This place sucks! From the customer service to the food, here's why: My girlfriend and I got here around 7:15 the other night. I took my drink cup and went to make an Arnold Palmer with their Passion Fruit Iced Tea, which was almost empty. I asked the cashier if she could make more and surprisingly she said, "no, we stop making it at this time of night because we're almost closed." I found this to be pretty odd, so I googled their hours because it seemed way too early to be doing something like this. Sure enough they didn't close until 9... What ever happened to getting what you pay for? Is pissing off your customers really worth saving 50 cents of iced tea? Super lame since I don't drink soda and was left with that or water. After googling their hours, I then asked the associate "you guys don't close until 9?" Which she confirmed and I asked if they really couldn't make any more tea and she said "no, sorry". And my girlfriend was concerned they would even spit in our food for asking again. As for the food, my girlfriend ordered a veggie bowl. I guess the name is pretty spot considering her food was about 50% cabbage and stale carrots. The pictures on the menu sure are deceptive. Long story short, this place made me pretty certain I'm done eating here for good. read more

I ordered a chicken and steak plate . The employee were very polite the girl took my order,I asked for extra meat she said they had to charge me extra 2dollars. So I said that was fine. So they made my meal everything was fine till I looked at it. And didn't look like they put extra meat so I asked if they could put more,b.c it look like the normal amount of meat. So I guess all the employees were asking the store manager or who ever the man that was in charge what should the do . So he told the boy employee to put more steak not chicken and had a attitude doing it so I asked what about the chicken and he still had and attitude doing it . I don't think he needs to be store manager/supervisor if he going to get an attitude with the customers just b.c I asked for more of what I paid for. read more

The nightmare girl that is working there tonight 10/27/17 8:30pm answered the phone with an attitude asking how long I'm going to take to get there for my order because they "close in 20mins", when she was told I'd be there in less than 10 she did her "*ugh* I guess I can take your order". Excuse me but you're done serving at 9. You're still staying there to clean and count your drawer and other bs so get that attitude right or quit and work a warehouse. SMH. Treat people the way you'd like to be treated honey. Better yet how you'd like your parents or kids treated. read more

Utterly disappointed at the customer service we were given at this restaurant located on 9670 Haven Avenue, Rancho Cucamonga, CA 91730. We had brought in a "Buy any plate and a drink, and get a checken bowl for free" coupon which I printed out from couponclipper.com which Waba Grill sponsors, but the manager at that restuarant refused to honor it, stating that it was printed black and white on paper and looks like it was photocopied. Is he kidding? Of course it's printed on paper! I printed this off a website for crying out loud. What did he expect? Glossy poster paper in full colored ink? Sorry I can't afford colored ink. And then he accueses me that it looked photocopied? Where does this manager get off? This is bad business practice, and this is descrimination. I have reported this to their corporate office and to the BBB. read more

A nice and healthy place to eat for the person on the go. They get your food to you fast so even a 1/2 hour lunch would work unless it's during the 12:00-1:00 hour when it gets busy. read more

I went to this waba grill today and order three bowls with brown rice. The rice was very hard and dry! I called the store to let them know. The manger called me back and said that's how brown rice is. No! That's not true. I eat at the one on football and Milliken all the time and it's always good. Brown rice is harder then white rice. But this place was very bad. We could not eat the rice at all. And the manager didn't care. Never again! read more

Boo hoo. Waaaah. What happened to my waba grill?? Well its true I have been cheating on them with Yoshinoya, but when my husband called me from work and asked what he could bring me home for lunch, I said without hesitation, a salmon bowl from Waba Grill with brown rice and veggies and green onion and avocado. Real healthy. Real delicious. Well it used to be. Today I got a salmon bowl and it was awful. My bowl had more veggies than rice, usually its at least 50/50 ratio, today it was real light on rice. And while the avocado was fresh , which is good because its 2 bucks more to add. The salmon was a much smaller portion than before. And while it was a tiny salmon fillet, it was super dry and fishy, so a larger portion of such fishiness wouldn't have been great anyway. A lousy waste of calories. I won't tell my hubby that though. That would be pretty ungrateful of me, given that he was the one working and yet still delivered my lunch. But between you and me, I will not be requesting Waba Grill anytime soon. read more

I never found the urge to try this out until one day when we were close by and I was famished. It's the same as Flame Broiler except they have shrimp and salmon in their menu. The food was average. I wasn't happy with their brown rice though. I felt that it was really undercooked. More like eating raw rice. I probably won't be back. read more

