This place changed our I view barbershops. I was a Supercuts kid, which means I lived a basic haircut lifestyle. I was content, but coming out to Arizona I needed a new place. A friend recommended V's and I tried it out. I liked making my appointment online, since I love not waiting and I love even more avoiding human contact setting up an appointment. So, online appointments are a plus. I showed up and the wait was minimal. I've been here probably around 12-15 times and I've always left satisfied. The precision and care they take with each haircut is something I've never experienced. They always do a good job. And some of the dudes end each session with a back massage thing. They have this electric massager and they roll it on your shoulders. I gotta try to act like it's not the greatest thing ever, which it is, to keep my cool. In short, V's Barbershop is a gem. I was s good customer for about 1 year until they made up s story about my reservation was not made I showed them in my phone and it was like I never excised shame on you guys after 1 year plus bring a good customer I realize things happen. Just recently moved to Gilbert and I have been to V's in Tucson before and was excited to see this one was right by my house. I received the laziest attempt at a haircut I've ever gotten and it turned out bad. Not saying all the barbers there are bad but Esli did not do it for me. Came across extremely rude as well, I don't really care too much about that as long as I get a good haircut I can get past that but the whole experience was terrible. read more

I stopped by for a trim up Saturday the 29th, since I have never been to this location, I selected any barber, when I arrived my barber barley spoke any English, didn't look at my reference photo for more than 3 seconds and he then proceeded to do what he wanted, I couldn't see at the time as he couldn't understand when I asked him if he could turn the chair to face the mirror and I tried to tell him that it was too short but I don't believe he could understand. Love this shop. I have been coming here for about a year now, and have had different cuts by many different barbers. They have all been great, but I recently had an awesome cut from Eddie. I've been going to this V's regularly for over a year, and I've always been very happy with the service and atmosphere. For me, going to a barbershop where you can get to know the barbers, get great service, have a nice conversation, and look and smell good by the end of the visit is important aspect of being a man. It's so important I've begun bringing my 12-year-old son here so he can experience this too. Omar is a great barber, and he's always done a great job cutting my and my son's hair. He's very professional, but he isn't afraid of having fun discussion with you or the other barbers in the shop. While Omar is the only barber I and my son have cut our hair here, I've interacted with other barbers when we discussed good local food spots, photography, sports, and family while getting my hair cut. Even Omar's eldest son works at the shop as cashier, greeter, and hair-sweeper-upper - he's a great, hard-working young man with a bright future. Everyone at V's has been really great to talk to and interact with. I would highly recommend anyone try this shop if you're looking for a great haircut in a comfortable, welcoming atmosphere. read more

What a joke of a Barbershop!! I walked in to get a cut today Friday and was told by the kid at the booth that they could not take me unless I had an appointment.. I said there's 2 barbers sitting down not working.. he then replied they are waiting for their appointments. So the. I asked I can wait for a few minutes or something .. he said the next time they can take a walk-in was tomorrow afternoon. In what business is it ok to turn away a customer and refuse money???!! I was like are you serious ? So the two barbers sitting down not working can't just give me a quick cut? So I left and I will never ever cone back to this place. So if you need a quick cut Don't go to this place... bad business practice.. this is what's wrong with America, no use of common sense!! read more

I've been bringing my boys here for the past 5yrs! We've only ever had one issue which the owner addressed and fixed immediately and it did not discourage us from coming back. My boys see Eddie he is always great with them and the look forward to seeing him biweekly! I recommend this place to everyone! read more

UPDATE: The Owner actually reached out and addressed this issue w/ his staff, so thought that was a nice touch and have increased the rating to reflect that. Avoid this place fellas, have the hours posted till 5pm on Sat. Stopped by at 4:27 just looking for a a quick head shave (as the last time they did my beard, they butchered the line, so do that on my own now). 4 barbers in there sweeping up the floor and just looking to get out and close up early, locked the doors and said come back another time. (Guessing the owner wasnt there and wouldn't be amused to know he had lazy staff looking to cut out early. Bigger shame is I only had $100's on me and always tip 50%, but atts' what karma will get the lazy ones, lol) read more

