The Worst Waffle House Experience Ever! I eat out for breakfast often, but this visit was absolutely the worst--and I'll never step foot in this location again. The so-called manager, Tariq, clearly didn't care about the food or the customer. I asked for well-done bacon (not burnt) multiple times, and every single time, he brought me back uncooked bacon. First, they served me eggs and toast--with no jelly. Six minutes later, I got a plate with uncooked bacon and an undercooked waffle. Had to send it back. Eggs just sat on the side while I waited another 8 minutes for a replacement waffle. When it finally came, the bacon was now burnt. Twenty minutes in, and still no jelly. Now my eggs are cold, the waffle is warm, and there's still no bacon in sight. Tariq claimed he'd "take the bacon off" and "accommodate" me, but all he did was make me feel like I was the problem for expecting a decent meal. To top it all off--the restroom was filthy. Our day started in Biloxi MS, and now we are almost home. Benbrook is the last place with a late night, i.e. very early morning, food option before we get home... And we are hungry. Thuy's craving a waffle. I'm craving a patty melt. Thuy wants a hot water, and our server, Tyler, looks over to a man that I assume is the manager. Asks him if, "Do we do hot water?" The manager shakes his head, "No." Oh well. A regular glass of water then. I thought maybe they don't want to wash a cup, but they are going to wash a glass now, so what was the deal? I was wanting a waffle and didn't want to drive to Fort Worth for IHOP. When I walked in I noticed every counter top was dirty and had dirty dishes on it. I went to the far side and sat down and waitress cleaned off counter (well wiped it off anyway-wasn't very clean). My knife was dirty so I asked for another one which I got. Then I looked into the food prep area and the floor was filthy. Big trash bag sitting in middle of the floor and floor was disgusting. Waitress almost tripped over the trash bag. There was plenty of opportunity for someone to take 2 minutes to sweep the floor. Even the cook stopped and said "it looks like a bomb went off in here" and kept on moving. Wanted breakfast for dinner but didn't want to cook so I opted for WH. I had not been to any location for over twenty years. Hoping it would be as good as remembered, I was not disappointed. They currently have a limited menu so I couldn't get the country ham. I did get the two egg breakfast, eggs soft scrambled, with ham and double hash browns. The eggs were cooked perfectly, ham was smokey and sweet, hash browns were crispy outside and soft inside. Their coffee is great. Service was excellent. My best friends visited and we had a great Fort Worth weekend. We wanted to avoid dressing up or eating a fancy brunch when Sunday rolled around. They were curious about Benbrook and just wanted a no-frills breakfast with the locals. Waffle House was the best choice. For one, the menu offers a variety of options, but it's a small menu, just the classics. We chose the classic eggs, toast, and grits breakfast. What sets this Waffle House apart is the staff's quality service, polite guests, and great music from the jukebox in the corner. When we arrived at 9 AM, Hozier's Take Me To Church was on, and by the time we left, the staff DJs had run through Anita Baker, Queen, and The Commodores. Fortunately, our bill came when the kid in the corner played Barbie Girl. There is ample parking at The Waffle House, but the restaurant is small, so when you get there, sit down at one of the stools and wait for the staff to greet you and put you on the list. Our waitress (a pink haired girl) is the worst I've ever had at the Benbrook location. Went there this afternoon around 2pm, and it was completely empty except for one lady drinking coffee. We ordered both our drinks and food at the same time and.... the waitress mostly just leaned against the counter until the food was done about 15 minutes later. Didn't bother bringing us our drinks or checking in with us. One other family of three came in within that time, so it's not like they got busy. Once the food arrived, we still had no utensils, no drinks, nothing. We had to ask several times for all of those things. Somehow the waffles were already cold, and we also had to ask for the syrup. I didn't bother asking for straws, just got up and grabbed them myself. After she brought all of those things, she ignored us again, so we had to get up and ask at the cash register for our bill and to go dishes. Still only a couple of other people in the Waffle House. Hopefully you can train the pink haired girl not to space out/stop being lazy. I can't imagine her tips being any good unless she only treats certain customers like this. To be fair, the other two employees never looked in our direction to see if we needed anything either or to ask her to do her job. We used to go to this location about once a month, but if I walk in again and see her there, I'm turning around and eating somewhere else. read more

On a rainy afternoon, we strolled into Waffle House looking to fulfill our hunger. Little did we know that we would be crying on the toilet hours later. We ordered two all star specials with bacon and hash browns with orange juices. There was hair in the orange juice and we were still charged for it. The hair was only the beginning however. Before he gave us our food, the server rubbed his mits all over our silverware. The service was ok overall but the food had our stomachs doing backflips. Do not recommend Waffle House unless you have good pipes or a trusted plumber. And by good pipes I do mean you're intestinal track but also you know A plumber. This is by far, THE BEST Waffle House! Of course the food is perfect every time but, the staff is what makes it!! It's pretty much the same ladies/men working that have been here for years (barely a turn over in staff). One thing that I find impressive is the fact they're always cleaning! The lead (Lisa) is constantly checking the temperature of the food and refrigerator to make sure everything is right! We usually come in the mornings but the evening staff is pretty pleasant too. No one acknowledged our presence even though there were only 2 other patrons sitting at the low tables. I wondered why there were only 2 cars in the lot at 7:30 pm.
