One of the best serviced waffle houses i have ever been too. The waitresses were all on top of it, even the manager was helping do everything. At one point I even heard him say he was leaving and stopped and was checking out customers for another 10-15 minutes. He was still there when we left and that just shows so much overall on team work from the outside and true leadership. Again this was one of the best waffle house experiences I've had. Typical Waffle House. I can always count on a steak hash brown bowl & cheesy grits, and my friend can always count on a pecan waffle, raisin toast, and OJ. It's not fine dining, obviously, but it's consistent, quick, and cheap. And the staff was super friendly. read more

I absolutely hate going places where I feel like the servers are racist. First off no one spoke when I walked in. Once I sat, I waited, no server came to my table. Other guesy came in shortly after me and were happily greeted, they sat down and a sever asked them what they would like to drink. I then asked a server was there service on my side and she said my server was in the bathroom. She eventually took my order. My server eventually came out in time to run my food. Once finished eating, I'm standing at the register and no one comes to me then!! Then a server asked another server was a ready to check out. What would I be my other reason for standing there! I hate to feel singled out and i especially hate bad customer service! To be the only black person in an establishment and feel like how I felt in 2024 is disheartening. First timer at this location, and it was amazing. Our waitress Annette was a prime example of what every waiter/waitress should be like. Her attitude and attentiveness was beyond the charts. The men working the stoves are quick and get on things right away while listening to additional orders. Waitresses are nice and welcoming with a good morning as you walk in. The restaurant is clean and tidy. Food is typical of a Waffle House. Good comfort diner food. Listening to the talk between employees is funny while the men make jokes and the ladies have a funny come back. I never saw the bottom of my coffee cup. Coffee was always hot. The most inconsistent food and service in Gulf Breeze. I've gotten burnt bacon and crunchy waffles here some visits and others had bacon so undercooked it was inedible. The staff are unfriendly and had their phones out last time I visited. Wouldn't recommend this location to anyone. read more

Waffle house can be hit or miss but when you see a bently parked outside it is usually a good indication that it is a good one. The service was exceptional for waffle house and quick. Let's make this short and sweet. I'm a fan of WaHo. I like the Americana feel to it, the comfort food, and the straight forward simplicity of it all. Saying that, I've been to average Waffle Houses, and then I've been to amazing ones. This one was the latter. Food: Simply amazing. I came in the evening and the diner was empty. My boys ordered waffles and their sides. I ordered the double cheese and hashbrowns done my way. The young man that was cooking was meticulous in the food prep. Everything was perfect. Yummy, greasy, perfect - with a side of hot, black WH Coffee. The cleanliness of this store was the best I've ever seen, and I've been to probably 812 different WaHo's. This crew knows what "clean as you go" really means. Finally, the service. Spot on. Princess was our server and she was a queen. She worked out my order so that "You can save $11 this way", was friendly, accommodating, and precise with the order. She also offered up little Valentine's candies to my boys on the way out the door. I tipped this crew 50% and left this joint feeling like there are a few special places in this world that are overlooked due to familiarity and preconceptions, and they don't get the recognition that they deserve. We were supposed to be in Pensacola in time to go eat at a decent restaurant. But between the fiance not knowing how to fix a simple problem on a vehicle, him not charging his iphone, AND getting us lost, we arrived in Pensacola 3 hrs later than planned and all the good restaurants were closed. Me, being an irritable pregnant lady gets my heart set on chicken nuggets or tenders and decides out of all the available options I want Burger King. BKs dining room is closed, so thats out. Fiance thinks Taco Bell is going to satisfy me, but i'd rather go hungry than eat that. So he tells me Waffle House has chicken and convinces me to go there. For the record Waffle House does NOT have any chicken but grilled- which I did not want (side note- i'm not normally irritable, but don't feed a pregnant lady for 10 hrs and see what happens). At this point I feel like I'm going to pass out from lack of food, so I order toast and it was pretty amazing toast. Fiance says I need to eat more than that and offers to run back to BK and get me some chicken. Talks to the waitress and she tells him normally its not ok to bring food in from another restaurant, but she'll allow it this one time. The waitress was awesome, the toast was awesome, and as always people watching at midnight at WaHo was awesome. read more

WOWWEEEEEE!!!!! this waffle house exists in its own vortex. this waffle house is very clean, you don't see the cooks butt crack as he goes to bend over to pick up supplies. also said cook isn't using the grill as an ashtray. the food is delicious and they even went above and beyond to catering to our large group with a few bizarre requests (bacon egg and cheese wrap sub the tortilla for a waffle, and a waffle served in a styrofoam cup full of syrup.) hannah was a gem all week to us, and we are forever grateful. Terrible food and service. Walked in and was ignored by all the servers. Two of the servers were sitting with their phones on their hand looking at each other to see who would serve us. We flagged down a waiter after 15 minutes of waiting and he gave us attitude. He was also arguing with the cook and after the cooked prepared our food, the cook stormed off outside. The server then aggressively placed the food on our table without saying anything, and then goes to another table and went on his phone. The steak was very dry even though I asked for medium rare, and the eggs were salty. We never got our drinks refilled, and he never checked up on us. This was my first and will be my last time to come to this location. read more

Whenever I travel in the South I am obliged to stop in to a Waffle House to savor the particular dining experience one finds there. Certainly the overall experience and food are similar to most of the other Waffle Houses I have visited but I will say the staff was quite friendly and the overall service good. i have eaten here many times on my lunch break and have greatly enjoyed each visit! Once you become a regular you may even have your favorite drink sitting on the table where you normally sit! I had never been to a Waffle House before and I guess my expectations were a lil high. Since they are a chain, I thought they'd be good but I was very disappointed in their food. I had a grilled ham and cheese with hash browns and it was ok...served on white sandwich bread with a slice of cheese that wasn't completely melted. I think if you like very plain and simple food it would be good or maybe I just ordered the wrong thing. The portions were good...not too much food, and the service was great! read more
