There's an undeniable prevalence of boba competition in the southwest part of the city -- seems like there's a shop on every major corner, so my tea ratings are a little more picky and selective. Working on this side of town, one of my new hobbies consists of trying out boba places on my lunch break. Gives me something to look forward to. Vova Cafe features a unique 2D concept for its ambiance. Fun and novel. Service is efficient, interactions kept to a minimum on both visits. They offer teas and desserts, most notable their "croiffle" which is a cross between a croissant and a waffle. On my first visit, I got their STRAWBERRY MATCHA milk tea, which I did NOT like. The strawberry portion was like a basic syrup lined around the cup. It just seemed to overpower, not complement. To me, the matcha portion tasted overly sweetened and inauthentic. Not my jam. The second visit I skipped their drinks and decided to try their croiffle. I went with the PISTACHIO CROIFFLE, which was good and presented nicely. I didn't really get the croissant vibe, more waffle in nature. I was the only one in the cafe at the time, so I got it pretty fast. Only wish it came out warmer than it did. I probably wouldn't go back for the drinks as there's too much competition out there like I mentioned, but their croiffles are worth trying. Great portion and variety. read more

Unique black and white designed sketched cafe that offers classic boba drinks! I would say that the drinks are on the sweeter side, so I don't find myself here a lot. The servers are kind. We got the strawberry matcha, and there wasn't that strong of a matcha taste, and the strawberry syrup was quite sweet and overpowering. read more

I found my milk tea and croiffle spot. They make the best tasting and cooked right croiffle. And I love their matcha with the coconut milk. Service is fast. The only thing I don't like is outside the door there's a young man begging for money so he can buy a drink from here. And also young people like to hang out here and they can be loud and some of them have no manners Like demanding water from the staff without saying please. read more

VOVA? A unique name for a unique place! First time here and it was definitely a cute experience. We walked in and it felt like we were in a cartoon! They definitely made an effort to make it look as though you are part of an animation and we loved it! The best part? You can chill and hangout and play games! They had mini games like UNO, Connect 4, cards, and much more on the tables so you can enjoy your drink while having fun too! Oh and did I mention the drinks? If you love boba, you'll enjoy a variety of their selection of drinks and you can customize them too! from sweetness level to iced for smoothie. They'll accommodate you as best they can! We ordered the strawberry matcha milk tea with 50% sweet and it was just the right amount of sweetness! We also ordered the jasmine green tea 75% sweet which was also delicious! This is such a cute boba cafe off of Warm Springs and Durango and I love their 2D theme. My family and I came one night 1 hr before closing. The staff was already tidying up but was friendly as they assisted us. I got Hokkaido milk tea and the boba was still fresh. read more

When you try a new boba place with good reviews, and it turns out bad and regret not going to your fav. boba .. Ask for recommendations and order pinacolada slush with boba's. The slush is not sweet at all and very little hint of colada (too much ice and not enough flavour) and it doesn't look like the picture display. l think my homemade is better.. The worst is the boba, very hard and chewy.. Never coming here again. read more

Ambiance of this cafe is so cute! Although the drink quality isn't really good tbh. I've had way better drinks from other places. I got the Royal milk tea, and the flavor of the drink is just like milk with a hint of tea. It's probably because the don't use real tea and just a powder (I assume) The boba was good though! I always come here and I love the drinks, but this time I went and there was a sign on the door that said "I'll be back 7:00". I wasn't sure what that meant because it was already 7:30 but I walked around a little and ended up driving around, came back at 8:00 and the door was still locked with that sign. I think I wouldn't have had a problem with it if the sign was clear about the time they'll be back because I'm not sure if 7:00 was the time they'll left or when they were supposed to be back but it was already 8:00 and I just ended up going somewhere else. read more

We spontaneously came here because we had a craving for Boba! I believe the worker was maybe the owner. She was so very nice and and formative their options for drinks have great variety. I do wish that they had more gluten-free pastries like mochi, donuts, or something. It was really cute design inside. The walls are so cool. I wish I would've taken a picture. But I guess you need to go see for yourself! If you guys are waiting for your Boba, there's also a little games that you can play. We decided to play tic-tac-toe and connect four. We got the taro slush with a taro Malona bar inside and Hokkaido with Boba. My Hokkaido didn't need a little more ice. The taro was so freaking good, definitely recommend! can't wait to come back here to try different ones especially now that I know they have a reward system! read more

Another favorite cafe/beverage spot. Cute inside. All beverages are good, have quality in taste and flavors. Huge menu of options to choose from. The place is unique and casual. Love the interior decorations and illustrations on walls. Very simple set up inside. Public restrooms are available. Staffs are helpful. I like that there were no long lines or crowds. It's located in an unpopular plaza, a bit old from the outside look of it. When you enter, you can order at kiosk to the immediate left side or up at the cashier counter. It reminds me of my old childhood memories of artworks on walls, writings on tables, etc. Black and white is plain and simple, but it definitely stands out in Las Vegas since it's the first one I've seen for a cafe decorated like this one. It's a small spot, but cute for sure. Inexpensive. I went with the good tasting earl grey milk tea and regular coffee. Beverage prices are decent and much cheaper than in CA or NY as usual. Decorations extends to the hallway leading to the restrooms in back. Nice. Very good vibes. If you like uniqueness, you found something interesting here. I visit cafes for new experiences. The 2-D concept of VOVA is super cute and one I've seen from other cafes. The taro slush I ordered was decent. There was a good taste to it but I've had taro slush whose flavor doesn't separate from the slushy part of the drink. Where VOVA disappointed the most was the fact that it took almost 25 minutes to get our order. There was a group of 5 that had ordered before us. However, I've been to many boba spots flooded with orders that manage to get peoples' order in a timely manner. read more

