She said the tuna was very good. (Not as good as she usually gets when we are visiting on the Gulf. Of Mexico.) I had Oysters Rockefeller which were excellent- large and tasty with plenty of cheese and spinach. I also had the Georgia Trout which was very tasty. Our server was prompt and helpful with selections. $90 for dinner for 2. No alcohol. Probably will return when we are in the mood for seafood.

What are you gonna do? Grandson ate all his burger, which doesn't always happen at all places. The prices were fair but weren't quite as low as some reviews led us to expect. And we skipped ice cream for same reason. Curiously, a man with a large dog on leash kept coming & leaving for refills or something. Grabbed a quick cocktail before our friends showed up. Good cocktails and service at the bar. Sometimes restaurants have an issue dealing with large groups. The waitress was fantastic and got us through the dinner without any issues and great service. They did put a 20% tip automatically on the bill but I have no issue with that. One thing that stands out is the owner's pride in the establishment and their willingness to personally check in with guests, which adds a welcoming touch to the dining experience. But it was mostly out of season fruit so not sweet and still underripe. Biscuit was light and fluffy but I had to order a piece of cheese and some gravy to hide the flavor of the meat and coating. Chicken and waffles - husband's favorite here but today it wasn't the same at all. Chicken was super dry inside. Waffles he described as no different than ones he makes at the hotel lobby.
