This by far is now in my top 3 KBBQ places for a few reasons: 1. Location is nice and chic. It's adjacent to a golf course and views are nice 2. Someone actually cooks for you which is rare nowadays in most KBBQ. And I love that it's not an AYCE which means that they have better quality of meat. 3. The STAR of the table - the quality of their meat. I really see that it's high quality beef. The short rib had good marbling and tender and well marinated. The beef tongue was tender and the brisket was so good. 4. Great amount and variety of banchan that you usually don't get in most KBBQ. They even had fine anchovies which was a good addition. 5. The side of steamed egg was so delicious plus the kimchi stew. 6. Lastly, I love the fact that they actually use real charcoal to grill the meat!! HIGHLY RECOMMEND this place if you haven't tried it. Coming from a weekly patron of W (with my family and our dog) based on our visit yesterday: - Serving sizes dramatically decreased when we went (to the extent it was visible). We usually cannot finish or barely finish if we order cold noodles. Yesterday, we ate cold noodles and still finished an extra order of brisket. - Even the banchan has decreased. I almost wonder if it's because it's a weekday, but the pricing is still exactly the same as on the weekends. - When I asked if our server could double-check the order, I was told there was definitely no mistake because they have a set weight for the meat. I informed them that we were regulars (much so that we knew there were new servers), but was told the order was correct. My dad even asked if they decreased their "set weight" and didn't get a response. If you tell us there's a set weight but don't want to tell us what it is, I'm not sure why you would tell us to begin with. Also, it seems super deceptive that W refuses to disclose the weight (in Korea they tell you 500 grams etc.). - One of the reasons we used to love W was because of the kimchi they grill with the porky belly. They forgot to grill the kimchi until we asked for it. Even then, the amount of kimchi they gave us did not compare to how much they used to give. - One of the veggies were rotten, but instead of giving us new veggies the server pointed it out to us and just put it to the side (fyi: you only get 2 slices of sweet pumpkin and 2 slices of mushroom for a medium W combo). If I'm paying for 4 slices of veggies, I better be getting at LEAST 4 slices - not 3. Quantity and service have dramatically decreased. Seems to be a recurring theme of "you don't get what you paid for." Safe to say, we will not be returning. read more

Looks like they revamped their website to look fancy but there is no online ordering which is too bad. We've ordered items to-go in the past and never had any issues. This time we ordered two bulgogi hot stone bibimbaps to-go, which are about $30 each. I specifically asked him if we can do hot stone to-go and he said yes. Well, when we received our order, the rice was not at all crispy and did not appear to be cooked in the hot stone at all. Also, just fyi Its purple rice and not white. (Which is supposed to be better for you but I don't know for sure) They also did not include any sauces like gochijan to go with it or any side banchans like kimchi. Nothing was included, Just two bowls of bibimbap in the bag! The bulgogi they added on it was very sparse in one bowl. The hot stone bulgogi is definitely not worth the added cost. The meet was grizzly and I literally had to spit out each piece after chewing because it was too tough. My dog benefitte I called them to ask about the sauce and he sounded confused and asked if we could come back for some. So we drove 10 minutes back and also asked about cooking the rice on the stone pot because it didn't appear to be like that. He just said they normally do it and that's how it comes. We got our hot sauce and banchan and left. They seemed overwhelmed there. We've never had any issues with this place before so maybe it's under new mgmt? Don't think we will be back. It's pricey and the inaccuracy and lack of quality control for to-go orders is not worth it. read more

At first when you walk in, there is no one to seat you to your table. We had to walk further into the restaurant to get the attention of a server to get seated. Once we were seated, the service was attentive. They came by to take the order promptly and served the ban chan. We ordered the beef combo, corn cheese and cold noodles. The cold noodles was okay but definitely not as good as Moran gak. The brisket and steak were really good. The quality of the meat was what i had expected. I was really excited to try this KBBQ spot and made the drive out specifically for it, but unfortunately never even got to sit down. When we arrived, we were told that reservations were completely full. That was confusing, because there was literally only one table occupied and two people sitting at the bar. Every other table, both inside and outside, was completely empty. I understand staffing limitations, but the situation didn't match what we were told and felt pretty frustrating after making the trip out. It isn't hard to find kbbq with good quality meat in SoCal, but W Prime offers that plus a view and cute outdoor