There sushi options are delicious! We come to W Sushi Bar every time we're in Puerto Rico. The service is good and the staff are friendly. Highly recommended!

This was a nice treat after a morning at El Yunque Rainforest. Restaurant is small, so it's best to call ahead and make a reservation, especially if you have a large party. Service was great. Our group had two dogs, they were cool with it. They have a variety of beers from your more commercial options to a few craft options. Sushi was very good. My favorites were the Double Spicy Roll and the Recaito Roll. Overall, this is a great option when looking for a spot to eat in the Río Grande and Luquillo area.

The spot is nice inside. It's small and dimly lit with about 15 tables. It has a very intimate, relaxing vibe. The W salad was good because it has a little of everything that I wanted. Everything was balanced and fresh. I wish the drink was a little bigger for 10 bucks. I also wish the sashimi was cut in larger chunks. They were tiny but plentiful.

A little though to get into , but amazing food and great service! The sushi was so fresh and probably one of the best sushi places I've ever been to. They have vegetarian options available and are bilingual with language. I highly recommend this place.

Open until 8PM tonight. It's next to Don Pepe and Dos Panzas. Vax card to get in. Ordered the flat crab, Yunque roll, Boston roll, golden dragon roll with chicken, California special roll with no tobiko. I want several other rolls with less raw fish, but they won't let us modify anything from the menu. Argh. The crab flats was blah and boring and didn't have much flavor or much to it at all. The golden dragon roll is good. The Yunque roll isn't too bad. They put the tobiko right inside the roll and thus it was hard to pick it out. I was done after one. I forgot this roll had tobiko in the frenzy of trying to order rolls that were items we could eat and only have to omit the tobiko from. I hope the last two rolls don't have tobiko in them either. The ginger tastes off, perfumey and odd. The california special and the Boston roll are so-so, neither are special. The Boston is okay because it has cream cheese in it. I do like all of their slate sushi plates and their wood ones too. I also like the toasted sesame seeds on top of the Boston and california special roll as well. Service is good. Food was so-so.

Guava margarita

Our experience here was so great that I felt compelled to leave a review on my way home. This place is right outside El Yunque so super convenient for the park visitors like us looking for an early dinner. I had a guava margarita, which was excellent. The two of us ordered Taquitos, guava wontons, double spicy roll & Godzilla & holy crap!!!!! They were all outrageously delicious. All tasted very fresh and not heavy at all. Love the fusion aspect of adding Caribbean flavors to japanese cuisine. Guava wontons were to die for & I've never had anything like them before. Taquitos were perfect & rolls were huuuuge (10 piece per roll). All the food was so beautifully plated. Service was amazing as well - our server was attentive and friendly. I know we went for an early dinner but drinks came out quickly & all the food also. We had to finish the meal with a dessert just to get the full experience & got the tres leches - also awesome!!! Also we sat upstairs and the bathroom was soooo nice - had tampons & liners, which is such a kind touch & lotion for your hands as well. Literally such a great experience & hope y'all go here too to keep this place in business for the next time we are in the area!

Umi Roll

Unreal. Like I told my boyfriend that I didn't want to eat any food other than Puerto Rican dishes while we were out here but I'm glad I changed my damn mind. LAWD! We got the Umi roll, which was a new addition to the menu, and it tasted like heaven on a plate. The bartender was super kind and really knew his stuff, except that in NY we don't say yoooo we say yerrr. Lmao. Anyway, my man ordered the ginger mojito and it was so fresh and tasty. I ordered the mango mojito and it was delicious! He came out and asked us how it was and raves about it. For the appetizer we had the tuna crab and avocado salad. That was soooooo delicious. The scallions really kicked up the taste a notch. The tuna was extremely fresh. We knew the fish would be uber fresh since we are so close to the water haha. Lastly, the service was A1! Our server was attentive and knew everything on the menu. Everyone worked as a team to make sure we were satisfied. My birthday is this Friday so my boyfriend surprised me with fried ice cream and they sang happy birthday, en Español, of course. It was awesome. The experience was dope after hiking in El Yunque Rainforest. Thank you guys so much!

