation multiple times. I've called customer service several times, spent over an hour on the phone, was hung up on, and time after time, no resolution. Despite providing documentation and following all the proper channels, no one at the store or customer service has helped. As a retired U.S. Marine Corps veteran, I value integrity, responsibility, and clear communication. Albertsons has failed in all of these. For a company I grew up supporting, this is deeply disappointing. After visiting Target and not finding what I was looking for which was heart-shaped Valentine's Day candy, I thought of Albertsons that happens to be across the street from Target. Jackpot for me! I was on a mission in search for my heart-shaped candy LOL. I was focused and didn't allow anything to distract me. I know how I can be when it comes to shopping. I have a tendency to wander and other items catch my eyes and I give in at times LOL. I call it weakness LOL. Anyway, this store was bright and clean. I didn't have to walk too far into the aisles to find what I was looking for. I got lucky and found a heart-shaped box with Ghirardelli chocolates that happen to be heart-shaped. Yes, I hit the jackpot indeed. It had a price tag of $16.99 which I thought was very pricey. However, it had a 50% off sticker on it which would have been $8.49ish... still pricey if you ask me. I was hesitant to get it so I walked out without buying it. Then I called my youngest daughter because it was for her class party. After speaking with her, I didn't want to go scavenger hunting for heart-shaped chocolates since Valentine's Day was already over and not knowing which stores still have Valentine's candy. So I did what my intuition told me to do, walk right back into Albertsons and buy that Ghirardelli heart-shaped box of chocolates LOL. I had to bite the bullet and pay $8.49ish for the chocolates. Well, lucky me again, it turned out that it was 50% off of the already 50% off times 2. Yes, if you did the math right, it was just a little bit over $2. WOW and SWEET... I was surprised and pleased at the same time. I could have bought 3 more boxes for the price of $8+ that I was willing to pay for, but I didn't. Just got the one box. Thank you universe for looking out for me! Thanks Albertsons for the great discount! Thank you staff for your great service! P.S. Before I went to the cashier, I found a one dollar bill on the floor. I placed it into one of those donation boxes... you know what I'm talking about. This was before I found out about the great discount I was about to receive. Today I was accused of cutting the line by the self check out lady, I was in line then I moved to the other side and the people behind me stated she was closing so I moved back in my spot lady like you just cut In front of them I said nah I was here first and I moved and they told me you were closing the other registers so I moved back she hesitated and the people behind me said yea she's good, the employee never apologized for her mistake, she literally wanted to tear me apart you could tell, I wanted to speak to a manager but every time I have an issue no one around or make me wait an amount of time. when I went in last night this lady said that I needed to leave because It was near closing time, mind you there was manyyyy other people in the stores while I walked in. First, I'm 74 years old, and while he listened and attempted to cut my meat as I wanted it, I had to ask him to clean the old scraps of meat off the slicer before cutting my meat. He kept referring to me as "boss." Black people during Jim Crow used were expected to use "boss" to address the whites they worked or sharecropped for. I'm Black and frankly I hate being addressed as "boss"; it feels like I'm being condescended to with an ironic and sarcastic slight. "May I help you" or4 "How can I help you" is just fine for me. Finally, Albertsons has opted to sell us the cheapest bags that exist at ten cents each. They tear and the handles come off so easily. I asked the man bagging my groceries today to please double the bags if he was going to load them heavily I and I explained why. As I was paying the cashier, he loaded the bags; when I turned to leave, I showed him where one had torn before I even left the store. He became a bit annoyed and snapped, "Okay! I'll put your stuff in another bag!" When I got to my car, I found that some of the bags he'd loaded already had handles torn off and were torn. One bag had glass bottles in it. My question is just ?WHY? has Albertsons chosen to treat us customers like this. Food is so expensive, and I just can't afford to have my expensive groceries crash to ground as I load them in the car because Albertsons doesn't give a d--n. I will shop much less often at Albertsons and Vons. I will try their competitors: Ralphs, Stater Brothers, Sprouts. This is my neighborhood Albertsons. The staff is always pleasant and helpful. They are usually well stocked in all items, and the store is always clean. Staff is always wearing masks, following Covid protocols. The main reason that gets them five stars is because they always have plenty of fresh and affordable flowers. Even during a holiday or special event such as valentines or Mother's Day, the inventory doesn't run low. You can totally count on them for last minute floral needs. Love this Albertsons!! We live close by so this is our go to grocery store. I prob come here a few times a week to get stuff we need. The inside of the store is clean and they usually have what we need in stock. All the employees we've interacted with are very nice and helpful. Definitely use their app to apply coupons and see what sales they have. The only thing I don't like, and this might be fore Albertsons/Vons stores in general, is the meat here is not always the best quality. Sometimes even the discounted meat looks a little sketchy. This is strictly for the Bakery department. I've been ordering cakes here for 17 years. The last 3 orders have been a total disappointment. 1st order was for my daughters 16th birthday. She customized everything a week before but when we went to pick it up the day of her party, no cake was made. Had to buy a premade cake that looked like a 60 year olds cake. Cue the tears... 2nd order (different child) - cupcakes were made with buttercream and I ordered whipped cream frosting. Daughter refused to have cake on her own birthday. 3rd order - Bakery refused to even take the order. I am so disappointed ..... with save on pharmacy in Albertsons upland colonies . Last week I dropped off a prescription I told them I would be back in a day or 2 to pick it up..... I went Sunday to get the prescriptions after 5 days and the girl at the counter told me it was not ready I said what 5 days later? . This review is for Savon Pharmacy inside the Albertson store. This is the very best pharmacy I have ever gone to! The pharmacist and staff are so hard working and really care for their patients. They have prescriptions filled quickly. They have a drive up window. I had an incident that I left urgent care at 4:40 on a Sunday afternoon and I called them and said I was sick and couldn't wait until Monday for the prescriptions. Even though they closed at 5 and were busy the prescriptions were filled for me before they closed! You all are appreciated and I wish I could do more to recognize your awesome work ethic! read more