vibes. Located at the Westridge Golf Club, you'll need to drive up a big hill and find this restaurant tucked in the clubhouse. Views of the golf club are real nice and expect golfers to be walking or driving by in carts throughout your meal. Meat quality here was great. It's not AYCE, so you can either order set meals or a la carte items. We had a table of 3 and got the beef combo medium and also got bibim naengmyun and seafood pancake, which I thought was a good amount of food for us. Banchan was also delicious, particularly the onions and this tomato side dish I've never had. Service was a little slow honestly. Servers were super nice and friendly, but it did take awhile for them to get to us when we first sat down and our set meal came out and meats were on the grill before we had banchan. Located on a golf course, the outdoor patio seating with heaters, cozy lighting, and city views makes it such a vibe. The food? Incredible. We tried the prime short rib (생갈비), boneless short rib (꽃살), and Hinoki steamed beef, and everything was cooked to perfection by their staff. The meat was so tender it melted in my mouth, but the Hinoki steamed beef stole the show. The quality of the food is pretty good but not great. The service is average and the vibe seems weird. I hate going to a restaurant where they have excess supplies in the main dinning room. I don't want to see that. The grills are run with propane tanks under or on the side of the table. It looks like somebody tired to turn a patio into a restaurant and they should have left it alone. I found out about this restaurant through an IG food influencer. It's tucked away atop a golf course, so naturally only way to find out about it is if you play there or social media. I wanted to love this spot because you don't have many kbbq spots with a view, but I was disappointed. This place doesn't seem to use enough salt for their side dishes, soups, even the marinated short rib was lacking salt and sugar. Everything was lackluster and service wasn't great either, given we were the only customers around 2pm. We ordered the small set which was more than enough for 2 ppl. Surprisingly high quality kbbq awaits you at Westridge Golf Club. The idea of opening a Korean BBQ restaurant at a golf course is actually brilliant because: 1. The views are great and 2. We end up eating kbbq 4 out of 5 times after golf anyway. I'll admit that we were hesitant to try this place because there are so many great kbbq options in the area, and there was a real risk that they could have just bought some meat from HMart down the street and serve it to unsuspecting golfers who are hungry after a round. I am pleased to report that the meat here is legit. We ordered Combo #2 and found the quality of meat to be comparable to the other top tier kbbq restaurants in the area (Baekjeong, Semaeul, etc.). What I liked about the combo was that it came with cuts of both beef and pork, so you get a little of everything. They also cooked kimchi on the grill with my pork belly, which was a nice touch. So if you are considering eating here after playing a round of golf, it is entirely worth it. Now, is it so good that I would go out of my way to eat here? Probably not. But it looks like a lot of people frequent this place at night, and I can certainly see the appeal of eating outside on the patio with nice lighting and an open view. So give it a shot for yourself. Ordered 2 combos and the quantity was sufficient for our large group of 8. Quality of meat was actually pretty good. Especially the marinated beef. Brisket was tender, though I've had better. They are located inside the golf place in La Habra, and I love the ambiance because it's outdoor so your clothes and hair doesn't smell as bad after and eating KBBQ outside just made it feel like I was glamping lol They are not AYCE KBBQ so it is on the higher end bc you have to order by each meat you want to eat. The banchans are all pretty good. But since it is outdoors, be aware of mosquitos during the summer time. My dad told me during winter, they put up lights and fireplace at night so it looks really nice, but it does get cold since it is outdoor. They also do have small indoor place to eat but majority is outdoor KBBQ. It's a good place to check out with your friends! I came here for my 29th birthday, and it was definitely the right place. This restaurant had been on my radar for months, since I didn't know we had a KBBQ spot right in our neighborhood. My parents and I ordered the fourth combo, and it was quite filling. The portion size looked small in the pictures, but I was really full at the end. We didn't finish everything because it was too much. I was a little worried at the beginning since there seemed to be a lot of fat on the meat, but everything melted in my mouth. My favorite was the 갈비 cut due to its sweetness. Customer service was okay. At the start, there was someone helping us with the grilling as expected. We were trying to adjust the heat since everything was burning really quickly, but it was on the lowest setting. When we ordered a pitcher of 805, we were told that was all. And since they didn't fill it up all the way, that we'd get a discount. Even though I didn't see it on the receipt, it didn't bother me. It was good enough that the waiter told us. There's a lot of seating outside than there is inside, and I think most people chose to sit outdoors because you get the scenic views. You also get to people watch the golfers on the course. At night, it feels cozy with the lights on the bug-zapping machines. (We have one at home, so I'm used to it.) I'm glad I finally was able to visit this fine establishment, but I wish there was a little park or something where you could walk around to enjoy the sights. read more

