A fresh re made chicken cheese sandwich because no one listens to you when you say no bacon 4 times

I come here often. But today was extra trash. The staff is always mean but the food is way better than the other location. I mean it's waffle house. Its what you expect. Not only did I tell that woman with the black eye three times a chicken and cheese sandwich add lettuce and tomato. Never said the texas chicken deluxe. She ordered the food with bacon. I told her again no bacon. She asked you don't want bacon. Said yeah. Lol what you think I got. Well that's cuz homie on the grill on FaceTime and they going thru the playlist. Well when remaking the food. We were told that we must let our other meal get cold while we wait. Oh and the chicken sucks. I'll stick to my meal i normally get.

This one always stays crowded but, this was a great time to come here... The food is good especially when you want breakfast instead of lunch here... But when you're in a hurry, and don't want to eat breakfast from a fast food place, this is an good place to be...

Waffle House is my favorite 24/7 breakfast place on the East Coast. I can count on two things here: 1. Good service. 2. Good waffles and custom hash browns. This Columbia area Waffle House met those expectations. Went here on a Sunday Morning before the after church lunch rush. Immediately greeted with tat friendly Southern Hospitality. Our waitress sat my friend and I at the counter. Got us our coffee and placed our order. My go to comfort food here is a pecan waffle and hash browns. Golden brown and soaks up the butter and syrup, making it really delicious on each bite. Hash browns custom made to your taste. I enjoy a large serving Covered, Smothered, and Peppered. Covered with melted cheese, Smothered with sautéed onions, and peppered with spicy jalapeños. Glad I orders the large and not the Triple. It was just enough. If you walk away hungry you're doing it wrong. Service was excellent! Our waitress sensed that weren't from Columbia so she made us feel welcome. Had a good conversation about the city and how good of a time we were having. I would rate most chain restaurants a 4 but this day the experience was a 5. Or maybe I feel this way because I spent the past week doing Army training and this is so much better. Eh who knows. Cover and smother your day with Waffle House deliciousness.

This is one of the nicest, cleanest, most well-organized WHs I have been to in a long time. Our server named Honesty was delightful.

I love Waffle House but they have a walk up window now and the doors are locked. It says 24 hours but it is not.

Pawleys Front Porch is a dive bar, and has been featured on an episode of Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives. We arrived about 15 minutes after they opened, and were the first to arrive. Even after us being in the restaurant for an hour, only two other parties arrived to dine. It honestly felt like a ghost town, and hope that it is not like this every day. Their fried pickles are actually pretty good! They are crispy, hot, and have a good dill taste (good pickles). The chicken tenders are good! They aren't frozen, are crispy, and have good taste. The burger was supposed to come with a pretzel bun, but apparently they haven't had a pretzel bun in three years lol. Why is it still on the menu? We don't know. His burger was a bit overcooked and toppings weren't quite as high quality as last time. Our server was wonderful, and constantly came around to refill our drinks and get us anything we need. It did take a bit of a long time for our food to come out, but that's alright. As long as the food is good we don't mind. We hope to see the restaurant return back to how good it used to be!

We waited an hour or more because they said there was only one cook. We got our burgers (ordered medium) and they were completely overcooked. I wondered if mine was even beef. I stabbed the meat with my plastic knife and lifted the whole rock solid patty puck. Cocktail was decent and they stock Fever Tree ginger beer so stay with the cocktails.

My friends had a similar impression of their meals, stating that they were "fine", but didn't really "hit the spot" per se. I also got a plain bagel and a side of bacon, which I can definitively say were below average, and simply not very good. As for the ambiance, it was pretty basic, but enjoyable nonetheless. I liked the thematic artwork on the walls, which displayed pancakes and other breakfast items without coming across as goofy or silly. In addition, I loved how the menu had a section titled "What are Pancakes?", which detailed the history of pancakes and the restaurant as a whole, which I thought was a nice little touch. I also loved their old-fashioned coffee mugs, which are difficult to find these days, despite their higher level of quality and effectiveness. Finally, our server was sweet and did a pretty good job of checking up on us. Overall, I'd say that the Original Pancake House was pretty average and wasn't really anything better than I could've gotten at a chain restaurant like Waffle House or Denny's. I may come back in the future, but I wouldn't make it a priority, nor would it be at the top of my list.
