On the evening of March 2nd, 2026, I had an extremely disappointing experience at Waba Grill. The service was terrible & the girls at the register were very rude. To make matters worse, I found not one, but TWO hairs in my food. It was absolutely disgusting and completely ruined my meal. When you go out to eat, basic cleanliness and decent service should be the bare minimum. Unfortunately, this place failed on both. I left feeling frustrated and grossed out. They got new machines where you do everything yourself. There are no abilities to enter any deals in the machines at all. I waited for help and the lady took my order. There was sketchy homeless people lurking all around the store walking up to women and yelling at them. I finally got my food and tried to use the magic sauce pump. There was no magic sauce pump anymore. I asked where's the pump and she said we don't have one right now. (Obviously) I said are you going to get one back? She said maybe tomorrow so you can use the packets. Kids running all over screaming and nowhere to wait for your food. The pickup line, the ordering line and waiting line are all in the same spot. I just started with the whole Waba experience. Went to this location and I was not impressed as I have been. Rice was clumped & Chicken all white was over cooked & This is my normal order when I order. The cashier had great customer service though. I wish I would have looked at my bowl before I made it back to work. This Waba needs to correctly measure that rice cooker & have someone better on the chicken and preparation. I've been eating Waba Grill for over 10 years but this trip was different. First, they had no white rice, but I decided to give the brown rice a chance. Then my bowl came and it had the teeniest amount of steak imaginable. I asked for a refund and when asked "why" I explained how it wasn't enough meat in the bowl for $11.63. I eat WaBa grill daily i add points to my account by scanning the receipt. Was forced to use the kiosks (hate using those) and the machine didnt even print out a receipt. Told the staff can you print out a receipt for me so I can get the points. They kept saying put your phone number in as if I didn't already order and ask him for a receipt. Overall: 2-3 stars. Taste: 2-3 stars depending on how simple and bland you like your teriyaki chicken with rice. We ordered the Family Chicken Teriyaki Meal and the broccoli/carrots/cabbage were just steamed and there was no flavor. The teriyaki chicken with the Waba sauce they had drizzled over it was just meh. Yoshinoya tasted better but then again, if you've just come out from a workout at the gym across the parking lot, then I guess it's better to not put back all those calories you've just burned. I had to use a lot of hot sauce. The pickled carrots/jalapeño (next to the condiments) helped flavor each bite a bit. Price: 4 stars if you get a deal through Groupon, LocalFlavor, or their 2 for $11.99 bowls. (Btw, their deal certificates must be used on regular priced items, makes sense.) I've always loved and supported Waba Grill locations as well as this location. Let me give you three reasons why after tonights experience I've decided that I will no longer support Waba Grill. First, I was excited to be there tonight yet when I walked in- the cashier looked miserable. I didn't get no kind of greeting. I mean I don't need a lot but at least greet us by saying HOW CAN I HELP YOU? Instead all we got was a dead stare. Secondly, the wait for me was long. 45mins the most. I thought maybe these customer's orders were placed before me. But no. So many customers were passing me up. There was a bag left on the counter so the lady calling out the numbers looked at me and said this bag must be yours. I knew it was wrong because I ordered 2 waba bowls and a bowl of dumplings and all I seen was one bowl. It ended up belonging to someone that just walked in. I was fed up at this point. I showed her my receipt so she looked at the cashier upset and tried to rush and finish up my order. And my third reason why I will not support Waba Grill was when I finally hear my order is complete. The cashier still had a miserable face and hands me my bag. I didn't even get a "SORRY" for her mistake. This location really needs to hire a new cashier that appreciate working for Waba Grill. Her attitude sucks! I was literally happy when I walked in and upset when I walked out. NEVER AGAIN The cashier that I had to experience tonight-really needs some help on customer service and communication skill with the cook. I will not support this kind of service. read more

So I just moved back here from Washington and out there, there is no waba grill and I remembered loving it! I was rather disappointed! The flavor wasn't the small. The rice was hard and tasted old. He was stationed at a table by the front door and approached everyone in the place. I thought the manager or staff member would ask him to leave. Quite the opposite. They were talking with him and joking. I guess this is a franchise so they can do what they say want. But, it makes customers feel uneasy as they enter the business.
