I think this area gets a bad rap but then there are people who reinforce the stereotypes of bad customer service in urban areas. Lawanda is one of those people. Just rude. Really really rude. Doesn't greet customers as they enter as is the Waffle House way, skips over customers in a seemingly discriminatory way even when the skipped customer speaks up and again is just rude. I know it's hard to find good help but I really do hope this location can find people like Earl instead of people like Lawanda. read more

I would recommend this Waffle House if you are staying in the area or leaving a nearby bar. Dine in has closed during late hours due to nonsense in the area but available for takeout. Large parking lot with other businesses and stores. Area can be a bit sketchy at night. The best part is getting my food and leaving. Also wishing striking distance of the airport. read more

After standing at the to-go ordering station and having the attendees look right at me and continued laughing and talking as if I wasn't there, I eventually just left and never got a chance to place an order. It was not busy enough to be ignored. Also, you would think that since the cook line is in eye view for the ordering station that it would be cleaner. The cook line floor was filthy. I've only ordered take out, and hopefully, I won't jinx myself by saying that all my takeout experiences have been pleasant. Twice I've called in and within 2-3 minutes of arriving my food had was packaged and arrived. Once I ordered a double cheeseburger and ended up with two separate burgers, the lady told me that I ordered it incorrectly and if I want two burgers on one bun that I'm suppose to ask for it differently, I totally forgot how she told me to order it, but geez, isn't it sorta self-explanatory that a double cheeseburger is two burgers stacked together. Once I walked in and ordered at the counter, it was about 8am and I commented that I must have just missed the morning dash, by the time my food was prepared and package to go, there were people sitting at four booths, and at least 3 other people waiting for the call out / pick up orders. I feel that what you get from Waffle House is pretty standard. This location is just extremely unprofessional and frankly ghetto.. I pulled up a little after 12:30 am to order to go. There was already one car there waiting, as I got out I asked the passengers of the other vehicle if it was closed and the driver advised that they were waiting for the employees to finish their break.. I looked over to the side of the restaurant and one employee was sitting down smoking a cigarette.. I asked if he planned to go back to work anytime soon and he responded "when I feel like it".. after a couple seconds went by he responded with "l'm waiting on my server to come back" As I looked around the parking lot I realized that the server he was referring to was in the back of the parking lot standing at a vehicle having a full blown argument with the driver. Eventually 2-3 more cars pulled up, waited and left. At about 1:05 the cook came from the side of the restaurant and told us "my server said she's taking a nap". Both me and the driver of the other vehicle placed an order with him and told him we would just tip him for his time.. I did appreciate his effort at that point but overall experience wasn't that great, even for a Waffle House. read more

Nice and clean WH, best I've seen in a long, long time. There's no high up WH sign for this location. We almost passed it looking for the sign among the tall trees. Service was great, and so was the food. Coffee was what I needed. Always great coffee at WH! This WH is not too far from the ATL airport. Blueberry Waffles are back!! at Waffle House on Riverdale rd.! I was so upset when they no longer offered them but the season has returned where you can now order one for pickup or delivery! And don't stop at the waffle. Their all star breakfast comes with any breakfast food you could want (they even offer turkey bacon!) Can't visit GA and not hit a Waffle House. We got hungry on the road and pulled off at sight of the first Waffle House sign we saw (can't miss that big, yellow signature sign lol). This location is the tiniest we've visited. There were about 5-6 booths and a counter. The floors were filthy (typical of Waffle House's), but these floors were we-haven't-been-cleaned-in-a-good-minute, dirty. Food prep stations weren't hadn't been wiped up. Waffle Houses are busy with non-stop foot traffic, but I there was no wipe down of the cooking/prep areas while we dined. A third of my pecan waffle was undercooked. My husbands was slightly undercooked as well. Nonetheless we took them down fast lol, in a hurry and had to get back on the road. Hash browns were good, we added smothered onions and jalapeño peppers for a kick. Two stars for friendliness of the staff, good waffle despite being undercooked. I had to be harsh on my stars due to the cleanliness of the restaurant. If we had time we would have gone somewhere else, it was unnecessarily nasty. read more

Devon you have to slow down honey. His greeting was nonexistent, he didn't ask what we wanted to drink and he walked up to take our orders without saying a word. He served me 1/2 of the allstar and left my waffle to burn. I typically like my breakfast complete not my waffle too soon or too late. Before we even started eating he shoved the ticket in our face not asking if we were together or separate, very rude. We waited another 10minutes standing at the register waiting to get cashed out. This is the worst place I have been in Atlanta. I only went to the Waffle House because everyone said you have to taste this food it is so good. I am from California and will never tell anyone to eat here. The pork chops were dry and tasted like they were almost spoiled so a waste of money trashed it because was heading to airport but to top it off they forget my salad, my daughters food was called a special something and the sausage was old and the hash browns that are supposed to be homemade were horrible. The toast was burnt as well as the biscuits. I would not take a homeless person here to eat that's how bad the food was. A shame I came from California and spent $40 bucks on some food that made your tastebuds all out of whack because the food left a bad taste in your mouth. Its a pretty standard waffle house. Staff is friendy and FAST!!!! as the other reviewer stated, the waffles aren't mind-blowing, just standard fast food.
