two bowls of food on a table

The store is located in the center with Costco. We were looking for a healthier option than Costco pizza and hotdogs so decided to stop in here. Clean and spacious. They have plenty of tabkes for dining in. We tried their bowls, one chicken and one shrimp. Vegetables were quite fresh and bowls were good. I did prefer the chicken over the shrimp. They give extra sauce and hot sauce in case you want more flavor. Staff was super nice

Surprised to see lots of bad reviews for this location so thought I'd share my experiences. Location is fairly new, with a clean modern look. You can definitely comfortably eat here if you'd like. There is ample parking in the plaza but beware of the Starbucks drive thru which blocks up the access time to time. Food has always been consistently good with well cooked food, organized presentation and quality packaging. I've eaten at this location over 20 times and it's one of my sage go to rice and chicken meals in the area. The food is healthy and clean. A great option for a quick bite. I usually get the chicken veggie bowl or the waba bowl which includes both chicken and steak. Highly recommend getting the green onions and waba sauce to add to your meal. Service has been decent for fast food. Never had an issue and it's been easy to order. They also do a good job making the food fairly quickly.

I've actually never eaten at a WaBa Grill before until last week. Since I get gas at this Costco all the time, I noticed that it was actually open. I came here with a friend from work and ordered a chicken and veggie bowl with brown rice. The veggies consisted of broccoli, carrots and steamed cabbage. Similar to Flame Broiler, they have some self-serve sauces which I got with some green onion. Whoever is chopping the green onion, chops them really thick by the way. (attention to detail...) My friend ordered the bowl that came with both beef and chicken, but her bowl only had chicken in it. She told me she was here before and they did the same thing. The last time, she didn't complain, but now that it happened a second time, she went to the register to inform them of the error. They let her keep her chicken bowl and gave her a side of the beef on the side. Overall, nothing fancy, but i do like that they have the option of brown rice. The parking lot here can be a bit tricky and I witnessed multiple close calls already during lunch time on a week day. That's a big negative being in the same plaza as a Costco.... I did enjoy my meal, but probably wouldn't go out of my way to eat here. So just an "A-OK". 20/100 Reviews 2017

Clean place, but every time I come here they give you more rice and less chicken. I hate driving to the one on arrow highway but when I want to give this wabs a chance they always end up disappointing me..

I really wanted to love Couwami Asian Fusion!…read more The small, family run restaurant cozily braided into a strip mall one block south of the 210 FWY on Azusa had piqued my interest when I'd ferried an Uber Eats order from there on SAT. Interest captured by the vivid scents wafting from the kitchen and the mostly positive Yelp reviews, I boomeranged back 24 hrs later to place my maiden order. I went with Shanghai Egg Rolls and the Yang Chow Fried Rice, but I'd asked them to substitute more chicken and Chinese sausage for the shrimp, as your favorite Yelp correspondent has never enjoyed shrimp in any form other than cocktails. The staff is exceedingly nice!!! Owner/proprietor JOSEPH and his wife skate around as balls of determined energy, but with welcoming smiles affixed to their faces. The prices are pretty reasonable- My tab for a generous multi-protein entree and appetizer was $19.34 including taxes. But can we please have a conversation about the flavors? Couwami partisans! Tell me-- Did your faithful correspondent order the wrong items?! My Shanghai Egg Rolls were undercooked, limp and flaccid. The flavors were solid but the texture was so off-putting and uncharacteristic for a typical egg rolls, that I could barely get them down. The Yang Chow Fried Rice was also undercooked- I'm used to fried rice that has a toasted, beigy-yellow finish with chicken or pork cooked to at least medium to medium well doneness. My entree was, as the picture attest, a faint ivory hue and I actually hadta toss it in my skillet for five minutes to toast up the rice and finish cooking the tendrils of chicken, which were served medium rare, a micro-degree above pink but with the unpleasant mouth feel of sushi. Not exactly the way you'd expect your proteins to be prepared! I'm a huge believer in redemption. And judging by the hundreds of 4.2 level reviews on Yelp, I suppose its possible I just caught the cook on a bad night or ordered the WDT (Wrong Damn Thing)...twice! I'd normally accord two stars but will bump this up to three based on the utter civility and decency that Joseph and his staff extended to me.

