In hot springs for 4 days.... Decided to stop at Waffle House for some brunch before heading to the water park. We were kindly greeted when we came through the door. Our waitress was very attentive and sweet to my kiddos, she even spoiled them with a WH hat which will get them a free waffle next time. Breakfast was cooked to perfection and very tasty! I had the two egg breakfast with ham...Of course I had to steal a bit of my husbands waffle... soo good! It was so neat to sit and watch how effortlessly the line cooked our food. Upon entrance it smelled like a dog pound , our server has very poor hygiene as it reeked from her while taking our order. Very slow and very unprofessional as you should make sure employees are well groomed especially working around food and people in a very close setting.Also very rude and slammed jelly on the table when asked because she was "busy cooking". read more

Our very first time at a Waffle House!!!!! It was all so yummy. Pretty basic and straight forward, but hit the spot! I think next time I'll get more creative on my breakfast hash brown bowl. Very clean, very fast. Food was kind of bland. Stick to the menu, and it's very affordable. Make substitutions and it gets pricy.

We arrived in Hot Springs after a several hour drive. We checked in to our motel for the evening and tried desperately to find a place to eat. Needless to say, parking is at a premium all along Central Avenue, pedestrian traffic crazy, and being a Sunday evening (shockingly) several restaurants/businesses along this busy street were closed. I tried to make a call in order. Its 2 a.m. march 5.i asked for a side of grits with no butter and whoever answered the phone said that i could not get them without butter because they are all prepared the same way. As i understand it is a cook to order the way you basically ask for it . so when i brought it to her attention that i have had it this way before she actually hung up in my face i tried calling back for at least the next thirty minutes and no answer. Consistently the better of the two Waffle Houses in town. I just wish i lived closer to this one ,instead of the other one .

not good ive came to this waffle house many times and have been somewhat satisfied. however the past few times its been bad. waitresses dropping sausage, limited amount of cooks and running out of drinks that i paid for. last time the waiter took everyones meal ticket to the kitchen one at a time which has never happened before. lemonade has always been refillable for free and this past time my poc friend was charged for another refill. would recommend the other waffle house in town this one is not it. read more

When giving my order the older lady looked at me like I was a dumbass with her hands out shrugging and said what do you want me to put that on. I'll explain I gave her what I wanted how to make my eggs, that I wanted bacon and then I wanted the tomatoes peppers and cheese. That's when she acted like she didn't know how to do her job and forgot what the menu was. Now if you go to WH what are they known to smother, cover, chopped, chunk, pepper and whatever else there's left to do?! Hmmmmm I wonder. So because as she said, had been awake for 36 hours so she was to exhausted to remember that I wanted all that on hashbrowns like the rest of the country. After I had to tell her I wanted them on my hashbrowns and because I rolled my eyes because dear lord the number of people who can't do their job without customer assistance in this country she asked, "did I have a problem?" As a matter of fact I do what else would I be putting any of that on? What do people put that on here? She said and I quote, well it could've been the grits. Now considering I didn't order anything that offered the grits why would it be that. I never even wanted to discuss her ignorance or wanted to go into details about it but she did and is the one acting like a crazy person slinging her finger around pointing at the door grabbing the menu to point at those grits that wasn't on my order telling me I can just go. I never yelled, cussed, not even raise my voice and I had to go. As a business you do have the right to refuse service that's fine I didn't argue with her about it. I am a nearby resident who ate there many times in the past several months but no more and I will go out of my way now to let any of my clients who are tourist know not to eat there. I will let the 2 Resorts that I go into and do massages for their timeshare owners know not to eat there because of the help that has been awake for 36 hours and can't do their job. Those resorts are really close by but it's English Muffin and IHOP from me. It's bad enough that we have to bag our own stuff at Wal-Mart because their employees are only on 2 checkouts, McD's has people who can't count back change, and now WH has servers who don't know the menu. It's in a box and ask how u want your hashbrowns learn it. Don't catch attitude then start shit because people are sick to death of doing your job. If you ask me as a owner or supervisor of this WH I think I would need to know why it is this lady hasn't slept in 36 hours then decided to come to work tired and cranky because it just cost you some business. She's a shity person who needs to get help if drugs are keeping her awake that long, or maybe your husband needs to carry some of the finances that need taken care of, or if its that your kids are using you as a free daycare for their kids because that seems trendy these days, perhaps you need to work less hours to get more and better sleep, I don't know what your issues are at home and keeping you from sleep or why you felt it was me who was at fault here for freely rolling my eyes at your ignorance but do something lady to fix yourself. I could tell that you wanted to fight with me about it and probably wanted it to be more of a scene than what you got from me so you could justify your 15th break to go smoke you a Marboro out back and talk shit to someone about how you told me. We are all tired and have our bad days but I wouldn't be the way you was when you were the who showed up to work not ready. If you snap over rolled eyes I would hate to know how many people you have thrown out because I'm sure you've had worse. Just because you can refuse service to people doesn't mean it was mine or anyone else's fault that you came in feeling like tired broke down shit and unprepared for your job. Waffle House may be America's best known diner chain. As a lover of diners, I usually visit one or 2 when I am traveling by car. They are usually found on the outskirts of small towns, but I would certainly go to an urban Waffle House. Straight up, inexpensive diner menu in a bright, clean environment. At this location - excellent service, good food, and interesting conversation with a local in the next booth.
