The atmosphere is really what sets this apart from others. An open air spot on the side gets you a quieter experience. Went with a decent size youth baseball team and they had things to do outside which was nice. The food is pretty good with some interesting options. I like the bowls but if you're not a fan of quinoa there isn't an alternative (like rice). I've had it twice now and the second time wasn't as good as the first -- the story of life I suppose. Waited over an hour and a half for two buffalo chicken mac and cheeses. The service was lackluster, to say the least--no updates on the food, and I had to flag down a server just to ask (not easy, considering they wear plain clothes and aren't particularly outgoing). No one offered drink refills, even with empty glasses and an open tab, and the overall vibe just wasn't welcoming. After such a long wait, the food was decent, but for me, the service was such a turnoff that I wouldn't recommend this place. While traveling I always try to experience a local brewery. Voodoo Brew Pub was near our hotel. The ambience was average, but the customer service by Danielle and her co-worker was excellent! Both very attentive to me and all the customers. Ordered two different pizzas to go, wasn't that great. Can't speak for other items on the menu but would definitely pass on them next time. As for the primary purpose of my visit, BEER! I ordered a flight and tasted the it Hazy Vibes IPA, Thunder Lizard Imperial IPA, Where Our Secrets Go Imperial Stout and Winona's Big Brown Ale. Loved each of the tasters! Would have stayed and had more but wanting to stay happily married I needed to get our food back to my wife at our hotel. I don't have many positive things to say. We ordered our food through their ticket system at 8:15. We didn't receive our food until 9 pm and it was not busy at all. We ordered an appetizer and it came out at the same time as our regular food. The food itself was eh. We had to send food back because it was cold, almost as if it was sitting for quite awhile. We just ate at the Voodoo Brew Pub. It was fantastic. Danielle was our waitress and she was amazing. A ten out of ten. She recommended just the right beers and the hamburger that we needed. Food was amazing. The Vodoo Burger was so tasty. The beer war spectacular. we are a little disappointed that they don't have cans to sell s o we could bring some home with us. Sometimes I feel like all I need in life is good beer with a nice soft pretzel and a large scoop of fries on the side (yes, carb me up) so I was quite the happy camper when I checked out this new brewery and saw they offer all of the above! The menu is actually quite expansive to accommodate all sorts of cravings and there are options outside of beer as well. The owners being really friendly is just the icing on the top. All in all, great place to hang out and will definitely be coming back to try the beer and food options I didn't get to. My wife and I stopped in her just to grab a beer and the menu looked so good we decided to stay for lunch. Best decision of the day! The black and blue burger was juicy and cooked to perfection. Truffle fries were so good they were basically inhaled. The chorizo and lime muscles were sweet and tasty. And to top it all off. The service is awful. Having no service except a drink maker and food runner is crap restaurant business and probably why we were the only people there for dinner time. No one wants to sit and order online. You can't ask questions. It takes forever to make alternatives. What could have been an order taken by an actual person in a matter of seconds took us over 15 minutes. I guess if you're thirsty order a drink first and leave tab open or wait a good 20 minutes just for a soda. Having a station where you go to get your silverware, napkins, plates for apps, and cups for water all while nasty rags, cleaning supplies and soapy water bucket sit is disturbing. While we struggled to order the two employees sat behind the bar bored and probably miserable with the lack of business and money to be made. They would have received a higher tip but the restaurant had decided they deserve less work therefore making less tips. If we weren't starving and everywhere else having a wait we would have left just because the atmosphere is lackluster. I'm 34 years old and even I don't want to sit on my phone ordering food and drinks. I'm not sure who their target audience is because as a millennial it's not me. It's definitely not anyone older than me. And the younger crowd ain't coming here either. It's sad because the food was excellent. Frustrating they offer GF options and say they have hand cut fries which is what we wanted but their QR menu system says they only have battered fries. So not hand cut and not gluten free. Chicken sandwich and burger were tasty but not worth coming back to a half a$$ make shift "restaurant". I hope they aren't wondering why they are struggling to stay afloat because plenty of reviews complain of the same crap lack of service. read more

VooDoo Brew Pub is a must if you're in the Myrtle Beach area! Their craft beer selection offers a wide range of options from light to dark and there is plenty to choose from if you prefer seltzers, wine or cocktails. The craft cocktails are really good and pop with color and fresh ingredients, like mint or pineapple as seen in my photo I am sharing. What won me over further was the food selection - which can be described as eclectic. They really impressed with their ability to put a unique spin on pub favorites like pizza, burgers and handheld sandwiches. The pickle pizza really impressed and the portions were a great size, which is honestly tough to find in this economy as it seems everyone is scaling back. The atmosphere was very cool with unique art and color schemes and most importantly a very friendly and attentive staff. Great addition to Broadway at the Beach and Myrtle in general.
