My second son was timid at first but the staff was great and very attentive to quickly interesting him in getting a haircut. I called ahead the day before to bring my dad and uncle in for a shave. The guy that walked in just before us was upset because he had to wait and ended up walking out. That's why you make an appointment!! Anyway, the service was great. Getting a shave is definitely a treat. Only complaint was that my dad and uncle got their eyebrows trimmed with the same service we all payed for and I didn't. We all tipped the guys well and the barbers were kind enough to give us a free bottle of Vs Tonic aftershave. I would definitely come back. read more

Have liked the concept of V Barbershop since it opened and generally have had good experience. Will not be returning after patiently waiting over an hour for a haircut only to find that I was skipped on the hand written waiting list. Wow, my son Jake has never had a decent haircut in his life. He has coarse, unruly hair and you can usually see every scissor mark (looks choppy). That was not the case this time. Nice place. Came here because it's apparently one of the few barber shops out here willing to take appointments over the phone. I'd called another place, and they told me that I had to schedule through an app... which gave me an earliest appointment time of 10:00am - four days later. Thanks, no thanks. At V's, I got the basic haircut, which is apparently a full-service haircut. Hot towels, straight razor touch up, the works. Good haircut, fantastic price (about half of what I was expecting, being used to Los Angeles prices), and convenient. Complementary soda, with beer available for purchase, and a bar to sit and drink at, for those who don't care to stare at their phones or magazine covers while waiting. Didn't ask how much the beer costs. Will be back. read more

First time I've ever visited a barbershop but I had the day off on Halloween and figured they'd be slow and to give it a go. I was greeted right away and set up with Claude to have a buzz, beard clean up, and straight razor neck shave. Claude did a fantastic job and was a friendly guy. I'm just one of those guys who is a bit picky about haircuts. As we were in the Mesa area for a few months I figured I better find somebody who knew something about cutting hair and doing a decent job. I read a few reviews about Ian at V's and seeing that my last barber was from another V's location I decided to give him a try. I was not disappointed. Ian is very thorough and experienced. His cut rivaled my last barber who cut my hair for over ten years. When I said just 1/4" off that's what I received. A day later his cut still looked excellent, no stray hairs pointing skyward. If you have hair worth spending $21 on Ian is your guy. I will be back every few weeks while we are here. Glad to see the previous Yelp reviews regarding Ian were dead on! read more

Omar does an excellent job of cutting hair I was more than happy with my hair when he cut it but this kid who did it my second time to that establishment did a HORRIBLE job. I'm about to start a new job tomorrow and my hair looks awful. He has zero ability to blend a very basic fade. I need to have someone touch it up because it is embarrassing how bad it looks. read more

Probably the worst customer service I have had... I have been going to V's for some time now and have enjoyed getting cut by Victor even though they charge more then previous barbershops I have visited. I decided to take my son in to get a cut on a slow Wednesday morning. Victor wasn't working so I thought I could try someone new for my son. There were 4 barbers working but only 2 cutting at the time I showed up. I have been going to barbershops for the last 30 years so I understand how they work. They said it was at least a 2 hour wait. (No customers were in the shop waiting) confused I asked why such a long wait with no one waiting... they said that they had appointments that hadn't shown up yet. I simply said I will go somewhere else then (I'm not going to wait if there isn't anyone in front of me at the shop) and they said ok. I felt like my business was no longer wanted and that a "maybe" they might show up is better to them then someone in front of you asking to spend money. If Victor didn't work here I probably wouldn't ever go back. read more

Thought I'd try out V's this week. My haircut was just as I asked for and I got so much more. As it turns out, I had a medical emergency upon checkout that put my life in danger. I applaud Kimberly and all of her staff for knowing what to do to keep me alive until paramedics arrived. I've been coming to V's for about a year now consistently getting my hair cut by Eddie. Eddie is great and gives me a solid haircut every time. However, his time management is hit and miss. I schedule an appointment to ensure that I have time to get a cut and continue with my day, but there are times when Eddie falls behind. Don't get me wrong, waiting a bit doesn't break my schedule, but when my appointment is set for 10, and he starts another client at 10:30 I get pretty annoyed. When I noticed Eddie took another client, I asked to have my hair cut by the next available barber. I get seated right away with Victor. In about half the time Eddie take to cut my hair, Victor managed to mangle what should have been a simple fade. When I got home and washed out the half liter of product he put in my hair, it looked like a Parkinson's patient on meth cut my hair. It's choppy in the back, entirely uneven in the front, and the fade cuts into the top of my hair. Legitimately one of the worst cuts I've ever gotten, I may as well have YouTubed a video on how to cut it myself. Needless to say, I have zero intention of returning. read more

Wow just wow went in to see my sons barber and unfortunately he "no longer works with us" this place seriously does not hold on to quality barbers. Even after asking where he possibly went they supposedly couldn't tell me for some strange reason management is horrible on top of that they're raising there prices!!!???? Great!!!?? I loved coming here because I loved the way my sons barber took his time and payed more than enough attention to his haircut I tried an elderly man and he rushed right through it I highly suggest they start taking care of they're quality barbers. read more

As a woman, walking into a barbershop can be an intimidating or an uncomfortable situation. You never know what to expect and you usually tend to be treated as if you are in the wrong place. V's Barbershop is so far from the norm and unlike any other barbershop I have ever been to. I have been to countless different barbershops trying to find the right barber, the right environment and atmosphere. The first time I decided to go to V's Barbershop, even before I had entered the shop, I was greeted outside by a member of their staff and instantly felt at ease. Walking into their shop, I was greeted by all of the staff and even the owner, which at the time I was completely unaware. I had a scheduled appointment and arrived early to get a feel of the shop. The owner himself, talked to me for 15 minutes and was so kind and friendly, I was highly impressed by the shop even prior to receiving my cut. At the end of our conversation, he introduced himself as the owner of the establishment and that says something about what type of business V's Barbershop is and what matters to them. They are clientele first and incredibly professional while still making you feel comfortable and relaxed. I received a cut from Ian and I will continue to be a loyal client. I do not even know where to begin to express the type of treatment and service I received. Ian did not rush through any portion of my appointment. He listened and asked questions to be sure to understand what it was I was wanting and asking for. He was so kind and sociable that I felt an immediate trust in his hands. He took the time to tell me what he was doing and working on so that I felt comfortable because I relayed how I have had terrible experiences and was anxious after taking the time to grow out the last terrible cut, I had the unfortunate pleasure of obtaining. Ian has a charismatic way where he is able to inform you of what he is doing without coming off as rude or sounding arrogant. I put my faith in him and I am so glad that I did. I have since been back for another cut and again left with the exact cut I wanted. If you are hesitant on trying a new barber or have ever had a terrible cut and are looking for someone who you can go back to and who will be consistent and deliver, I highly recommend Ian. I do not recommend or refer anyone lightly. I could not be happier with the service I have received. All you need is one time at the shop and you will already be scheduling your next appointment to return. All around, astounding service and business. read more
