This is one of our favorite restaurants for Chinese food in the area. I placed an order for calamari, orange beef, shredded pork and garlic sauce, and chicken teriyaki. I did not remember that you needed to order rice and they did not ask if we wanted rice. We would've liked rice. I was told that they would call with the order was ready for pick up. We actually picked it up on the way home before I receive the phone call. And even though I literally live two minutes away the food was cold when we got it. The orange beef is my favorite; however it was soggy and not what it usually is. It did not taste the same at all. The calamari was very good and they put a hole in the lid of the container to help it not steam and get soggy. The teriyaki chicken had so many onions and I don't even remember it having onions. Ordered on a Tuesday night for dinner online. The online order system gave me an estimate of 40 min for pick up. Showed up after 40 min and the food was already ready. I think this wait is acceptable because it gives me time to put rice in the rice cooker. They packaged the food nicely in Tupperware. The restaurant looked clean and service was ok for pick up. Pricing was good and portion sizes are good. It was $86 for 6 dishes, which I think is good for today's economy. Moving on to the more picky component and elaborating on each dish: 1. Salt and pepper shrimp: This was alright. Salt and pepper taste was there. I like that there's no shell to fuss over and get your hands dirty. It is a little salty, but if you eat it with some rice the salt level is decent. I would buy this again. 2. Mapo Tofu: This is marked as spicy on their menu. It is not spicy at all. Not the best mapo tofu I've had, severely lacks flavor and is bland. I wouldn't order this again. 3. Braised eggplant: This is good. Again, it is marked as spicy. It's not spicy at all. It's not amazing, but it satisfies the craving. I would buy again. 4. Shredded potato with chili: Again, it is marked as spicy. It is not spicy at all. This one is also a little salty, but if you eat it with rice it's fine. I've had better ones in the SGV and I feel like the spice is make or break for this dish. I wouldn't order this again. The texture is also not perfect, usually it should be snappy. 5. Orange chicken: It's marked spicy on the menu. It's not spicy at all. The breading to chicken ratio is actually good. I didn't like the flavoring. I wouldn't order again. 6. Pork with bamboo: I actually like this dish. I would order again. I have no complaints here. Overall, this place is decent so it gets 3 stars. Pleasantly surprised to find quality, authentic food in Eastvale! I grew up near Rowland Heights so I was a little skeptical, but the food here was great. My boyfriend and I ordered the string beans with beef and a shredded pork in garlic sauce, It is a mom and pop business, so if it gets busy, there may be a wait for the food but I think it's well worth it! This little out of the way spot is such a hidden gem. The food is authentic and always freshly cooked. My absolute favorite on the menu is the Scrambled Egg with Shrimp. Huge pieces of shrimp scrambled with seasoned eggs - DELICIOUS! I usually order to go but one day decided to dine in and with my lunch special, came egg drop soup, also delicious! I love this place. It seems like a small mom and pop restaurant and the food tastes authentic. If you're expecting big portions and regular stuff like chow mein and orange chicken just go to Panda Express or an Americanized Chinese restaurant. This place is for REAL Chinese food. I'm glad there's a spot like this in Eastvale instead of just your regular Wingstop, Chipotle, etc. The staff have always been very nice and welcoming whenever I'm here and they don't seem to have that much staff so be patient with them. It's a small restaurant so I usually order to go. It does get crowded during dinner hours so expect to wait for seating. Hostess is friendly and professional. You can usually see two older Chinese gentleman cooking in the kitchen. Food is authentic and delicious! They do offer an extensive menu from traditional Chinese dishes to your typical Mongolian beef and orange chicken. My family and I have tried multiple dishes and none has disappointed. Great neighborhood restaurant with solid food offerings. I love Asian cuisine, in particular Chinese inspired dishes. I found W Cafe on Yelp and was eager to give it a try. I found the flavor profiles to be on point with what I expect. Everything was delicious. It was also very cool to dine-in... Seems like most Asian places, especially mom-and-pop Chinese are not allowing dine-in. This was a welcome and pleasant surprise. My only concern is the skimping on the beef and shrimp in the rice and pan fried noodles. I understand those ingredients are pricey, but I was expecting more. I'd recommend and would be okay with raising the price a couple more bucks to add more shrimp and beef. I'd