Marinated pork rib and pork jowl were the two favs surprisingly because we are usually steak and brisket fans. Located within the Westridge Golf Course clubhouse, this Korean restaurant serves KBBQ in their outdoor patio. Since it is located in the golf course, you'll have to drive up the hill to get here, but it's not long at all and totally worth it! We came on a weekday night and were seated immediately. There were also no issues when it came to finding parking. When you walk in, you'll walk through the hallway of their clubhouse all the way to the back to reach the restaurant. They offer both indoor and outdoor patio seating, but they only serve KBBQ outdoors. Our server was very friendly and offered recommendations when it came to portion sizes. There were a few instances where one of the servers forgot the items we ordered multiple times, so we just had to reorder it and it was fine. We ended up getting the Prime Combo #2 which came with so many different meats, kimchi stew, and two steamed eggs. I came in a party of 3 and we definitely left feeling so full. Something unique about this place is that they also offer black pork belly here. This is a delicacy famous in Jeju Island in Korea, so it was my first time trying it! Just as a heads-up, this place is NOT AYCE, but you can tell the quality of the meat is very high. They also offer a lot of different banchans too which is always a plus. At the end, we also got a bowl of naengmyun (cold buckwheat noodles). The noodles were perfectly chewy and the broth was so refreshing for a summer night. Great KBBQ to eat at whenever you are in need of good quality meats for good pricing. Nowadays, many different KBBQ spots are super overpriced for very low quality meats, but here the quality and marbling of the meats and the quantity of food that you get is more than worth the price! There is a very great selection of banchan that come out as well as jalapeños and garlic slices that you can place on top of the grill as well. I was also looking across the menu and there were many different options for normal hearty korean food as well. We ended up getting the Prime Brisket Soybean Stew and it was such a nice addition to the meat that we ordered as well. I recommend any of the Combos because you seriously get a bang for your buck. Come here with 3-5 people or more and it costs the same if not less for the good quality and quantity of the food! The servers were very friendly and help out in any way possible whenever we called them over. They cook the meat for you as well and overall great experience! Where they sat us the floor was wet not sure what was the deal with that. At the end they burned our meat and the excuse from our server was they got busy and were not able to give us the full service. We didn't eat the burnt meat and asked them to take it off our bill, our server said it was a package deal and he was unable to take it off. Really? I stumbled across this place because someone posted a picture of their pork belly and I was immediately sold. This place is in Westridge golf course and you don't need to be a member to eat here. I also learned this place has been open for a year and I was shocked because based off the reviews I thought it just opened. Not pictured was the cold noodles, 5/5. Perfect pairing with all the meats. What you're seeing here is combo #3 which serves 2-3 people. I had dinner with 3 people and we were all full by the end. The portions are filling. I'm glad I didn't go combo #2 because I don't think I'd be able to finish it. Solid variety in ban chan. The staff was attentive and delightful. HIDDEN GEM, I like this more than Baekjeong's combo because of the fact that the pork belly is included. Truly a perfect combination of QUALITY meats. The food is also pretty good which is surprising because you don't think of golf courses as having good food, especially KBBQ. We ordered a couple of the combo meals along with extra naengmyun on the side. The meat quality was surprisingly good and overall the meal was on par with any of the top KBBQ restaurants around. Not going to lie, at the beginning it was a bit strange. It is an outdoor spot and you are inside a tent... Pojangmacha style. (a restaurant based out of a small tent) but this one wasn't that small. Anyways, we really forgot about the setting once we started getting our food. Meat tasted fresh and it was good quality. Prices were similar to other Korean bbq restaurants, but it definitely had more meat than other places. People were kind and service was great. I didn't know, but this restaurant opened right before the pandemic, so it must of been hard to stay open. If you are around the area, please don't hesitate to give them a try!
