For being a southern staple, this chain was okay. I had my first Waffle House experience when my roomies and I were starving at a party, so ducked out around 1am to find out what was open in Key Largo....answer: not much! We found our way here and ordered hashbrowns, pancakes, sausage, and some other sides. The portions are large and taste okay enough. The prices are not super cheap, but not expensive either. Normal diner food at normal diner prices. The service was slow and uninterested, at least during the graveyard shift. Still, it hits the spot when it's late and you're starved! read more

Worst Waffle House ever! The "salesperson" her name was Rose. Rude, non attentive and didn't deserve the $2 we left. We have been to many of these. The "salesperson" clearly makes the experience. I hope you don't get Rose. We ordered coffee and sprite. After dropping off the food she never came back. Never refilled coffee or sprite. She actually sat at the far end of the counter and ate her lunch. We asked for crisp hash browns. Well they were crisp. They were like a potato chip. The waffle was burnt. These problems were with my husbands food. Mine was fine except for the coffee refills. We won't be back. There are def better options locally. We just wanted a quick bite. read more

This is one of the cleaner Waffle House's I have been too. I really love their breakfast. I had eggs over medium, grits, bacon, sausage gravy on a biscuit and toast. Oh-yeah also their hash browns. I was a little hungry that morning :-) My breakfast was fantastic, plus our waitress was funny and very quick with our orders. Yeah, it's a solid 3 stars, with waffle house, you know what you're getting. Quick in and out service, breakfast, economical. I walked in the door, my presence wasn't acknowledged. Waited for a few moments to be sat.. being by myself I didn't need a booth but the two open spaces at the counter needed to be bussed... after about 5-7 minutes, I just sat down at the dirty place setting... then I was acknowledged and my seat was bussed. Came here today for some breakfast on our way through the keys. Its Mother's day and they were not overly busy but they were short staffed. This absolute nasty low life character of a man started yelling at them because he had to wait for his sides and then told one of the staff to shut her face when she tried to explain! Terrible. Its Mothers day and these ladies are working it to serve his ungrateful ass! They were trying their best and still remained professional. Waffle House never fails to disappoint with its consistency. Great food at a low price even in Key Largo. They manage to keep that trademark "gas station/you might get into a fight by the end of tour meal" feel all while having a professional and courteous staff. It even seemed like the Key Largo restaurant added the complementary shady dudes by the bathroom for authenticity. I would definitely eat here again! read more

I've only patronized this particular WH twice (once last week and once this morning). Typically I wouldn't even think about dining at one for the simple fact that I've had my fair share of WH experiences. This place is nearly on ever other corner of my beloved Atlanta. Lol. The great thing about this place though is that on one's daily commute from home to work, if you haven't had enough time to prepare yourself a pretty good breakfast or if you're just tired of stopping by one of the fast food chains, for a few dollars more you can have a diner cooked meal that will tasty and filling. The staff there is pretty friendly, the two times that I've walked in, they greeted me with "good morning", just overall polite people. 3 stars for the meals. They are hot and good, but nothing spectacular. 3 stars for the convenience. This time when I called in, my food was basically ready to go. This place had a really cute atmosphere and our waiter was really friendly. The food was good too, especially the peanut butter waffle (AMAZING, but thin and small). My only complaint is it wasn't that clean. They set out our silverware then saw how dirty it was (like it hadn't been washed at all) then grabbed it really quickly to replace it, hoping we hadn't seen it. The silverware makes me worry a little about the cleanliness of the place but at least they fixed it without me having to say anything. Having dined at waffle house in Orlando, we decided to stop at this location on our way from key west to Sarasota. Plenty of parking. Our group of 12 found seating promptly. Manager brought menus and silverware, I had a feeling it was going to be a long dining experience since he moved very slow. I was right unfortunately. Asked for waters and he brought them like 10 minutes later. Coffee much later, didn't seemed fresh, luke warm. Disappointed since that's what I was craving the most. Apparently he misunderstood because after he took my wifes order and mine, he stepped away. My bro and his girl were ignored and had to wave him down to take their order. My steak and eggs arrived. Steak was dry, scrambled eggs cold, toast looked and tasted like 4 day old, stale bread. Bacon sandwiches were mediocre, order for kids meals were wrong......my stomach didn't like it, started getting cramps and urge to go.... Having spent couple days in key west and having experienced good food and service, we were truly disappointed having stopped here. I felt like a fool since I was the one who recommended this joint. If u can avoid this spot do it. Try other mom and pops restaurant found along the 1 highway, u will have better luck. Honestly I love waffle house, but our experience here was bad. Our waitress (her name was Tee) was really unattentative, and totally messed up our order. I had ordered a cup of chili which I never got. My girlfriend got hash browns smothered, covered and diced. There was literally only one slice of cheese in them. We had a 10+ hour drive ahead of us so we we were trying to eat up before we left. Since she missed the chili I ordered a burger and coffee to go before we left. I got the burger in a plastic bag and no coffee. I asked her about the coffee and she said something like "it's on there" but never got it even though I was waiting at the counter after I paid. Keep driving! Worst Waffle House ever. We arrived at noon on a Monday. The place was so filthy. I would have left but since it's the only one in the keys my family insisted. Staff barely acknowledged us. There were 8 employees behind counter and 4-5 food covered tables that needed to be cleared. The counter seating was available but also filthy. A server finally cleared a table after us waiting 10 minutes and she left chunks of food still on table and seats. We had to wipe it off our self with napkins. Our meals were good. Tasted like every other Waffle House meal. My son told me later he watched an employee handle raw chicken and then used a hot sauce from a customer table. Kitchen floor was disgusting. Food and papers everywhere. Our waitress wouldn't even talk to us. There was a nice pleasant server waiting on the table next to us. She was polite to her customers. I'd never go back. No pride here. After vacationing in Florida several times over the last few years, we finally made it to Waffle House--twice on this trip to the Keys! This Key Largo restaurant made both visits special from the moment we walked in the door until we walked out after some smack-down good waffles. We were greeted immediately by multiple servers and even the manager himself, Dylan, who takes his job very seriously. His "WH" tattoo is further evidence that he takes pride in his breakfast establishment. We sat at the counter during both visits and watched a staff who were busy whipping up golden waffles together. They are truly a team who genuinely cares about making customers happy they've come in for breakfast. Jessica was our waitress one day, and Briana served us the other day. Both ladies were awesome.
