I've had three items here-- the extra spicy tofu soup, the special bossam, and the tonkatsu. The regular tofu soup seemed bland but the extra spicy was really good (and somehow, not too spicy). The tonkatsu was bigger than my head and could easy feed 2-3 people. Same with the bossam. Huge portion and the salad with spicy sauce was perfectly tangy and sweet. This spot has already been frequented a few times by my boyfriend and I since we really enjoy that they serve purple rice! Tucked in a food court, there's plenty of seating and you order at the counter, and they bring out all of your food on a cart. We always get a medium beef tofu soup, galbi, and recently their bossam. The food is hearty and the soup is HOT, but it's pretty tasty. Galbi is a bit inconsistent, sometimes it's tender and has char marks, and other times it's chewy, but the flavor is nice. Their bossam is good, but comes out lukewarm and a bit underwhelming. Their salad though is super delicious, whatever vinagrette they use I wish I could have on hand all the time! Two tofu combos with their most expensive options rang out to around $75 with no drinks, which is definitely on the pricier side. We had leftovers, but this isn't a regular meal that you can go out for often. I'll continue to keep this spot close for when I'm craving tofu soup and purple rice nearby. read more

There seems to be inconsistency in the flavor of dishes, last time we ate at the food court and the soup had more flavor but it was salty, this time it was spicier with less flavor. Would be better if they double checked the orders before they go out, there's room for improvement and hopefully they do, this was our 4th time eating here since we just moved to the city and would hate to cross it out of my list. read more

Lunch with Mrs. Yelper today was quite good! I got Wang's Pork Cutlet at $16. It was like a Freddie Flintstone size, actually so big in hangs over the sides of the plate! My kind of meal. SUPER crunchy. Not much flavor without the gravy that comes with it. Mrs. Yelper got a Bulgogi combo $25. The Belgogi was delicious. The soup was so hot she could not get through half of it during a long lunch time. Dubu should offer it at a more accessible temperature during lunch. The restaurant is located inside a food hall next to 99 Ranch, so there are plenty of other options if you want to grab dessert afterward. I got the combo with the dubu bossam & tofu soup (got mine with oysters). I wanted to like this I really did but both dishes were so salty we finished the rice (I normally barely touch the rice). I suppose another reason I was a bit disappointed was that I prefer the classic bossam so the dubu salad was not really to my liking. Service was fine, the guy brought it over to us and then we put the dishes away ourselves. The price was a bit high but the bossam had opened of meat and was shareable. Maybe they just went a little overboard with the salt that day so will give them another chance and see if it improves. They have a lot of other dishes im curious to try. read more

We're so happy to have found this Korean tofu house located inside the Tawa Market Hall. This is closer to us than driving to Convoy when we're craving tofu stew. We arrived when they first open so it wasn't crowded. Everything was clean, service was great. For lunch I ordered their new menu item, Bibimbap which consisted of beef bulgogi, mixed veggies and fried egg. The meal also came with radish soup and three types of banchan (kimchi, sprouts & cucumbers). The Bibimbap was served in a stainless steel bowl instead of the black, stone pot. I was looking forward to having crunchy rice but nonetheless it was still yummy. My son had the mushroom tofu stew and hubby had seafood tofu stew. We finally visited Dubu over the weekend after I kept seeing ads on IG lol. I was able to order as soon as I walked in. I ordered two galbi and tofu soup combos. One as vegan and the other mushroom soup base, both non-spicy. I really liked the vegan one and would probably order that again. The mushroom one has a flavor I can't describe. The galbi was okay in my opinion. A little on the tough side but good flavor. My husband liked it though. The rice was pretty standard. The banchan was too fishy for me. I dunno I couldn't really eat it. But I know that it's common for it to taste like that at other restaurants I've been to. The service was quick and friendly. Decided to try Dubu, I ordered the wang's pork cutlet and beef tofu soup. The pork cutlet was large, thin, and very crispy- it came with their sweet sauce but it didn't have much flavor besides that and flavor fatigue can set on pretty fast. The beef tofu soup was also pretty good, but to me, most of the Korean soups are a bit salty so this is on par with that flavor thought process with a bit of beef flavor. This is inside the food court across from 99 Ranch Market, and honestly you would be forgiven if you missed it because it's in the back with no other restaurants directly surrounding it. But you absolutely should *not* miss out on this if you're in the area and hungry. The prices are a little high, but it's a good value for the food court. The other restaurants feel overpriced regardless of what you get, even though some of it is quite good, but this feels pretty close to what you pay. The soup is where it's at, that is where you're going to get the best of this place. I haven't had any of the soups I didn't like yet. The chicken katsu with cheese was good, although the chicken was a bit on the dry end, you definitely want something to dip it in. The tteokbokki is incredible, although I wish the bulgogi tteokbokki had some more bulgogi in it. For the cost, I was a bit underwhelmed, but the flavors were on point. After dropping off my Mom at her house last weekend, I wanted to get some Nobibi ice cream at Eastvale. Both my daughters were with me so it was a perfect outing for a sweet treat. While we were at The Cravings in Eastvale eating our ice cream, I noticed Dubu Tofu House was open for business. Yay! They just opened one week prior to our visit. We had already ate, but thought I offer my patronage and support. I ordered 1 seafood tofu soup with spicy teriyaki chicken combo, 1 Wang's pork cutlet, and 1 jap-chae aka glass noodle. I was surprised the combo came with a small order of basic banchan variety... cucumbers, kimchi, and bean sprouts. I found it funny that the container had 4 storage spots and only 3 were filled... hope one day they fill the last spot with seaweed or fish cake LOL. Overall portions were huge. I've eaten the jap-chae and teriyaki chicken and they were very delicious. However, I felt there was too much oil towards the end of the jap-chae... of course, it was heated up so maybe the oil needed to come out LOL. I can't wait to dive into the tofu soup and purple rice. Banchan was okay... I've eaten better. Staff was friendly and helpful. Service was very good. The lady walked our completed order over to us where we were sitting. Thank you miss!
