I try to eat here at least once a week. The Chicken Veggie bowl is my favorite. It's very healthy and delicious. I would recommend this place as a nice break from fast food. .. Also I am big on hot sauce and if you are too, squirt some Sriracha on your bowl and your good too go! I am giving this Waba 3 out of 5 stars because the Waba in Chino is way better. They give you more food, service is faster and they have Sriracha. For some reason the Waba in Rancho doesn't...I find that to be a sin....!!! So in the event I do eat at this one, I take it to go. The only reason I gave Waba the second star was due to the beef, it was ok, but the chicken was bland and tasteless, the sauce did not really help. I liked the beef and rice bowl and the price was good. Being so close to my school is a plus but since i live so close I would rather save money and eat at home. Well I've had this place several times and finally decided to write a review about it. I really enjoyed the food the previous times. I did get sick right after eating from here a few months ago but I'm not sure if it was the food or a 24 hour flu... Either way my family and I decided to give it another shot. I got the kids meal chicken bowl with brown rice. My sister got a regular chicken bowl also with brown rice and my mom got a chicken salad. At first, I didn't realize what was going on but my teeth started hurting. Half way through my meal I said out loud that my teeth were hurting and that I thought the rice was hard. My sister agreed. The brown rice was hard and under cooked. Weird if you ask me. Maybe they didn't add enough water to it but it was nasty. I have never had my teeth hurt before so this was a first and last. My moms salad was missing cucumber and the apples their picture show. I asked the cashier and she said that they put whatever they have. She said if they don't have an item for the salad they don't put it on. I just said okay and walked away. I will definitely never come back here again. As far as the cleanliness goes, the floor by the register and by the vending machine was dirty with footprints and smears. They weren't very busy so I think they can clean it up a bit. This place is right down the street from my school which makes it really convenient for a quick bite to eat. The service is pretty fast, staff is friendly, and for a fast food style chicken/beef bowl, it's pretty good. I actually prefer it over Flame Broiler. Love their sauces and there are plenty of tables inside. read more

Started working for primerica and this was the go to place for lunch when we had meeting's ..there teriyaki chicken bowls was what I first tried I enjoyed it! As I started being a regular customer I tried the half steak half chicken veggie bowl it came with rice steak chicken broccoli carrot and green onions so yummmy there sauce is also good..healthy meal can't beat that!!! read more

I am beyond upset with waba today. Most visit aren't too bad it's amazing food so the wait is expected however today I waited 20 mins when I arrived their wasn't but a few people before me now after however it got crowded and somehow several people who arrived after me recieve their food before me. it wasn't until I got fustrated and told then I was on a lunch break and I couldn't wait any longer. My plate had been sitting in the back and they decided to push several before it which is why I wasn't recieveing it. this lefted me with only 10 mins to eat, I am a very slow eater so you can imagen how I didn't enjoy my lunch what so ever especially because I am also sick. Waba grill is pretty good overall...pretty healthy food and quick and easy...food is pretty consistent in taste and quality. the only negative is the quantity. depending on how busy the place is and who is preparing your bowl...its a mixed bag of how much of the protein you will get... read more

Ate here tonight and it was about 7:45pm and both the steak and chicken were really dry. I think they must pre-cook the meat and then heat it again on the grill. Not going back to this location, other Waba locations have always been good. This location was cleaner than others so I give it 2 stars. read more

Got here about 8:40pm. According to the hours posted on the window, the restaurant closes at 10pm. They already had chairs on the tables and the places smelled like Pine-sol, as the guy in the back was cleaning up for the night one minute, and handling food the next. This is a turn-off for me. I try to never go to a restaurant near closing, because the food usually lacks quality in my experiences. This was the case tonight. The food was cold by the time I got home, and I live really close. Chicken pieces were cut super-small, and they were stingy with the sauce. The rice was hard and stuck together like a stiff brick. I won't come to this particular location again. read more

Bad service!! Like does your boss even know how you guys are working?!! I went in yesterday afternoon I was leaving target so I decided to grab some waba cause the food is amazing! Yesterday's visit was bad and it wasn't coming from just any employee it was coming from the manager how can you ignore a customer while your on your phone music in the back is loud I can hear it all the way in the front I went in and manager was touching her phone and then the food, not just that but playing around with the employees. Our veggies from the bowls were very soggy and the chicken tasted like the grill! Didn't even say thank you when she gave us our bowls!Bad customer service I will not be coming here again. This rating is based purely off their current situation. One week of a broken AC .. okay, understandable.... but 3+ weeks is a bit ridiculous. It's hotter inside than it is outside... stuffy and very uncomfortable. I have to take all my meals to go as it's impossible to keep an appetite when you can't breathe and are dripping in sweat. I don't really have anything bad to say about this place; I get lunch from here once in a while. But I was really disappointed today when I noticed they did something unusual than before. The green onions in my bowl were blanched! That's not what I was expecting and I wish the worker taking my order would have mentioned that they were blanched and not 'fresh' as was the norm before. I prefer my green onions to have that fresh crisp not all wet and soggy. Also, don't come here thinking the food is 'healthy' especially if it's drenched in sugary teriyaki sauce and glistening with oil. read more

The waba sauce tastes like chemicals. The chicken and meat still has fat on it sometimes it's chewy in some parts.

My wife and kids and I went to Waba Grill in July of 2105, and it was the first time we went to this location. The restaurant was very tidy and clean, both inside and out. My wife wanted something fixed on her order and a polite young lady, Jasmine, a server, fixed the issue and we were very satisfied. I also like Waba's unsweetened ice tea. Some restaurants' tea "misses the mark" in quality, but not Waba Grill's. Waba serves beef, chicken and shrimp dishes, with rice. They also have vegetables. This is maybe the fourth time I've eaten at one of their restaurants. The food is reasonable, and always good. Also, sometimes one can find Waba Grill coupons on the internet. I would highly recommend the food, even if you've never experienced Japanese cuisine. read more

They would have received 5 stars but I picked up the cookie at the front counter to see if I wanted to purchase one. As I was trying to find the ingredients, the cashier stated " O those are good, you should try one". Due to me having a severe nut allergy I noticed something else in the cookie besides chocolate chunks. I asked if those were white chocolate chips or nuts? She looked puzzled, grabbed the cookie and said "I don't know?" How do you tell a customer something is good and they should try one but don't know what's the major ingredients are? What if I would have bought one, bit into it and it was a nut? I would be in the hospital. When she said she didn't know I put the cookie back and told her she should not upsell if she was not familiar with the product because that can become a serious problem. Location on Haven next to Dickey's. I had the salmon veggie bowl. I asked for the salmon to be undercooked (usually works because some places like to overcook fish). Didn't work here. The salmon was tiny, overcooked, hard and chewy. Unfortunately I didn't have time to get another. So dry, chewy salmon for lunch. I have been to a WaBa grill in about a year and I after my experience and reading all of the reviews, I don't think I'll ever go back. I'll stick to Flame broiler. They don't serve salmon but at least the rest of their food is yummy. read more

I've come to this location a lot. The food is what you expect from Waba Grill. The service is just okay. The staff is often talking a lot in the back and when you ask for the wi-fi password they adamantly tell you it is Healthyeating but it inevitably never works. I've also been told they don't have wi-fi on one occasion. I thought it was worth mentioning because sometimes when you are on your lunch break and choose to dine-in wi-fi would be nice. read more