We expected good food at such a nice resort but this was so much more! We had the Chicken Tikki Masala and Chicken and Shrimp Pad Thai. Both were so delicious, very authentic tasting, which was surprising having Indian and Asian (I know they share a continent, but are quite different in many ways culturally). Just the right amount of medium spice, and amazing flavor left us wishing we could bring it back to have the leftovers! The service was excellent and the ambiance was very nice with a cool looking bar decor as you enter. My kids also enjoyed their Lo mein dishes so much they left nothing on their plates, which is rare for them The resort is also a wonderful place to vacation, but more about that in their review. If you come to the Hyatt Grand Reserve here in Rio Grande, make a reservation at Nori - you need a reservation as it's popular. It will be a worthwhile experience for your palate ‍

This meal was no different. There were other dishes on the menu that intrigued me, but I wanted to get an appetizer-sized portion for my meal instead and went with the kakiage vegetable tempura. The tempura was definitely a different take from what I'm normally used to as a standard Japanese vegetable tempura dish, and more of a fusion as my family also felt about their tonkotsu ramen. It was a little weird with the drizzle all over the tempura. What really gives my review the 4-stars is the excellent service we received from our waiter, Anthony, who was very welcoming and personable. We got into a long conversation about his life moving to PR and how he has nicely adapted. He even shared photos of his family with us. What a great way to wrap up another fun day in PR!

I don't know if its because of the change of management but we stayed none the less. We entered and where soon greeted by a very friendly gentleman (who apparently was the owner of the place, his name is Wing Yip) He asked if it was our first time there, he gave us our menus and explained whats popular and so on. He was very patient with us and again super friendly. The place is a bit small and cramped but it has a cozy atmosphere. We ordered some Pork Dumplings, a Veggie Roll and a California Roll. Also on Monday-Fridays they give free miso soup before 2pm which was a plus. When the food arrived it was in a very beautiful presentation and to our surprise it was in a cute boat shaped plate! (I guess they are trying to keep the memory of the boats) The miso soup was delicious. (I guess because its free it didn't have the tofu but thats completely fine with me since its free) The Rolls where really good! (I was a bit surprised with how Good they where to be honest.) We also ordered 2 glasses of the Japanese plum wine and it was amazing, its a very sweet and light white wine and so fruity! All in all the service was more that Great, the staff was super friendly the Owner is seriously the most attentive, friendliest, hardworking manager/owner I've ever met! so props to Wing Yip. This is now one of my fave places to go.

My parents had eaten here before and said it was really good, so we were excited to see if it lived up to the hype. The restaurant had a lively, bustling atmosphere, with a steady stream of customers dining in and picking up takeout orders. Even though it was busy, the staff kept things moving efficiently. Even for a large order, the wait was only about 30 minutes. They have a separate pickup area for to-go orders, which made the process organized and easy despite how busy they were. We ordered the beef fried rice, house fried rice, churrasco steak, house lo mein, sesame beef, jumbo shrimp, chicken wings, fried pork, pork ramen, and three sushi rolls. The kids in our family chose the Philly Roll, Salmon Avocado Roll, and Red Dragon Roll, and they really enjoyed them. I had originally planned to order a different sushi roll from the menu, but it wasn't available that day. It wasn't a big deal, though, because the rolls we did get were fresh and delicious. Everything was flavorful and well prepared. The churrasco steak was my personal favorite--the meat was incredibly tender and already well seasoned on its own. My husband wasn't a fan of the accompanying sauce, but he agreed the steak itself was excellent. We also really enjoyed the fried rice, and the portions were generous. They were also generous with the condiments and included a variety of sauces with our order, which we appreciated. The only thing we missed was chili oil, since it's a condiment we usually expect to have available at Chinese restaurants. If you're staying nearby or looking for a restaurant that offers both Chinese and Japanese cuisine, Tayzan is definitely worth checking out. Just be prepared for a crowd--it seems to be popular for a reason!

We walked in 5 minutes after they opened on a weekday, grabbed our own menus and sat ourselves. The prices were a bit high. $15-$20 for most rolls, but I kept an open mind. We ordered calamari and two rolls. 15 minutes later we got a paper food truck plate of over-fried, rubbery, greasy, chopped scraps of "calamari." It was obvious that the inner part was freezer burnt and coated with fresh tempura. Neither my husband, toddlers or I were able to bite through any piece. I wish I had taken a picture because it was a fraternity microwaved leftovers plate being served for $11.50. As I sat wondering what our rolls would be like, I got more irritated thinking about at how they would serve this food to anyone. After 3 minutes of contemplating, I took the plate to the front and told the waitress/cook that it was inedible. She blamed the company (I assume their supplier.) I calmly told her that I'm sorry, but we wouldn't be paying for it because the fish was old, hard, had no flavor and couldn't be eaten. I told her to cancel the rest of our order because I could not have my family eating such poor quality food and we would be leaving. I also very politely suggested they find a new supplier because there is no excuse for a restaurant on an island to serve old seafood.. She seemed surprised, but could not deny the plate in front of her. I normally would feel SOOO awful about not paying for food, and this is the first time I have ever left a restaurant because of the horrible quality of a single menu item. I am literally writing this review only to avoid anyone else wasting their time or spending a single dollar here.
