However, I decided to keep an open mind since I've been searching for a reliable salon in the area and haven't found one that truly stands out yet. I arrived about 30 minutes after opening, and the salon was already packed, which I took as a good sign. Fortunately, my wait time was only around 15 minutes. The station where I was seated was clean, and all of the tools appeared well-maintained and hygienic, which immediately made me feel comfortable. The prices were also very reasonable for the services offered. My only suggestion would be to organize or store some of the product boxes out of sight, as it would give the salon a more polished and inviting appearance overall. My bestie made reservations for a double pedi, and it was so simple. We had a great girls self care day. Today I came in for a gel pedicure and manicure. My did my pedicure, and unfortunately I didn't catch the name of the woman who did my manicure. Overall, it was a pretty good experience. My nails look clean, well-shaped, and neat. They did a great job cleaning up my cuticles and calluses, which I really appreciated. The only downside was the cleanliness of the salon--it was a bit dusty and could use more frequent sweeping and general upkeep. I gave this place another try while my regular nail tech is out of town, and it was a complete waste of $67. I purposely came knowing that I wasn't going to get the same result as usual and even with that in mind this was a disaster. The pedicure was rushed and poorly done from start to finish. My nails were cut with a cuticle nipper, cuticle care was minimal, and the shaping was uneven even after requesting square nails. The polish application was sloppy and inconsistent. At checkout, I paid exactly the service amount and there was an unprofessional comment made across the room. If you're charging $67, the work should at least reflect that price. To top it off, the polish on my pinkie toe peeled shortly after I got home. For $67, this is unacceptable. Save your money and go somewhere that actually values quality work and professionalism because this place clearly doesn't. read more

If I could give negative stars I would! Just came in about five minutes ago, asking if they accepted Apple Pay or tap to pay to pay for a manicure and pedicure. The lady says sure yes. Then proceeds to help her next client and in the process talk bad about me for asking if they accepted Apple Pay. The lady also had the audacity to talk rudely in description about myself with her client. Over hearing this just now, I left, though they tried convincing me to stay. I asked the lady three times for a price she kept saying, give me one second but never told me until I was already on the topcoat and the man came up and was talking to her in their native language. I had been coming here for years. Please ask for itemization on your bill. Trust they charge for everything. John had been doing my pedicures for a long time because he knows what I like. The last straw for me was I took my grand daughter to get a pedicure and they charged me the $45 package when I asked for the regular one which is $30 and they didn't do the $45 service. The lady kept asking about gel and I told her no 3x's. The upsell and pressure is annoying. Even John was trying to get me to spend more money on my pedicures. Needless to say they lost a long time customer who usually takes daughter and granddaughter. My usual salon double booked and didn't account for time for my pedicure so I had a quickly find somewhere to get a last minute pedicure before my trip. I pass by here often so I decided to look it up and try it out. They do take walk-ins and I was able to be taken in immediately on a Saturday morning. It is $52 for an OPI pedicure treatment which includes callus treatment, cooling gel, exfoliate, mask, and a 10 minute lotion massage on top of the pedicure with gel polish ($40 with regular polish). I've never had a pedicure massage this thorough and with so many layers so it was a wonderful experience indeed. My usual salon really only does a quick exfoliation and the polish for about the same price so I am getting way more out of it here. Be aware that it is cash only here but they do have an ATM on site. The whole process took about an hour just for my feet so it was a great experience for the price. read more

The quality of their gex x is not worth the price, Ive gotten gel x at other places before so I know what they are supposed to look like. These ones are too thick and they CURED THE GLUE ON MY SKIN which is really dangerous. Each nail as they cured hurt and I let them know but they didn't care. On top of the horrible gel x, the pedicure was not good either. I had gel dried on my skin on my feet, which is also really dangerous because of contact dermatitis. For their basic pedicure with gel, and a simple gel x set I paid $155.. Broken down it was $90 for a simple gel x set. Not worth it. Go somewhere else. read more

