I came in on a Friday at 4:00 pm, and the restaurant was nearly empty--maybe five tables occupied. Yet somehow they were already sold out of both 805 and Pacifico. On a Friday afternoon. That alone was unimpressive. I wanted the salad bar, but one look at the lettuce stopped me cold. It was brown, soggy, watery, and completely unappetizing. I wouldn't eat it--not even a few pieces. When I asked if it could be changed out, I was told it had just been changed. If that's considered acceptable, that's a serious problem. What made it worse? After I ordered, I noticed staff had come out and throw fresh lettuce on top of the old lettuce instead of replacing it. That's not okay. The pizza was the only bright spot. A little heavier on the cheese than I prefer, but the original crust flavor was still there, just like I remember. Unfortunately, the mojos didn't live up to the nostalgia. A small handful were fine, but the rest tasted like fried chips with no potato flavor. This experience stung because Shakey's has been part of my life since I was about 7 years old--one of my earliest memories...Brought my grandkids hoping to share something I loved growing up. Instead, I left disappointed. Between the poor service, the salad bar issue, and overall decline in quality, I won't be coming back anytime soon. read more

Thought Shakey's forgot about me for my birthday, but theh sent my free buffet coupon late. Late is better than not at all. They had a lot of fresh pizza on the buffet and the baked and fried chicken was good. The mojos on the other hand were hard and over cooked. Didn't taste fresh at all. The salad bar and other hot foods were good as well. The only dessert was a Oreo pizza...I only ate the top of it, because it was too much dough for my liking. The over restaurant and buffet were kept clean, so it was easy to find a table. Being that I have been a couple times before, I would still continue to visit this Shakeys. read more

I've been to this location multiple times however this time was pretty bad. The food came out probably about 30 mins after we ordered it with only 4 other patrons in there which was whatever. When it did arrive we noticed 4 slices just looked disgusting. We don't know what was on them but it wasn't dried up pepperoni and it wasn't unmelted cheese. We did not eat them. My daughter got the salad bar as well and spend most of her time in the restroom after eating it as well as all night once we returned home. Well it was kind of a drag since I typically don't have problems with this location. Our mojo's were mainly extra small and not much of them. Oh well. My daughter was so upset she asked me to write the review to let other patrons be aware they might get food poisoning. She also said the cashier was rude. I thought the young girl that served us our food was sweet however. The place was pretty empty but as we were leaving some rowdy patrons arrived demanding a sports game be put on that wasn't already playing. The Dodgers were when we were dining. read more

We had never had the Shakey's here in Rancho Cucamonga and decided to try it out. Upon entering, the restaurant is actually pretty nice looking. It has more of a relaxed atmosphere great for families and everything was pretty clean. We had ordered the lunch buffet which I believe $16.99 a person on the weekends, not including a beverage. Personally, I wasn't a fan of the food. The pizza just wasn't my favorite, but the chicken was decent. It just felt like everything was fried. The salad bar is available as well, I just didn't feel the salad was very fresh. As for the service, it was wonderful. Everyone was very friendly and would come frequently to clean the tables. They did a great job! Overall, Shakey's had a great atmosphere for families and the service is good, the food just wasn't for me! read more

Big dining area and a small bar on the other side plus arcade/game area for kids to play. I absolutely love their fried chicken and famous Mojo's they're so good! The pizza is okay, pizza sauce has a sweet taste not to my style but it was still good. They stack the plates for you to take while they are wet. The pizza is horrible, trash. $77 dollars for me, the wife, and 3 kids. The display cases in the "game room" are about to break apart. We ordered through Uber Eats for pickup, and the app indicated the order would be ready by 7:17 PM. My partner arrived around 7:20 PM and was told the order wasn't ready. About five minutes later, he texted me saying the staff informed him the order hadn't gone through and that it was an Uber issue. Due to the inconvenience, I called the store and spoke with the manager. She explained they recently implemented a new system and that while the order showed on the front end, it was not appearing in the back. Unfortunately, there didn't seem to be much accountability taken for the situation. I mentioned that moving forward, a better process should be in place to avoid similar issues. The manager did offer us free mojos for the inconvenience, which was appreciated. As a manager myself, I believe customer service is extremely important, and when mistakes happen, accountability goes a long way. I also expressed concern about the pizza being rushed and potentially affecting quality, but she reassured me that it was not. In the end, the pizza was delicious. The mojos were just okay, though I may be biased since they're not my favorite. This location is my preferred Shakey's location in the Inland Empire. It is located very close to the Victoria Gardens shopping center. This location also has plenty of parking. I love their lunch buffet which operates daily from 11am-2pm. This location not only offers the usual pizza, pasta, salad, mojo potatoes, and fried chicken, but they also offer unique items like the dessert pizza. Their dessert pizza is normally an Oreo cookie based pizza. You can also ask the staff to bake a custom pizza during the lunch buffet and they will cook it custom for you and add it to the buffet lineup. The back area can get very loud sometimes because of the reserved party section seating and the gaming area but this location offers plenty of quieter seating as well. Towards the front of the restaurant they have a few tables that are away from the gaming area and a few booths also away from the gaming area. The front also has a bar area with seating. read more

Although the mojos taste different from back in the day, you still can't beat the lunch buffet. They even had the buffet on Sunday! Service was great. They came around and picked up used plates. Clean plates were always available and food was never out. The arcade area is a good size and you're able to keep an eye on the kids. After grabbing my food, I ran into Aaron, who was keeping the place super clean. Since I was dining solo, I asked for a quieter spot and he recommended the bar--great call! It was peaceful, had a TV, and I couldn't hear the kids in the game room at all. I also chatted with Hannah while I was eating, and she was so kind. I mentioned I was a little worried about the buffet ending at 2 (it was already 1:45), but she reassured me that I had plenty of time to enjoy my meal and even grab more if I wanted. What really impressed me was how attentive and hardworking the staff were. The place was spotless and well-organized the whole time I was there. If I could give more than 5 stars, I would.