definitely come back again... This place is my family's go-to Chinese spot in chino. My parents are always regulars, and the server is always so nice to us. She already knows my parent's order: hot and sour soup, fish in black bean sauce, the shrimp in lobster sauce, rice and pan fried noodles. It's a pretty small place, but they are popular for take-out. I always see people picking up their orders when we dine in. To be honest, I really wanted to like this place. Our first time ordering was a success, but the second time left us with many questions. Was it a fluke? Did they have more orders than they could handle? Maybe. Both orders were for take out. I'd give our first experience a 4. It hit all the right notes. The sautéed shrimp with veggies was perfect - light and fresh. The 3 cup chicken had great flavor but too many small bones - what you'd expect from a 3 cup chicken dish. The eggplant with basil was saucy and delicious. The shredded pork with bamboo reminded me of my childhood meals with my parents. Everything was salty but in a good way. Our second experience was so different from the first. When I called to place the order I could tell they were swamped with orders. I waited while a woman went back and forth with the cook about orders. After tasting the food, I could tell that they rushed our order. We ordered the same sautéed shrimp but the broccoli was undercooked. The eggplant with basil was also undercooked and the sauce hadn't had time to marinate the eggplants. We ordered the shredded pork with bamboo again because we enjoyed that so much last time. This time it was the complete opposite - covered with salt and barely edible. The only good thing about this order was probably the salt and pepper fish. It was fresh and well cooked. We might order again when we feel adventurous. Who knows! This place is nothing to write home about. I was really expecting a great deal from looking at some of the reviews. Found they are Giving a discount if you write a Yelp review is almost like trying to buy a review. Let's start with service. Service was mediocre at best. Stood there a few minutes before even being acknowledged. Then I was sat at a filthy booth. It was at least 5 mins before our server came to get our drink order then 5 mins before we got them. Overall service like I mention was mediocre and slow. Cleanliness was nonexistent. The place needed a very good sweeping. There was old food and dirt under our table and on our seats. I would hate to think what this place will look like after it has been open a few months. Food was OK. I would put it on par with what you would get it at any of the fast food Chinese place. Nothing exceptional to write home about. Also sodas are served in cans. I hand the honey walnut shrimp. It had some funny aftertaste. This is the first time I can ever remember Ordering this dish and not finishing it. Not because I was full but because of the way it tasted. The wife ordered garlic chicken. She said it tasted fine. She did say the garlic chicken at the two Chinese restaurants we eat at in Riverside was far superior. Very unfortunate. When I walked in I didn't know what quote to expect when I walked in. Location is SMALL and it's kinda hectic. However, the food is out of this world!! I'll definitely be back. The saltiness was just right. Temperature was the way I like it- hot! Super fresh! We also had salt and pepper pork chop. It wasn't as crispy as we usually like it but still filled with flavor. Last night we ordered the same, and there was literally no chicken in the orange chicken... just flour and MAYBE chicken skin. We've been to this place before and it was pretty good, though it seems they have gone downhill as of recent. The portions for all of the meat was very miniscule for what we paid for. The orange chicken had way too much breading, very little amount of chicken and on top of that, you could see that there was basically half of the box missing, in BOTH of our orders. We ordered 2 boxes of orange chicken and it seems that they thought it would just be OK to split up one and put it into two boxes. Not acceptable. The beef and broccoli box also did not have much thought put into it. Ironically, we were given enough rice and noodle (since its cheap to produce) but everything else was scarce. Overall the food is good but you will not get what you pay for. The meals are overpriced, and it is also very hard to speak with the cashier on the phone. Used to be good not great restaurant, but it is the only OK Chinese nearby. I had not much choice but to frequent them. This will be the last time I ordered food from here though. Their SEAFOOD chow mein had shrimps and a couple pieces of cheap fish. The dishes taste so fishy. So sad I ordered two of those. Their Chong Qing chicken was boring and underwhelmed. They didn't even put a single Sichuan peppercorn in it (how sad). The Chow Fun was done by an amateur because I didn't taste or smell any Wok Hei.