I shop here because it close to home. The price to is the same as other grocery stores. The only issues I have is with Papayas and Plantains.The papayas never ripe nor do the plaintains; They go bad on me. I gave up on them so I don't buy them here. The staff is normally friendly and willing to assist or answer any question. I'm glad they opened the self checkout but sometimes that takes long too. The store is clean. Bad experience today at this Albertsons. I went to checkout at one if the 10 items or less checkouts and I placed my plastic bag on the bag holder expecting the cashier would bag my groceries. I had 5 items . After swiping my card I noticed that the cashier moved my plastic bag back and placed it on top of the items. She gave me my receipt and just stood there. I looked at her and NOTHING. After a few seconds I realized that she didn't want to bag them. I bagged them. REALLY? Talk about the lack of customer service. There was nobody behind me waiting in line. read more

I was in the store today with my dog I put a blanket down and he was in the cart. I didn't see a problem as I have been in with him SEVERAL times before and not one employee said I couldn't have him in there. Also he is a mini dachshund and is only 9 months old, he is just a harmless puppy. I was shopping and as I turned the corner down an aisle I was confronted by the manager James. He very rudely told me that I couldn't have my dog in the store and I had to leave immediately, I was a little shocked as I had been in there several times over almost the course of a year and no one has said anything to me including other managers. I have been in there so often with him that several of the employees know my dog by name. I begin to push the cart towards the front of the store and he demanded that I take the dog out of the cart immediately. Then I said can I just walk to the front of the store, and then he yelled for another employee to remove my dog from the cart. So I go to get all of my stuff and my dog out and he begins to take the cart away with my groceries in it. My mom was with me and tried to get my items out of the cart to put in hers and he proceeded to drag the cart away and when my mom said she wanted those items he was extremely rude to her. So I leave the store and I'm standing outside and he comes out to confront me for a second time. He stated that another employee had already told me to leave the store with my dog I commented that I had not talked to anyone and he YELLED back "Are you saying I'm lying!!!" I simply said back yes because no one had spoke to me previously. I had no problem taking the dog out however his demeanor and the way he spoke to my mom was extremely rude and extremely unprofessional. I will not be returning to the store. He made no attempt apologize or even acknowledge my mom after that. My family and I have spent much of our hard earned money there and to be treated the way we were today is outrageous. I enjoy coming to this Albertsons because I can check several thIngs off my list in one location: grocery shopping, ready made rotisserie chicken for dinner, redbox, Starbucks, and coin star! This is also my go to store for flowers. This week I came in for Sunflowers and the lovely clerk took the time to look in the shipment boxes and find the sunflowers for me! She chose semi closed stems noting that they will last longer this way. I was impressed with her knowledge and kindness in her customer service! Everyone here is friendly and I enjoy chatting for a moment with the employees. While this is not my normal go-to grocery store in my hometown, I never mind having to run in here for any needed items. This store has anything you need to feed or manage your household including a Starbucks for that extra-needed caffeine. They have a full service deli, florist, pharmacy, butcher department, etc. and so much more. I always appreciate the employees at this location who are super friendly and helpful. My best friend and I recently ran in here for some last minute supplies for a party and I wish I caught the name of the cashier because she was so sweet. This store is located in a newer shopping center and shares a large parking lot. However, I feel that since this area is still being developed, this store never gets too busy (which is nice). The Store Director was quick to resolve a scanning issue in regards to pricing on Pepsi products. If you are using Just For You Digital Coupons be sure that the items scan correctly as far as pricing is concerned. I had to make 2 trips back to the store to resolve the issue. In California many of the major grocery chain stores have been in trouble with pricing errors. 5 stars for the Store Director Larry. One star if that was possible for the scanning error. The Upland Albertsons has a great location that I find easy access to though it is further than other markets in my neighborhood. I like that it is across the street from Target, and one signal away from the 210. Seems like a strange way to start a review, but it is one of the reasons for switching my prescriptions to this store. (Though... I wish that the corporate folks would change their text messages to read "Albertsons" rather than "Vons" when sending me alerts that my meds are ready for pick up. Yes, I know that Vons and Albertsons are now related...) Another thing I like about this store, which also relates to accessibility, is how wide the aisles are, how easy it is to reach things, and the availability of products I need, like and just plain can't wait to eat, like their donuts. The store is rarely busy during the day, and weekends are pretty easy to navigate too with plenty of cashiers at the ready. There are a couple of chatty young guys that sometimes get in the way, but they're cute and try to be helpful. Staff is friendly and doesn't spend a lot of time talking with their coworkers and ignoring the customers, so happy about that! read more

I have been a loyal customer buying our birthday cakes. I have noticed a few months back I bought one and it was not good. I gave it another try yesterday for my husband's birthday and it was terrible!! It was dry and it had a strong freezer burn taste. Very disappointing and embarrassing!!
