We've been coming here for years, so it honestly hurts to write this review. We decided to come back after not visiting for a while, and we were EXTREMELY disappointed. After this experience, we will NEVER be coming back. There was a small miscommunication with our order, which we were completely understanding about because mistakes happen. What wasn't okay was the attitude from the servers. Every interaction came with an attitude, and they seriously need to fix the way they talk to customers. They made us feel like we were asking for free food every time we needed something. Not once did anyone check on our table. We never got extra napkins, our side dishes were never refilled, and we constantly had to look around for someone if we needed anything. Even when they realized our order was wrong, the attitude they gave us was honestly worse than the mistake itself. On top of the terrible service, the food was disappointing too. Food tasted bland, and the side dishes were served warm instead of cold, which made it even less enjoyable. We've recommended this place to so many friends and family over the years because we genuinely loved it. In this area, there are so many good Korean BBQ places that good meat quality should honestly be the minimum standard. The meat had almost no real beef flavor, and the condition of the meat didn't look very fresh either. Even the side dishes felt incomplete, like they were prepared halfway and just put out quickly. I usually enjoy coming here, but today's experience was honestly one of the worst visits I've had. I'm only giving this rating because the staff was still friendly. Came here for dinner on a weekday and ordered regular dishes outside of KBBQ. Upon arrival was greeting by Korean aunties and seated immediately. Menu was in English/Korean so ordering wasn't a problem. Majority of the tables had KBBQ grilling and I wasn't feeling that so ordered the pancake, cold noodle dinner combo (cold noodle + LA Galbi) Food Every dish was prepped very well starting from the banchan. There was I believe an eggplant banchan that I really enjoyed. The fruit and potato salad was very refreshing and delicious. Everything else was pretty good but those two definitely stood out. Seafood pancake came out next, and it was delicious. Crispy outside skin, soft fluffy batter inside with plenty of seafood and green onions. Cold needles and Galbi came next and it was the perfect combo. Added in some hot mustard and a little vinegar and the flavor was perfect. I had dental work done recently so my tooth were sensitive after the ice cold noodles, but I couldn't stop eating! Service was extremely friendly, aunties refilled water and banchan without having to ask. Constantly checked up on me to ensure I was enjoying my meal. We ended up ordering one of their beef combos. They advertise a medium being good for 3-4 people. Definitely 4 people. It's a lot of food, including brisket cooked with veggies and mushrooms (which was a nice surprise), rib eye steak, ggotsal, and kalbi. It also comes with your choice of 3 sides, either soup, egg souffle, or corn cheese. Meat was quality, great flavors, they even change out the grill and cook with charred wood for the rib eye to give it that extra smokey flavor. We also got their salted pork ribs, which is supposed to be their signature dish. Comes with 8 ribs. It was OK. I thought the beef was better? It came with brisket; prime ribeye, prime boneless short rib, and marinated bone-in short rib. For our sides, we chose the kimchi stew, steamed egg, and corn cheese. The waitress cooked everything for us, and perfectly might I add, where the meat had some char without being overcooked. I was surprised by how tender and good quality the meat was. The kimchi stew wasn't our favorite but the steamed egg and corn cheese were gone quickly. This restaurant is definitely popular among the locals and I could see why. The brisket and pork belly were decent -- medium quality but nothing to rave about. The marinated beef short ribs, however, were disappointing. They had no flavor and were very bland. The cold noodles were also flavorless; I had to ask for extra sauce just to get some taste. Service was okay at best. They started off by cooking the meat for us, but then forgot about us completely, letting the grill pan burn. I ended up cooking the rest of the meat myself. Then we ordered the seafood stew and min of 2 orders needed to be ordered to cook at table. We also got steamed egg and cheese corn. Let's talk about the food. The banchan came out and we started to eat them....they were on sweet side. Can't complain about them. The ribs, we compare them to Ham Ji Park in LA. The ribs barely had meat on them. It also was not like fall off the bone kind of rib and the kicker ....it wasn't cooked all the way. Still red when you took a bite. We asked to cook them more and even when it came back it was still under cooked. Not worth the $80+ I paid. The seafood casserole for two orders. There was not enough seafood for two orders. One piece of squid, 2 shrimp, 2 crab and the stew was fishy. Definitely not worth the $80+! Then the service....we asked for things and it never came and we asked for the menu to order some other stuff but waiter never came by. We decided to check out and leave to eat somewhere else as it would have been faster than waiting for any additional service. My family said don't leave tips - pretty big deal when they have worked in the service industry. The food was not worth what we paid for dinner here. My next meal was 4 dishes that fed 9 ppl and it was $90 and service was so much better. Check out Yoo's Place a block away for better service and home cook Korean food. My grandparents, who are 84 and 88 years old, chose this restaurant because they wanted to take me out for dinner. My grandmother relies on a wheelchair due to chronic leg pain and rarely leaves the house. My grandfather is also her full time caregiver, so outings like this are incredibly rare and meaningful for them. I do not believe any of the staff intended to be hurtful, but this experience made it clear that there is a serious need for better training when interacting with elderly and disabled guests. As soon as we entered, before we had even been seated, one employee loudly called across the restaurant, "She absolutely needs to be in this wheelchair, right?" The comment was made from across the room, causing everyone nearby to stop and stare at my grandmother and our family. If the restaurant needed to verify accessibility accommodations, it could have been done discreetly and respectfully by approaching us privately or speaking directly to my grandmother. We chose to move past it because the rest of the staff was attentive. They helped grill our food, checked on us often, and the meal itself was enjoyable. Unfortunately, the evening took another uncomfortable turn. One employee began asking my grandmother how old she was. After hearing her age, she responded, "You're still too young to be in a wheelchair. It must be because you do not have enough muscle." She then spent several minutes telling us about another woman she knew who was supposedly older than my grandmother, still wore high heels, had very muscular legs, and even commented that her "ass is so tight" because she used to be a dancer. None of this was prompted. We never asked for health advice or comparisons. Growing old and becoming disabled already comes with a tremendous loss of independence. Many elderly people already feel like they are a burden to those around them. The last thing anyone wants during a family dinner is to have their disability publicly analyzed or be compared to someone who is supposedly aging "better." What saddened me most is that my grandmother simply smiled politely through the conversation. I laughed awkwardly because I was so caught off guard, and I regret not speaking up for her in that moment. I still paid for our meal and left a 20% tip because I recognize that the staff likely had good intentions. However, good intentions do not erase the impact of insensitive comments. I sincerely hope management uses this as an opportunity to provide disability and sensitivity training. A restaurant should be a place where elderly guests feel welcomed and respected, not where they feel singled out, questioned, or compared because of their physical condition. I hope no other family has to leave with this feeling after what was meant to be a special night together. read more

I can't visit often because it's quite far, but I often find myself craving their dongchimi cold noodles and charcoal-grilled pork with salt.