I came in Thursday night for my first time food and customer service was great they were all very nice so I decided to stop by again today I happened to go in with my husband around 6pm and ordered food was great as always. Customer service was NOT the young lady working shouldn't be working if she's gonna be rude I wonder if her manager knows how she works the whole time she was complaining saying she wanted to leave or would roll her eyes when customers would walk in I just felt uncomfortable So rude I don't think I'll ever go again Saturday's. read more

poor service . My wife is 9 month pregnet and we had old lettuce ( brown letttuce)it seems like few days old.There was no Manager on duty to applogize. first off let me say this is probably the best half and half bowl I've ever had from any waba grill.. now the reason it gets 3 stars is because I made my order dine in, I didn't finish the bowl and returned to the counter to get a bag to go. the girl behind the counter (about 5'7, slightly heavyset, black hair I believe) was speaking w her male coworker about making certain bowls. I was patiently waiting for them to conclude and said to the other customer at the counter "should I just yell to them asking for a bag?" she replied yes so we both got their attention and I asked for a bag, the female behind the counter said "one second" and turned away and kept talking. the other customer says to me "and still no bag" so I'm standing there and say "hello, can i get a bag to go please?" the girl again says "one second, and turns her back to me and continues talking" I walk out upset and decided not to throw a fit and cuss this girl out lol. hopefully she straightens up or gets fired. either is cool w me. read more

Waba is our go to place for lunch or dinner when we want something fresh and healthy while eating out. Our boys 3 and 5 love Waba Grill just as much as we do. We have tried the chicken, steak, and salmon and all are great. Much more flavor than Flame Broiler. Excited that they are opening another Waba location in town. read more

Pretty good place for that teriyaki chicken. The beef is also great. The shrimp is alright but you definitely wanna try the chicken. On weekends it's 7.98 for 2 chicken bowls which is an awesome deal. read more

Tastes great & sounds like a "healthy" place but if you are a calorie counter like me, good luck finding accurate nutrition info. There are 2 vastly different charts on their website. One that makes absolutey no sense ( and the same one used in their stores ) and a different one that makes more sense. When I called headquarters about this, they had the one that does not make any sense at headquarters. As a small example I order the veggie bowl. The non-sensical chart says it has 460 cals. The other says 189. The non-sensical chart states that substituting brown rice adds 290 cals. The other that it reduces calories by -50. I mean come on people! What are you doing? Also I just want to point out that IF the chart in their stores and at headquarters is correct: the veggie bowl containing 460 calories means they are adding something else to their food; oil or some other additive. In the real world, 1 cup of rice (white or brown--doesnt matter) has 150 calories. Vegetables (the amount they serve in a veggie bowl) without oil have about 60 calories.There is at most 1 1/2 cups of rice in that bowl and that is over-estimating. So the veggie bowl SHOULD BE about 285 calories at most. If their non-sensical chart is correct, Im telling you there SHOULD NOT be 460 calories in a veggie bowl. They are adding something else to their food and decieving the public. read more

Waba Grill is awesome. I'm a picky eater I love it. Could eat here everyday. You get a lot of food & just for a little bit more you get twice as much food. It's tasty & if you want more teriyaki sauce asks they'll give it to you for no additional price. It's very tasty, healthy & affordable. I have no complaints!!! read more

Much better and cleaner than any Flame Broiler I have been to and many of my friends say the same thing. Friendly service and the food is out fairly quickly and it's healthy for you! Use the hot sauce in the bottle that is not labeled, it's so much better! Their bowls seem to be a favorite for most people. Two thumbs up for this place for being extra clean as well! read more

I've been to a few different Waba's and food is basically the same. I always get the chicken and veggie bowl with brown rice. The food was good as usual. My issue is with the customer service or lack there of. Jacky hardly greeted me and when she gave me the total for my order (not asking if that was all I wanted) I said I needed one more bowl and she just rolled her eyes and took my card. Then I was waiting at the front for my order since I was the only one in there and I was getting extra sauce and forks. She came to the front with my order and and put forks in my bag. When I noticed this is tried to talk to her saying "oh, I guess I don't need these", she didn't even look at me and left my bag on the counter and walked away. Needless to say, will not be coming back to this location. read more

Tried the salmon bowl b/c it was recommended... Well it was actually quite gross, the salmon was slimy and sticky on the bottom. When I asked the manager if I could exchange it he said no and then asked me what was he supposed to do the salmon bowl... I ordered a shrimp veggie bowl and asked for no cabbage. Upon getting my receipt I noticed I'd been charged an extra $0.35 on top of the price of the bowl. The description said "Veggie Options". When I inquired about it I was told that I was charged for having no cabbage! What?! I've NEVER heard of such a thing. The gal I spoke to said it's because they have to replace the missing cabbage w/other veggies. I let her know I didn't ask for any extra veggies, just that I didn't want cabbage. She said that's how their register was coded. If nothing else the staff should be instructed to let the customer know that it'll be extra to opt out of an ingredient. When I brought it to corporate's attention, they apologized and said that franchise owner would be in touch. When that person finally contacted me, all he said was that corporate dictactes the prices. One passing blame onto the other. Thankfully, I like Flame Broiler best so will take my business there instead. read more
