We ordered the braised pork belly, cheese potato pancake, Korean cold noodles, pork bone potato soup, soy sauce crab, and the spicy octopus & pork rib hot pot. I've tried bossam at a handful of places and I have to say this was the most flavorful of the bunch. The seasoning really penetrated into the meat versus the alternatives I've had -- literally just tasting like boiled pork. There was a good assortment of banchan which all tasted fresh but not lacking in flavor. The seafood pancake really didn't lack and was ACTUALLY packed, a huge plus in comparisons to iterations I've had. The bingsu also surprised me. Here's what we ordered: Octopus & Pork Rib Hot Pot The huge octopus immediately caught our attention when it arrived at the table. The octopus was incredibly fresh and perfectly chewy, while the pork ribs were tender and flavorful. The glass noodles soaked up all the delicious broth, making every bite satisfying. The portion size was also very generous. Soy Sauce Marinated Crab (Ganjang Gejang) If you enjoy raw marinated crab, you should definitely try this. Mixing the rich crab roe with rice was absolutely delicious. It is available in both small and medium sizes. Pork Bone Soup (Gamjatang) Just like the famous Korean dish you see in K-dramas. The broth was rich without being greasy, and the meat portions were generous. It paired perfectly with rice. Although it looks spicy, it was actually very mild. Cold Noodles (Naengmyeon) A perfect dish to balance out the meal. It was refreshing, served ice cold, and the noodles had a great texture. Another thing I really liked was that the restaurant also has a café and dessert section, so we were able to enjoy coffee and dessert without going somewhere else. We ordered the Fresh Fruit Bingsu, which came with plenty of fresh fruit and just the right amount of sweetness. We also ordered the Mango Bingsu, and the shaved ice was incredibly smooth and finely textured. Both desserts were excellent. The restaurant is conveniently located near The Source OC, making it easy to stop by the Korean market after your meal. I think the owners changed recently because the food is so many better now! Everything on the menu is sooo good and hits close to home. My husband and I ordered a lot of different items to try and the soondubu jigae and the pork cutlet was amazing. We also ended the meal with classic shaved ice. I was craving some bossam and hot soup so this spot seemed to be the move. Food - 5/5 - Incredibly delicious!! I ordered the small bossam set and my friend got the yukgaejang. Both items really hit the spot. The bossam came with lettuce, radish slices, radish kimchi with oyster, marinated anchovy, and garlic. It also came with a broth soup and mixed purple rice to enjoy. The banchan on the table was standard and abundant. Yukgaejang was nice and spicy. Price - $$ - I think the pricing here is pretty standard, it's not particularly cheap or expensive. I do think I got a decent amount of food for what I paid. Service - 4/5 - We were primarily left alone after our food came but I do think that us coming late in the evening, nearing closing played a factor into that. I do wish they refilled the banchan more but I understand that it was pretty late for them. Overall, the service was great. I've been told that during the day, the restaurant can become quite crowded or super busy due to also servicing the spa next door, so be aware of that you may need to take your time here. Ambiance - 5/5 - Nice clean atmosphere with bright lighting. I found the vibes to be family friendly and quite cozy. I think it's a good spot when you want something with light hearted energy. Location - 4/5 - There's a large parking lot that is shared within a plaza with other establishments, this can get crowded but there definitely is parking. Just be prepared to possibly walk across the whole lot. This restaurant is also attached with a K-Spa and serves food to them, so that's majorly convenient if you are visiting that spa next door. Had a great lunch here before going to K Spa which is adjacent to the restaurant! They were open a little earlier than 11am and their lunch special deals on Monday to Friday 11am-3pm are very worth it! I got the dolsot bibimbap and it was very flavorful! Over the weekend, I stopped by the restaurant inside the KSpa planning to order some food. While I was eating, I noticed one of the employees bringing out a shaved snow ice dessert that looked so good I had to ask her what it was. She was the sweetest. She took the time to tell me about it, mentioned that she really liked it, and made it sound so good that I had to order one. I ended up getting the strawberry snow ice, and when she brought it to my table, I asked if strawberry was her favorite. She smiled and said her favorite is the Injeolmi, and she also recommended that I try the banana matcha latte on my next visit. I told her I'd definitely have to come back and try both next time! It was my first time trying it and the snow ice was delicious. It had a good amount of sweet and milky flavor. but what really stood out was the genuine, friendly service from the employee. Many downsides are that it's loud inside , no real thought was given to the customers' comfort in their open concept design. The thirds of the restaurant is hidden next to the two bathrooms and connected to the women's spa next door. The restaurant faces west with intense heat in the afternoon. They have Gender neutral bathroom and women's restroom but no men's bathroom is assigned. Therefore, all women tend to occupy the two bathrooms with kids and men have to wait for the gender neutral bathroom to open. Many times women used the All gender bathroom but left the women's bathroom unused. Also the waitress was somewhat careless. She pushed my phone holding hands to place a lukewarm bean sprout soup that was completely tasteless. The Hot Stone Bibimbop was acceptable but not worth the price. I'm giving them generous three stars for the reasonable food! I don't recommend it. read more

There are two entrances to the restaurant - one for spa guests close to the reception desk and one outside. I've eaten on both sides. The spa side of the restaurant is fairly small and you can bring the cafe drinks and shaved ice back into the common area of the spa. The restaurant side is much bigger and can accommodate larger parties. The food here is really delicious. The portions are large. And the side dishes are really good. They also provide complimentary hot tea. Unfortunately, the service here is slow. They'll look right at you and deliberately ignore you. Most restaurants add in way too much shredded beef (this can be a pro for some but not for me) and it ends up being a big blob of tangled beef and veggies but this place only adds in the right amount of veggies and meat ensuring quality eating experience. It also looks very spicy but it wasn't spicy at all when I was eating it. The side dishes were really delicious as well! Service is really good and the price for the amount that I got was good too. My boyfriend and I shared a small Bossam (Sliced Steam Pork Belly w/ Vegetables) and a Dolsot Bibimbab (Rice topped with 7 Namul, Beef, Egg Fry in Hot Stone Pot). The Banchan (side dishes) that were served were ones I've never had before. They were very unique and delicious. They even served Raw Crabs as one of the Banchans so I got to try that for the first time as well! Everything was served super fast and it was very flavorful, even the free soup they gave us, too. The interior was well-lit and bright. It was very clean and we were lucky to sit in cold AC as it was over 95 degrees when we visited. I did feel odd when one of our servers took my purple rice away because they said they shouldn't have given us 2 rice bowls when our 2nd dish was a Bibimbab. I had already nibbled some rice in the bowl and it honestly felt like a waste to take it away and toss it due to their mistake of giving us 2 rice bowls before both our dishes were served. It was very odd, but I could only awkwardly laugh it off, haha! Makes me wonder, how much does 1 bowl of rice cost for a customer to keep if it was the restaurant's mistake of giving it out?
