Hands down best pizza in this town....not only are the slices great but their entrees are just as great. For a little pizza place you wouldnt expect such good entrees and even appetizers. They should defintely think about expanding so that they can offer more seating. Only a few booths and a small high top bar. Although I have never had to wait for an open booth, this place would really benefit from a dining area. You can pick up, or even have the food delivered. WR Pizza has catered 2 family parties and both times the food was awesome. Not one complaint. They come to your house at the time you specify and set everything up for you. RUDE &DISHONEST There computers don't work. They swiped my card three times -didn't work so I paid cash. Next day, turns out my account was charged three times! So one $14 pizza cost me $56- figured no biggie and called them. Said they remembered me and would call me "right" back. Never called. So this is a source of contention within my family, fiance and I are lovers of WRP, my parents love La Bistro. WRP pizza to me has a more friendly staff (although the guys have always been very nice in La Bistro) who don't make my feel like an idiot for standing in front of the pizza case for 20 mins trying to decide only to wind up going with a usual slice. Its thin and crispy and the quality of the ingredients are fresh. After living upstate for 5 years I will never EVER complain about the price of pizza down here because I have missed it so much. Seriously, I would mortgage my house for good pizza. Fiance loved the white slices and I love the buffalo chicken. They have a nice space to sit down in and its clean inside. Just moved from the west coast to Bellport. I heard NY pizza is the best.and I was in the area. Wading River pizza does not disappoint! The first day I had the Mac n Cheese pizza (who doesn't love mac n cheese) and a basic cheese pizza. The sauce they used for the cheese pizza was unbelievably good!! I legit came back the next day because I couldn't get it off my mind. The sauce you can tell is fresh and sweet! They have plenty of other wonderful pies like the chipotle chicken (also fantastic) and you can tell the staff enjoys working there. On our way back from apple picking we decided to stop here and grab a few slices. I had pepperoni and a sicilian slice, my wife had a veggie slice and my son a regular. First time here and it was fantastic. Giant regular slices and lots of interesting special slices. I had a caprese slice with two thick slices of fresh mozzarella, thick slices of tomato, drizzled with balsamic with diced roasted peppers on top. So yummy. Everything served on real plates. I just went to the new wading River pizzeria with my family last night. The food was delicious. The service was excellent. Very fairly priced and very clean environment. Before you read the rest...go across the street to La Bistro (It's much better)....and NO, I don't have any affiliation with La Bistro other than knowing that their food is far superior. I'll start by saying that I used to go to WR Pizza a lot more a few year back but something happened there over the last year or so where the quality of the food has REALLY taken a dive. The last two chicken parm heroes I ordered from here had pieces of chicken that literally had the texture of a piece of rubber. It also had little to no sauce on it. I had to throw one of them out completely. It was inedible. Also, be careful when ordering take out. They have a tendency of messing up your order or they'll give you what you ordered but alter it in a way that really messes it up (like adding mushrooms or spinach to something that the menu stated otherwise). I really liked it here and it's really a shame that the quality has tanked. I'm already passed the "let's give them one more chance" stage. I'm officially done!! read more

While visiting my sister in Shoreham NY I found myself craving a slice of real NY pizza. She recommended Wading River Pizza and do I took a drive. What I sought was the pizza I once bought for a quarter per slice as a kid. At Wading River I ordered a slice of pizza, plain. The polite young man behind the counter accommodated me. The slice was everything I hoped for. Tasty, crisp, with all the right flavors. There was even a little drop of oil in the plate that I noticed when done. The place has many varieties of pizza. Most employees were wearing masks that covered their mouth only, and not their nose. The owner wore his around his neck. Neither of these are acceptable or proper ways to wear the mask. When I asked one employee to ask another to put her mask on, his response was: "I'm not the owner." Perhaps not, but you are a representative of an establishment, and it is incumbent upon you to insist that you and your colleagues follow the state mandate to ensure the safety of each one of yourselves and your customers. I had two chicken franchise dinners delivered to my house . Absolutely terrible ! I ordered it with mozzarella cheese and they did not have any cheese. The menu says it comes with garlic knots . No garlic knots . The chicken was so plain that it was like they never heard of chicken franchise . It was so bad I got in my car and drove them back and asked for my money back . When I arrived at there establishment there was not one person that appeared to over the age of nineteen . As they refunded my money I told the young man that the driver can keep the ten dollar tip I had given him .a previous driver told me that he only gets paid five dollars an hour and had to pay for his own gas . It might be my favorite pizza ever. There is always about 25 different types of pies to choose from but I always get the sicilian, it's always fresh and doesnt taste dry like most sicilian. I wanted to try the food here after reading some of the overly positive reviews which I am suspicious of now. I figured I couldn't go wrong with a chicken parmigiana hero for lunch. But, what they served me was a sandwich with a very thin and dried up fried chicken filet cut up into bits. They were stingy with the tomato sauce also, so that just added to its dry texture. I have given this place several chances, and after this last one I am completely done with them. They have way too much competition in the area to be as bad-mannered as they are. They can never keep their staff because the management is so rude and arrogant towards his clientele that I can imagine they are worse to their staff. I work in customer service and I understand people can aggravate you. I am nice every time I call, and by the end of this LAST call I was not. I spoke to three different people who all gave me different answers about something so simple as the lunch special. The person who took my order got everything wrong. I asked her to confirm my order, and changed whatever error was made. The food still came wrong and missing things. I am gluten free. I made sure that the gluten free order was put in properly. They breaded my chicken and gave me gluten free pasta. They advertise for gluten free, and know nothing about it. Even when you are very clear, they get the order wrong. Every time. I have ordered from them a handful of times, and not once did they give me the right order. On top of it, they huff and puff like it's your fault for them making the error. It's frustrating. They need to have more respect for their clients... And hopefully their staff so they can keep them and teach them how their business works. Every time I go in there, there are new faces. Not being able to keep your employees says something big about your pizza place. I just can't stand the incompetence of the staff and the arrogance of the management.
