Considering everything going wrong this year, I didn't have high hopes for my haircut, but it might actually be the only thing that's working right in 2020. I have been following Kelly around for last 4-5 years. When she rented a station here a few months back, I started visiting this place. Her prices are very reasonable. Hair wash ( with treatment or conditioner massage), blow dry and straightening for $15 is a steal! My hair looks so sleek and shiny after seeing her. The only negative being that she can get a little distracted talking to the coworkers. My last visit the straightening iron touched my ear. No burn but still would prefer a perfect service. ***4.5 stars*** my good friend recommended this salon since she used to be a frequent customer while a resident of mountain view. she recommended a couple of the ladies, but said that her favourite was victoria, so i called and booked a haircut appt with victoria on a friday afternoon after work. although i was a few minutes late, victoria was ready to see me when i arrived, and immediately sat me down and asked what style i'd like. i had a photo of my previous successful haircut from another salon so it was easy to explain to her what i wanted and she had no problems understanding the style and length of the haircut i desired. we went to the shampoo station where she took her time shampooing and conditioning my hair, and that time actually felt really soothing and therapeutic after a stressful day at the office as she semi-massaged my scalp with lukewarm water. when she was done, she blotted my hair and clipped it up which worked well as it prevented water from getting into my ears or dripping down my neck and onto my clothing! we went back to her station where she grabbed several magazines for me, then went straight into the cut. although i appreciated the gesture, i mainly spent time catching up on emails and news on my phone, and despite looking down most of the time, she was able to keep my head straight and execute the cut the way without incident (i've had occasions when stylists kept asking me to look up or possibly cut crooked since i wasn't looking straight ahead!) every so often, she would comment on how shiny and soft my hair was, and how black it was. i'd told her i had coloured it several times about 10 years ago, but she could not tell as my hair did not appear damaged. then came the blow drying where she carefully styled my hair with a round brush, and once my hair was dry, she used a flat iron to further style my hair. although it wasn't necessary, as i don't think i'd had a flat iron used in my previous hair styling appts at other salons, it was a nice touch and gave my hair some extra body and shape. when she was done she held up a mirror in the rear so that i could see both front and back and the cut was pretty much spot on with the photo i'd shown her, slightly shorter, since i told her 3 inches instead of 2. i really appreciated that she took the time to pick the little hairs out of my sweater since the trimmed hair had stuck to my sweater during the appt (as a result of me holding out my arms to use my phone). note to self: do not wear a fuzzy sweater to a hair cut appt going forward! although she could not remove every hair, it was a really sweet gesture for her to attempt to pluck everything out even though she didn't need to. i went up to the counter to pay and although it was the agreed upon price of $30 for shampoo, cut & blow dry, they did not accept credit card! whoops! i just assumed that every business in this day and age accepted credit, or at least debit, but this was a cash or check only business. good thing i had just enough cash to cover the fee and leave her a small tip. i felt really bad as i wanted to leave her more since she did such a great job, but i didn't have anymore cash and didn't spot an atm nearby. she was very gracious and said "next time." yes, indeed, miss victoria, i think i will book an appt with you in a couple of months when i need my tresses trimmed again! the salon is conveniently located inside the mountain view shopping center in the "triangle" bounded by el camino real, highway 85 and highway 237, very close to downtown mountain view. car and foot traffic is quite heavy here, especially during rush hour, and parking is a bit tight, but be patient, and you will find a parking space! read more

I came here to get my hair dyed from blonde to grey and they charged me $140 for it. The first day, after 6 hours it came out mint green. I shouldn't have come back after that, but I really wanted them to fix it. The second day I came back, they said it would take an hour but it ended up taking 4. I spent my whole weekend in this salon to end up with extremely burt and damaged hair that wasn't grey (more purple/blue) and a lot of my hair FELL OUT!!! They also hair dried my hair and curled it even though I communicated I did not want this treatment bc it is damaging to my hair. Pretty sure it was curled so I wouldn't be able to notice the length difference on the top. This is a professional salon, if they felt they could not do the job I would've preferred they just said so. Instead, I am left with a whole layer of top hair that is 5 inches shorter than the rest of my hair and all of it is broken hair. I am furious with the results. I went in for the first time for a simple haircut, and during the cut, Tex suggested that highlights would look good in my hair. I'd thought about it many times before but never committed so when he asked if I wanted it then and there, I agreed and it was the best spontaneous decision! The dye was bleach free (which was always one of my hesitations about colouring) and came out looking amazing and very natural. I don't recommend this place for men's haircut. My stylist didn't pay attention to my description or did not understand it and didn't even bother to ask questions. In my experience stylists explain every step of the way as they are doing it and ask whether it's okay with you, but this guy he just went with his assumptions. Tex does an amazing job! The other two young ladies who cut hair and do pedicures are the sweetest, and nicest ladies. Tex dyes my thick Mexican hair, thins and cuts it perfect. The ladies take care of my daughter's "bob" haircut with bangs and provide pedicures for me on special days I want to spoil myself. I went to this salon last month and I fell in love with it! Hesitant at first, however the customer service definitely proved me wrong. Initially I called to get a haircut but they were fully booked. As soon as they had one spot available, they called me within 10 minutes to let me know. I was welcomed with open arms. I believe my lady that did my hair is named Karen. She offered me a complimentary deep conditioning before my haircut since my hair was so damaged and brittle. Be careful about pricing. The owner told me on the phone the hair color is $70-85 depends on the length. I had only hair color service, but he charged $120, so I asked. He mentioned "the special chemical is used for variation of color". However, by the time I pay, my hair became very dry, so he put hair iron (became more dry and damaged!!). Special?? I have to go to another salon to fix since my hair is extremely damaged by that chemical. $120 +tip became totally waste!! read more
