The menu is certainly not your typical sushi fare! We had an appetizer of churrasco dumplings and guava wontons which both were amazing! I had a coco mojito and it was so delicious!!! My husband ordered a spicy salmon and spicy tuna and while it was good, the rice tasted like water. I got the Yunque roll topped with crab salad and seaweed salad which was really good and the roll was pretty good but seemed to be lacking some flavoring. It was extremely crowded and service was a little slow but that's to be expected. And parking.... Much to be desired!!! But this place is definitely worth a try. read more

First of all, this restaurant is AMAZING! We had just spent the day hiking and needed something yummy to eat, Yelp users had given it such great reviews so we came here. I ordered a Pina Coloda and my friend got a strawberry drink. The miso soup had crab stick strip in it and was YUM-O! The edamame was nothing special but my drink was delicioso! When our rolls arrived (the Philadelphia roll & Burrito Roll) we were thrilled with the size of them and they were STUFFED full! The Philadelphia roll was fantastic, however, the burrito roll was the star attraction! Salmon, eel, smoked salmon, avocado, tomatos, eel sauce, scallions, cream cheese, rice and all wrapped in a tortilla. O M G! All together our bill came to just under $50! :) read more

I would give it 5 stars but the wait was very long, but totally worth it and it wasn't like your typical regular sushi, it definitely had a puertorican take on it, but still delicious. I was a little concerned about the idea of sushi in Puerto Rico but I really need a break from the amazing PR local cuisine...and so glad I did. This place is yummy! If you're staying at the Wyndham, it's just down the street off PR-3 to the right, next to Pepe's. It's well marked with a sushi bar banner. We ordered 3 rolls and a starter, plus the lo mein side (the hubs was hungry). The starter was a very tasty spring roll with seafood inside. We ordered the Mega Crunch Roll, the Catepillar Roll, and the Double Spicy Roll. The later two were my favorites and compare to some of our local sushi joints in California IMO. The first roll was fine, but personally I'd try another roll if I returned in the future. The lo mein looked good but I was in my happy sushi coma so only stole a few bites of green/red peppers and onions from my husband. If you go, definitely opt for desert. We shared the Guava Wonton dessert. It's fried wontons with guava inside served with ice cream and was VERY good. Our server was super helpful, interesting, and recommended us to a place for breakfast tomorrow we're excited about. Plus a tourist attraction we're going to check out that wasn't on our radar but looks awesome. His attention to details really made the meal that much more special for us. Seriously, don't even bother with the sushi at the resort. Go here instead! Get out of Wyndham and explore. Its a fun place, nice decor and decent fusion style sushi! Sushi is really good here. Came around 8pm on a Saturday night. Place got packed pretty quickly. Luckily we got here before it happened. Ordered Mar y Tierra roll and Alaska roll. Both very good and well done. Mad y Tierra roll were too much for just 1 person since it brought 10 pieces. We ended up leaving a few pieces. I was so full and the beers are very cold here. Would recommend. Come early to get prking since the lot isn't so big. read more

We have had sushi all over and after reading the reviews W sushi lived up to the hype! We are at the Wyndham with our daughters who decided to not nap till late, so unfortunately we ordered take out and weren't able to experience the atmosphere (my husband who picked up the order said it was really neat inside). I called in an order for Mega crunch roll, Spicy tuna roll-TALKING BEST I HAVE EVER HAD IN MY LIFE, Catepillar roll, Double spicy roll and side Fried rice (be sure to try it-SO delicious not typical, mouth watering!) and the order was ready in 20 twenty minutes, packaged beautifully, and RIDICULOUSLY delicious and fresh! I had no clue which roll was which or even what was in the rolls because I couldn't find a menu online I could zoom in with my phone to see the description of rolls (which is my only suggestion!) I have a feeling we will be back or placing an order before we leave, and someday when we return will for sure will be back! read more

Yum. A little pricey but the sushi is really delicious! I had the Jc roll and the matador. Matador was a little weird for me with the plantain inside but my boyfriend liked it. It was nice and hot on the outside with creamy sauce toasted lightly. The Jc roll was delicious with a bit of jalapeño. They also give you three dipping sauces. The waitress was also very nice! My wife and I had 3 rolls. The first 2 were great and then we decide to order the matador since the server was recommending it a lot. The name goes with it. It almost kill me. It has a ginger mayo sauce on top of a really hot roll that looked burned after being in the oven for 10 minutes. I think that I don't have to explain what happens to mayo when is warm. The menu says white and eel sauce (BEWARE) this mayo based sauce made me left the sushi in the toilet after puking. I don't know how they sell something knowing that is dangerous and not tell the customer about it. 3 rolls and 2 mojitos for $80 bucks after taxes and tip. The W is for wish did not had the Matador that almost me mata. Very disappointed we wasted $18 on a roll we could not finish eating. Not even a discount or apologies. read more

We were staying at the Wyndham and we drove by this place a couple of times and decided to try it out and we're glad we did. The food is delicious and fresh. They have an interesting twist of local cuisine in sushi form as well as traditional sushi, sashimi and appetizers. I recommend you try them. I was a little thrown about a lot of rolls having cream cheese, but they are very accommodating and you can have the rolls made with out the cream cheese. My daughter scarfed up the Criollo Roll. The cuts on the rolls were pretty in even but then again they were packed and while making the rolls can't get any faster I commend them on keeping on point. The staff is young, but attentive. They make sure you are well taking care of. While we did not eat at the restaurant (we decided to eat on the balcony of the hotel room) it is a good idea to plan ahead and call ahead to minimize the wait. Since they do not have a website or a menu online (at the time of this review) make sure you stop by and pick up a menu. read more

Fusion sushi... not my favorite thing to find out when I was expecting regular sushi. All of the rolls are filled with FAKE crab. Seriously you are this close to this Ocean and you aren't using fresh local resources. (Makes me question where they received their other seafood from) That's another mark down. After skimming through a menu of unappetizing sounding rolls I just chose a shrimp tempura roll since that was the most "normal" sushi on the menu. When I got it, lack luster. They used maybe one piece of shrimp throughout the whole roll and they didn't season the sushi rice. I'm honestly pretty disappointed. read more

Excellent fresh fish, fantastic service, fun atmosphere. Came here after a long day touring the rain forest and was pleasantly surprised by how awesome this place was. Best miso soup I've ever had (beware - it has crab in it if that's not your thing). Tuna, yellowtail & salmon sashimi were delicious...super fresh. Spicy tuna roll is the best I've ever had. Fury roll was okay...a little to saucy for my tastes but the wife loved it. Kids had chicken teriyaki with fried rice, which was delicious. The rice has lots of bacon and pork fat in it, which Was fantastic. Tastes even better the next day as a leftover when some of that flavor has really soaked in. The Sushi was good, actually something great. But the service had a lot to wish for. We asked for edamame appetizer and sushi rolls. The rolls came, we had efazized we wanted edamame first. She said she could still bring but we already had the rollls, it misses the whole point of an appetizer. During our meal we were never asked how everything was (although sushi was amazing) and our water was never refilled. We had to ask the waitress to refill. She cleared the table and asked if we wanted dessert, which we didnt. She didnt offer the check and we needed to hail her down a second time for the check.