Happy to return back to enjoy another wonderful meal. YES, got my 4th stamp at And Broth! Half portion of Texan Pho (no substitutions) was the free offer via passport. Broth was deliciously savory. Plenty of noodles even in half portion. Love the fresh veggies! Brisket was tender and quite flavorful. Yes, I took a bite of the beef. I am seriously reconsidering to add beef back into my diet. I will need to start slow. Thanks And Broth for the tasty offer! In support of biz, I also got the Grill Chicken Salad plus an Ube Cream Viet Coffee. WOW, chicken and salad portions were impressively huge! Chicken was perfectly marinated and grilled. Just delish. Greens were very fresh and crisp. However, there was still a lot of water on the greens. After I brought it home, salad got whimpy unfortunately. They need to let the salad drain to dry. Ube Cream Viet Coffee was decent... ube flavor blended with viet coffee nicely. Staff was friendly and nice. Food came out timely. Atmosphere was quiet at shared seating. You can't ask for a better combination of great tasting foods, friendly service, and nice ambiance. I'll be back to try their other specialty Pho combinations. Concerning payment, this business only accepts Visa, Master Card, Cash, Zelle, and ApplePay.) My family and I arrived on Thursday, Thanksgiving Day (around 1PM). I'd made a reservation the day prior since I'd been searching for businesses that stayed open during Thanksgiving. Parking is very easy. The private lot is spacious with many spots. Staff is very friendly and welcoming. Staff mostly spoke Mandarin; however, there was one staff member that could fluently speak English. Staff is very helpful and professional, and staff answered all our questions. We ordered seven dishes; all the dishes arrived within 38 minutes and 16 seconds. Good pace. The Salt & Pepper Fish Filet ($14) arrived in nine minutes. Then, six minutes later, the Beef Chow Fun ($13) and String Bean with Minced Chicken ($14) arrived. Then, 10 minutes later, the Combination Fried Rice ($17) and Salt & Pepper Shrimp ($17) arrived. Lastly, around 14 more minutes later, the Scallion Oil Chicken (Half - $17) and Almond Tea ($7) came. We happily devoured these delicious dishes. The Salt & Pepper Fish Filet had a thin, crisp crust with hot fish. It's gently seasoned. The Beef Chow Fun had springy, bouncy noodles. Its beef came very tender but a little lukewarm. The String Bean with Minced Chicken tasted clean and fresh; its chicken came tender and juicy. The Combination Fried Rice had plump shrimp, tender beef, and moist chicken. I especially loved how the rice felt hot & fluffy. It was well-seasoned. The Salt & Pepper Shrimp tasted crisp, plump, and well-salted; these shrimp were fried perfectly. The Scallion Oil Chicken tasted very tender and juicy. And the Almond Tea felt hot, velvety with the fresh aftertaste of almonds. Every meal felt clean and fresh. All in all, we appreciated how every dish lacked that overpowering/masking flavor. "TASTY!" Concerning ambiance, Sands Chinese Restaurant (Irwindale) is clean, sleek, and minimalistic. The tables and floors are very shiny. There's about seven tables inside. There's also a customer restroom in the back. The location is also well-ventilated as soft music plays in the background. Overall, my family and I had a lovely experience at Sands Chinese Restaurant (Irwindale). The food is fresh, filling, affordable, and delicious. If curious, I definitely recommend. 5 out of 5

I remembered this place from awhile back and as the first time, it was still so good. I do believe ownership may have changed as the name of the restaurant now reads "Sushi." There was "egg flower", disks of fish cake, green onion, and shredded seaweed. By itself, this was plenty - but because "more is more" I also ordered the spicy tuna roll. Everything about it was so tasty, spicy, and typical for a spicy tuna roll. The menu is diverse with a range of lunch size and larger bento boxes of various combinations. Everything looked good! They also offered several styles of udon and yakisoba in addition to the pre-fixe salad bar: oriental salad, tomato salad, and one other that I forget. Service was amazing!