New Boba spot in the Spring Valley area. Upon entering, I noticed the unique, cartoon theme. The employee did not hear me enter the building, so I waited for a couple of minutes, but she apologized. Maybe a bell could be useful to o avoid this. The drinks were fairly priced around $5.45 and about $.50 more for toppings. I opted for the large fresh, mango smoothie at 75% sweetness with boba. The drink did very well tasted like real mangoes just how I wanted. As of 10/19/23, there was a special for any regular drink plus a crouffle (waffle dessert with toppings) for $9.99 which sounds like a pretty good deal to me. Overall, I will try that deal next time with a different drink. read more

Came in here for a quick boba stop and saw the cutest interior which is adorable for photos! The BANANA MATCHA is absolutely delicious. I would come back for that! I ordered a brown sugar boba as well and asked for 75% sweetness and it's soooo incredibly sweet (like hurt your throat sweet) I could've honestly done 0% sweetness and it probably would've been delicious. I'm used to Taiwanese style milk teas from California so coming here I was a bit thrown off, but I can see maybe a lot of Nevadan locals preferring the sweetness. The boba wasn't thoroughly cooked either, but the woman who helped us at the front was very welcoming and sweet :) read more

Had a really nice experience here. The lady working on a Monday night was really nice. The place is super cute, especially with the wall decor that can be used as a great backdrop for pictures. This is my first time in Vova and already I can tell that I like this place. I'm a huge fan of anything boba, cartoon, and they had anime drawings the workers did??? Amazing! Quick take: Good drinks We ordered a Strawberry matcha slush. It wasn't too sweet because it was blended. Second drink was a Strawberry matcha milk tea. I enjoy sweet iced drinks so this drink was very delicious. It had just enough matcha flavor. Both regular size. This cafe is designed to look like a pop-up sketch. Black lines and while furniture and while walls makes it look like a very simple drawing. Fun to photograph. I recommend this spot if you are in Vegas. There are eateries nearby. That's how we ended up in Spring Valley. read more

I wish this boba spot was closer to my house instead of my friends house. I love the minimal, het fun hand drawn decor. It gives it a fun feeling. The boba is delicious, but more importantly their pastries are off the hook. The croissant waffles are just like the ones we had in Korea. Flaky, crispy and full of flavor. We'll definitely be stopping by next time we're on that side of town. read more

First impression upon entrance was WOW! It's definitely different from other cafes I've visited around town. It was quiet when I came in but it was also already around 7pm. Parking is very busy as the neighboring shops are often busy places in general so be aware that parking may not be an easy feat upon trekking to this location. The drinks we got were the iced milk tea with boba and hot pistachio latte. Both drinks were ordered with no customizations. Both were great with the only concern that both were overly sweet for my fiancé and I. However it wasn't too much of a big deal. We did wait a bit for our drinks even though we were the only customers in the entire shop during this visit. The concept is very unique and very picturesque but the drinks are very standard. Staff was nice and I'd come back here to give it another try. Definitely a place to visit as this is by far one of the more unique places I've come across in the city as far as cafes. read more

The 2D decor is what drew me here; pretty cool. The croffles were good - we tried the cookie butter and creme brulee. My friend got a drink, which I assume was good as well. We especially enjoyed the empty cafe, so we could sit and talk. The workers just let us be. Super chill place. read more

I came here on a Sunday right when they opened. They are still in the process of expanding their menu but I ordered a hot matcha latte and it was really good! It wasn't too sweet and it had a good flavor of matcha. They were playing K pop songs and they have a table with a bunch of board games. Service was good too, and they have free wifi. However, their seat is not very comfortable hence the 4 stars. read more

You gotta try this place out! Their boba is so good and chewy and fresh and the Hokkaido is my favorite! It tastes so delicious. The Hokkaido is fire we tried it last week. A week later, my friend got the brown sugar milk tea and I got a dirty Thai tea (looking forward to staying up tonight) When we got our drinks, and my friend tried it, he instantly was like "this the one" So if you want a safe drink that you know you will probably like, go for the brown sugar milk tea! read more

I've also contacted the restaurant and corporate multiple times to get this addressed and to receive a refund. They told me I will get the refund... they just "don't know when" -- which honestly feels about as reassuring as the hair situation. What really gets me is how places like this stay in business when you scroll through the reviews and see this isn't exactly a one-off issue. Cleanliness and basic customer service should be the bare minimum. I'm all for long hair--just not in my food. Do better.