You'll get fungus! I have been going to my nail tech for 10 years at a different location but due to her health--she was unable to service my appointment that day. I decided to go to Diamond Nail Lounge as I had driven by when going to UPS many times. The chairs, tools, and equipment looked sketchy (not sanitary)-- the pedi tech left a customer and came right to me which made me wonder if she'd even changed the tools. I decided to take a risk and get a mani pedi since I had an event that night and was out of time. Two and a half weeks later: FUNGUS!!! Side note: I thought I saw the pedi tech use a nail clipper that had skin on it--between the clasps. I didn't want to be rude and thought maybe I was seeing things. I was not wrong. My otherwise healthy feet are now scaling, itchy, tingling and have fungus. I have never in the last 10 years have had this problem with my nail tech. I have to go to the doctor now. I stopped coming here because the quality of work declined. This was not due to any of the ladies--every time I've had my nails done by them, they've been kind, patient, and detail-oriented. The issue was with the owner (the man at the front desk). I had a full set done by him, and within a week, my nails began breaking. From the start, it felt rushed--he was doing my nails while also helping customers at the front desk. I understand he has other responsibilities, but I would have much preferred the focused attention I've always received from the ladies. Instead, it felt like he just wanted to finish quickly and move on. When my nails broke, I came back several times for fixes since they were so new. Each visit was on a different day, and I was charged different amounts--sometimes up to $10 per nail. At that point, the cost and inconvenience outweighed the service. What made my final decision to stop coming here was the lack of accountability. The owner never acknowledged that the poor quality was the reason I kept returning, which was both frustrating and disappointing. Again, I want to emphasize that the ladies here have always done great work--I never had these issues with them. But overall, the experience with the owner was frustrating, expensive, and exhausting. I always end up waiting 20 to 30 minutes past my scheduled time. If a technician has an appointment, then they should not take a walk in if they won't be done in time by their appointment. I walked in to get my nails done and I told VIHN the owner of DIAMOND NAIL LOUNGE WEST COVINA I wanted my design with no rhinestones. I explained that I have a 1 year old that could swallow the rhinestones and it could be dangerous. When I was getting my nails done the woman who was doing my toes asked the owner VIHN "No design?" VIHN responded something in Vietnamese and they both laughed and looked at me. Something immediately made me sink and feel off so I started google translating things like "too expensive", "cheap", until finally I came across "poor" or "nghèo". He called me poor and laughed at me for caring about my baby's safety. He mocked me after being a customer of over 10 years. He's watched me grow and literally saw me get married and had a baby. I went in and showed an inspo pic, was quoted $75 for length and acrylic no design. I agreed and asked for a soak off for my previous set. She started and mid soak off got frustrated and just ripped my nails off. She broke my nail and it started bleeding. She glued on the tips crooked and i asked her to fix and she refused saying it was my fingers. Then put a color acrylic nothing like my inspo and i asked her to change it. She got angry at me and was speaking in her language and I couldn't understand. She then told me $105 halfway through application. CRAZY!! $30 increase for not liking her half ass work?! I obviously was disturbed and asked her why so much more when she didn't even follow through with the soak off and injured my nails beds. She got angry and I just grabbed the nail clipper and cut them off. They didn't let me leave without paying at least $35, I yelled and threw $10 and left. Horrible horrible experience and service. I usually enjoy coming here because of their huge selection of pedicure upgrades. Gel pedicure came out nice but hours after I got home my foot started hurting so bad. Finally, I went to urgent care because the swelling got so bad on my big toe. Turns out I had a huge bacterial infection caused by dirty tools. I had massive infection where I had to take antibiotics twice a day for seven days, with the chance of losing my big to nail. Fortunately, my toe nail was spared. This caused me to miss work, and really impeded my wellbeing. Please do your due diligence and clean your tools. Your establishment costed me nearly a month of pain and agony not to mention additional cost for my medical expenses. read more

I have been coming here for years. It's been over a year now that I feel so disappointed with this place. Lately, I have been treated really badly. Every time feels worse and worse. Then I asked for Heather for my pedicure and they told me she was working on someone and asked if I wanted to wait. I said yes, I was seated and told to pick a color. All was good. I sat patiently waiting hopeful that someone would start on my hands. Just so I'm clear, I would've waited longer for Heather, she's worth it. But what bothered me is that they left me sitting for 40 min without even checking on me, giving me an update or anything. A guy that has done my manicures before came by me and said hi. He looked around confused and you can tell he asked those around him who was going to help me. They said something and then all laughed. I never assume anything is about me (they weren't speaking in English) I figured they were laughing at something else. I saw other people walk in and get helped right away. I finally realized I had been waiting 40 minutes and just got up, got my things and proceeded to leave. I didn't argue or talk to anyone ugly, I just wasn't willing to sit there ignored any longer. Finally the manager comes to me (as I was walking out) and says "we can help you right now". At this point I felt humiliated. I just said "no it's ok, I'll come back another day" and left. I'm so sad because I really do like their work here. Everyone there does great work (my favorite ladies are Lynn and Heather) but this wasn't the first time I've felt like they've treated me badly. This was just the last straw for me. We literally have a nail place on every corner around the area. There are a lot of options and yet I have been choosing the same place over and over regardless of the treatment. Not anymore. I went to a place closer to my house and they did an excellent job. I will never go back to Diamond Nails. It's disappointing but it's ok. I'm happy with the work I got done elsewhere and I'm happy to take my business where they appreciate it. read more