This is the first time I've gone to this barbershop and probably my last time ! This guy had a personality of a brick! I sat down in the chair and I thought he was gonna start cutting my hair he didn't and he didn't even ask me what I wanted or what type of style I've gone to great clips before and they they go really fast but this was even a fast haircut, I didn't really care for the haircut but I just left the first thing my kids told me when I got home is dad who gave you the half ass haircut!! I went to V's Barbershop to get a haircut and a shave because I was shaggy and looking pretty haggard. I ended up getting the "Whole Deal" (cut, shave, facial and shoeshine [except I was wearing sneakers so I didn't get my shoes shined]). The whole place had a very inviting atmosphere and made me feel comfortable from the start. Miguel was my barber and, at the risk of sounding cliche, he's the real deal! He was very personable, professional and knowledgeable. The hot towels and facial mask were very relaxing and, at the risk of sounding cliche, I walked out of there feeling like a million bucks!!! I would highly recommend a trip to V's Barbershop. I walked in with high expectations, and they exceeded those expectations in every way. I've been trying to find a good barber near my house in Gilbert and I heard about them from sports radio so I decided to check them out. I had a really good first experience there but then I came back for a second... I received one of the worst hair cuts of my life. I mean BUZZ cuts of my life. One thing a barber should know how to do, and do well, is fade with clippers. I went in and asked for a trim on a fairly simple cut and left looking like I belonged in the military. The only reason I'm giving a 2 star is because the shoe shine I received turned out great, along with the first hair cut. But, I won't be going back and I'll be going to another barber this afternoon to finish off the rest of the buzz cut from yesterday. My advice to them, if you are unsure what is wanted, ASK again. Hands down - This is the best barbershop around. When I walked for the first time I saw a barber that I had met at another V's location a few years ago. His name is Ian. I can recommend him without reservation. Ian is one of the best barbers that has ever cut my hair. For years and years I was getting my haircut every 2 weeks....I know a good cut. Last time I was there I had a chance to chat with one of the owners. Absolutely awesome family business. It's clear everyone in the shop truly cares about their customer's experience. Been a Floyd's barber shop customer for a couple years and was not dissatisfied with the service I had there. I walked by V's one night on my way to the cigar bar. Thought I would try out the new place in Gilbert and I'm very happy I did. The shop is very clean and the staff is exceptional and very professional, the entire staff made me feel like a valued customer on my first visit. I had the good fortune of having Ian as my barber and I can honestly say I've never had a better haircut, the attention to detail and obvious pride he takes in his craft won my business and I will not be getting my haircut anywhere else going forward. Disappointing experience here. After waiting a half hour to get my 11 year olds hair cut, the barber we got was unpleasant to say the least. The only words he spoke after starting the haircut was to another barber how he couldn't wait to get out of there. Have been growing my beard for 6 months. I was able to schedule my appointment within 20 minutes of my phone call. I was welcomed when I went into the store and saw Maria. She cut my beard exactly how I requested leaving the length. She had the hands of an artist and was extremely careful in how she was trimming and cleaning up my beard. I live in California and visit Gilbert Arizona quite frequently. Needless to say V's Barbershop and Maria will be the only ones that trim my beard. read more

You know the saying "First impressions are everything"? Well, I walked into V's today for a haircut. The place has a very cool look inside with a very retro barbershop vibe. They have a small "bar", and they serve drinks and some beer. When I first walked in, there was nobody at the register and people just looked at me without saying anything. So as I stood there for about 30 seconds not knowing what to do, a young guy finally walked up to the register with some towels and asked if I was there for a cut. I told him yes, he asked for my name, and then he told me that Joe was ready for me as he pointed to the end of the room where I spotted a guy leaning up against a small retaining wall as if he was bored. I was kind of excited to try this place out and see what they had in store for me. As I walked up to Joe, he was putting on his "coat", and I was the one who walked up with a smile, introduced myself, and sat down. After Joe put the cape on me, he asked what I wanted. I told him exactly what I wanted, and he started to cut. Through out the entire haircut, Joe didn't say one word to me. When I first arrived, there were 2 other chairs next to me with guys getting their hair cut, and they seem to be about halfway done. Well, as I sat there getting my haircut, I could hear the other 2 barbers carrying on conversations with their clients, but not one word from Joe. He continued to cut my hair until he finally finished. He handed me the mirror without saying anything, I checked out the front, and then I had to ask him to spin me around so I could check out the back . Joe actually did an excellent job on my cut, and I was very satisfied with it, but that was about it. I thanked him for the cut, walked up to the register to pay, and then I mentioned to the young guy that "Joe doesn't talk much", which he responded with "Nope, he's a quiet one". In my opinion, if you're a barber and can't even carry a simple conversation with your client, you should probably look for a different type of job. By the way, he had me in and out in less than 30 minutes, while the other two guys were still chatting and getting their haircuts. Well, remember what I said at the beginning of my review? "First impressions are everything", and I wasn't impressed. $23 for a simple cut that doesn't even include a wash. I guess I'll continue to go to my regular place where I pay $20 which includes a wash AND the tip. I don't mind paying good money for good service, but this was far from good service. The only reason I gave 2 stars is because I was happy with the cut, but that's it. read more

This place came up in my Yelp search close by barber shop. I was surprised at layout of barbershop with bar up front and beer in fridge, vintage barber chairs and obviously games playing on all TVs. They got us in quick for walk ins and Eddie was awesome he had plenty to discuss and make me feel comfortable. He did a great job and Maria did I good job on my sons hair.
