My first experience at WaBa Grill was memorable. My husband and I ordered a salmon (no sauce) veggie bowl with broccoli only and avocado, since we're watching our carb intake. First of all, there's a charge for omitting rice and two other veggies? Like that makes sense. Anyway, we get our order and... there's rice under the salmon and broccoli. My husband tells them we didn't want rice, and the cashier tells us to eat around it. EAT. AROUND. IT. We take it back to our table, then she brings out a side of broccoli and tells us "Next time, ask for no rice," to which my husband replies, "Don't worry. There won't be a next time." Burn. I've been going to the Thai/Chinese place just a few suites away for as long as I remember. My sister and I finally decided to give this spot a chance after passing by it numerous times on our way home. My sister got the chicken bowl and I got the chicken/beef plate. I loved what I got. Didn't finish all the rice. I feel like they put a ton with the order, but that's nothing to complain about. It was nice to have a small side salad with the meal. The meat definitely tastes different, in a good way. I do like the way it's prepared. Also appreciate how clean the place was and how nice the staff was. I would give less than one star if I could. I placed an online order and somehow selected the wrong location. I know I checked it before placing the order, but it is an easy mistake to make. As soon as I realized the mistake, I called the location to cancel my order. The guy who answered the phone was extremely rude and condescending. I explained that I intended to place the order at a different location, and he said that wasn't his problem and he made the food, even though it was before the pick-up time. I explained that I was on a lunch break and over 20 minutes away from his location. He said that wasn't his problem and he wouldn't cancel my order and I had to pay whether I picked up the food or not. This is extremely unprofessional. Every time I have seen something like this happen, the restaurant refunds the person who made the mistake. I will never visit this location because of this experience.
