It has been a minute since I was able to grace the doors of the Hallowed House for some greasy diner food that hits the spot. Bright. Clean. It was quiet and the staff were super friendly. It's a Waffle House and this one has been in existence for 20 plus years---that said, when you walk in and dine in I don't feel I am in an establishment when I am wearing grease so it's a location I am more than happy to return to albeit not as often as I have done because there is a newer and close Waffle House to me at this time. But this location has always been efficient and quick (for a Waffle House) in both the providing of the food and the staff's politeness and professionalism. 12/28/23 My Mom had died just an hour before visiting this location. Larry was my waiter. I had to come home to an empty house and although I only had hashbrowns I just wanted to be around people. Larry was nice and I felt like leaving a nice tip. The hashbrowns were great. Thanks! read more

This one is located on Airline Highway before you get to the Costco and is located right next to a pawn shop...Damn as I'm writing this I just realized I've never visited the pawn shop next door I'll have to correct that next visit... I've stopped in twice and both times had fast friendly service and a cook working the grill that knocks out my order with speed... Food and coffee have always been tasty and satisfied my hunger... you find yourself hungry on Airline Highway between the Mercedes dealership and Costco stop into WaHo and get your grub on... read more

I stopped off here after work this morning prepared to pick up food for myself and my so. The waffles were absolutely disgusting and inedible. The service here is amazing, but the building needs to be a lot cleaner. As I was sitting along the window, there were tons of dead flies on the window seal and on the floor. The floor was very sticky and just overall it needs a thorough cleaning. read more

It's Waffle House! It's cheap, hot and so dang good. I ordered the 2 egg breakfast with bacon. So delicious! Our waitress was very attentive and filled our drinks often. This was my first time at this location. A few of the employees were loud. I think one was even talking to her children on speakerphone in a different language. But, it's Waffle House! I expect this. Decided to give it another try today. Wished I hadn't wasted the time. 8am, 6 employees and the place still has dirty tables and everything is sticky. The menu stuck to my fingers and the syrup bottle was coated in syrup. What the staff lacked in attention for their business they more than made up for watching some program and you tube on a phone. I do love the WH and I've come here for the last couple years (off and on again) as a 'pay-day' treat for breakfast. Most of that time it's been a great experience. However, in the the last three months or so, the attention to detail , and overall service, have slacked. My order has been wrong/not what I ordered AND once my 'wrong' food arrives, nobody comes by to check my status or if I need a coffee refill. I ended up paying for just my coffee, the waitress got her manager, who didn't ask what I ordered or what was wrong, just 'change the ticket and get him going'....? Yesterday 10/19/2023 my mother and I went to this location after I took her to her Dr. appt. My mom is 86. As we began walking in all we heard was LOUD LOUD music. Once we we in and got to the table, the waitress started talking but we couldn't hear what she was saying. I asked her could she turn the music down and she said no because people paid for that. WHAT!! I NEVER HEARD OF SOMETHING SO CRAZY. I WAS ACTUALLY SCREAMING for the little amount of time I was speaking to her. So I began helping my mom back up because she uses a walker to get around. We made it almost to the car when another young lady can to the window that they uses for pickup orders and asked what's wrong? I told her and she said they have a remote to turn it down and who told us that. She told us to come back, so we did. Again getting to the door it was still so LOUD. My mom looked at me like it's still so loud. We turned around and left. She loves Waffle house. The one we takes her to was on the other side of town so we stopped there because it was so close. We went to I Hop. Everything was great there but she prefer Waffle House. Today I will be taking her to her Waffle house. Never again will we go there. read more

Love coming to this location! The staff are very friendly and welcoming. I typically get a waffle or hashbrowns etc. However since today was pie day and I had a coupon for a free pie I decided to take advantage. Waffle house offers apple,pecan, and chocolate moose. I decided to try the chocolate moose. It was a a nice soft chocolate pie crust with a chocolate pudding layer then topped with whipped cream and some sort of pie crust topping. Walked in for breakfast this morning and we sat for 5 minutes and no one acknowledged that we existed. Plus the place was dirty. The grill looked like it hasn't been cleaned in years. And the service...horrible. Like I don't mean that we didn't get coffee or water, I mean no one said a single word to us! We were sitting at the bar where all of the workers have to pass. Possibly the worst service that we have ever received at a Waffle House. We came in around 3 am and got a seat. There were no other people dining in at the time. Just one guy hitting on the waitresses. Loud profane bounce music playing over the radio. We weren't offended by it or anything but I thought it to be very unprofessional. A waitress hurriedly comes to the table and asks for our order. One all star and a pork chop and eggs. We were clear on stating that we wanted our eggs runny. The coffee I was brought tasted like it was many hours old. We were brought our hash browns and eggs. The eggs were over cooked and I'm still confused as to why our whole meal wasn't brought out at one time instead of spread out allowing things to get cold. We asked for different eggs. Eventually, the pork chops came out. Then one re done egg. I asked where the other eggs were and the waitress said that only one was sent back. I asked again for my eggs to be redone. I then asked if I was going to get my waffle. Come to find out, it was completely forgotten. Still we are the only dine in customers at this time. There is only a take out order besides us. We finally got the correct eggs and just got our order to go since my woman was getting pretty upset with the waitress. On our way out we get the cook giving us a stare like we were in the wrong when it was he who didn't know how to cook an egg to order. It's not like Waffle House is a place that you expect first class service at but this was pathetic. We will drive a little further to another WH next time we have the urge to go. read more

Excellent food! The cook was amazing! My eggs were absolutely perfect and I'm a little picky about how I order my eggs! Hash browns were great! Crispy on the outside with excellent flavor. When I go to any restaurant there are three basic things that I want. 1. I want adequate service. The more I am paying for the experience of dining out, the higher that standard is. At this waffle house, I am always greeted when I walk in the door. My order is taken without waiting. The servers have always been at least polite but more often quite friendly. Coffee refills timely. Also, the servers are RIGHT THERE! If I want to get someone's attention it takes very little effort. 2. I want the place to be clean. I think in general Waffle Houses get a bad rap for cleanliness. I think this is because it is one of the few places you actually see the whole kitchen. Nothing is hidden. I think if people could tour the kitchens of their favorite restaurants they would be surprised at how "clean" this kitchen is compared to the ones that are hidden from Paton's. A+ on cleanliness. 3. I want to like the food. When I want a waffle, this place is perfect. I like my waffle dark. When I ask for it dark, I get it dark. I like the cheese and eggs. My bill is pretty much always under $10. I think it was $12 once when I was super hungry. Quality and value A+. Add to that the diner atmosphere and I am enjoying myself... I don't expect much from late night diners. Just halfway ok service and food that's edible. Been here a few times over the last couple months and I have to say, I'm done with this crap. It seems to take an act of god for the wait staff to take your order here. I'm normally quite patient but, if I'm the only customer and I've been waiting for over 10 minuets before you take my order that's a red flag. I normally order one of the breakfast specials and ever time something has been missing from my order. Also every time I have had to have my bill corrected because I will get charged extra for things already included in the special or for a drink when I ordered water. They tried to charge me 3$ for toast when its already part of the meal. last time was the final straw, most of my order was never brought out and they tried to charge me 20$ for 2 eggs toast plain hash browns and water. Even if they had brought out the rest of my food it would not have been anywhere near that price. So, in short. Don't eat at this waffle house and if you find yourself here check your bill before you pay. read more
