This is the friendliest and cleanest Waffle House I have been to (and I'm from Georgia so I've been to at least 50 in my day). Everyone was so kind and helpful. We came on a Sunday morning which was busy but of course a fast turnover so we didn't have to wait long. As always the food was amazing. You can't go wrong with the all star special. read more

We sat down they took our order then 30min later the waiter tells us he's "sorry" for the cook taking to long he went to tacobell ... after that he said he didn't put our ticket in so two order got served before us, and he offered us a discount for our drinks only what a joke, worse service ever, also the waiter read our order to the cook. As a CA Native who has only ever travelled the coasts of this fine country, I have never heard, nor experienced the "Wa-Ho." The hash browns are exactly how hbs should be- hand shredded, served with any additional veggie of choice. Kitchen is open and you can watch them crack eggs per order (no pre made liquid egg tub that chefs ladle from). I also could not believe how nice everyone was workin this joint. Maybe that's why all the non Californians hate on us- I think we're just not nice people. If you want to eat breakfast in a music club playing bad music, go here. The music was so loud you couldn't hear yourself think much less your meal companions. When the manager and waitresses were asked to turn the music down, they just looked at you like you had sprouted a 2nd head and ignored the request. read more

Me and the wife returned to the waffle house after over a year of not going and was glad to find a new manager. last time we where there it was filthy, the new manager has the place clean and food back up to standards. In my travels around America I have found two distinct classes of Waffles Houses...one where the staff are crackerjacker waitresses who are on point and the place is immaculate. The second is a vortex of suck...where all hope of a good diner experience are dashed when you sit down...Longmont is the second, unfortunately. Sat down for lunch at the bar and noticed crumbs and old hash browns from a previous patron...so I moved one to my left...and found more food still on the bar. Ordered lunch and watched the grill man...who did have some good skills. He finished up my plate and put it to the right for the waitress to pick up....and there it sat....and sat...finally it received some company in two more plates for gals at one of the booths. It seems during this time the waitress was having trouble with the math on the checks because she spent two minutes figuring it out while my food sat there, mocking me from a mere 10 feet away...laughing at me that I couldn't eat it. The waitress finally figures out the addition ( subtraction's tricky pal) and promptly delivers the 2 plates to the booth leaving mine, alone again. This time I laugh at my sandwich as I taunt it that it is alone in this universe...and to quote Joseph Conrad, " We live as we dream, alone" Yes, existential musings at the Waffle House while planning the demise of a sandwich that now is old enough to take classes at the community college. The waitress walks by it again...but this time hears the subsonic waves of derision of said sandwich. She brings it over and I begin showing this lunch who is boss. Next time, i'll go elsewhere for my lunch...you should too. read more

I give 4 stars because I have always liked the staff there for the most part. They are fun and the food is prepared in front of you which is a big deal to me. I go usually super late and during the week between 2-4am. Night crew is best and it's usually not slammed those hours. Avoid the bar rush thur-sat by going after 3am. Friday night around 2am forget about it. It'll take forever for your food. Overall though, it's nice to have a late night spot to get some fried food near Longmont. I love Waffle House. Humble, clean and inviting as I pulled of the interstate at -15°F on this winter's night. It's the only place open for a sit-down breakfast for miles around at 4AM, and both my server (Shannon) and the cook were welcoming and chipper. The food was delicious and...oh my...the hash browns! First. We come in, and everyone that had filled this place all finished at once and left so we were the only ones left. We sit down and was brought out flatware and was told we would be taken care of shortly. We sat there for about 15 min and no one said a word to us. 1 waitress, 2 cooks, 1 manager, and 1 other person. Not one person said hi, got us a drink, took our order, nothing. As we were waiting another customer was complaining as he was paying to leave, demanding to speak to a manager. Complaining of his horrible service, lol, as we had almost walked out ourselves because of the same reason. They were all cleaning up, mopping the floor after this rush and etc, totally ignoring us. My date had to say something, and they all looked at us like we were crazy. Waitress comes over, not the brightest person, with her doe eyed confused look, apologizes and blames the others for not telling her she had someone. We are literally the only ones in this place. Lol. We clearly haven't ordered, we have no drinks. The food was at normal expectancy for here, however I had to send my eggs back twice because they were over cooking when I gave up and said never mind. We also were never asked for refills on our drinks, all empty, ice and all. We will be speaking to a manager before we leave. Spoke with manager. He was apologetic for the service and my eggs not being properly cooked, and comped our entire meal. read more

Service was not fast. They shouldn't even call this place " The Waffle House" because their waffles are like the complimentary type waffles you get in a hotel( just FLATTER). I showed up for my first time pretty late at night over the weekend, I honestly should have just gone to Ihop. I ordered a side of bacon and the middle of each strip, was just fried fat. The only meat I got off that bacon was on both ends of the strip. The gravy for the biscuits took 15 mins because apparently it was " watery still" meaning it's been sitting for a couple of hours COLD. What a disaster. First thing when I walked in the door at 8:45AM, the noise level was crazy. The juke box was blaring and the poor customers were trying to talk over it. Many tables needed to be cleared of dirty dishes. I asked the waitress if she could turn it down a bit and she wanted to argue with me. "Customers and employees put their money in and there is nothing we can do about it besides I don't even hear it". I asked to talk to the manager. That never happened but they did turn the jukebox down a bit. Both of our breakfasts were not delivered as we ordered. I couldn't get coffee refills. Shannon, our waitress was too busy talking to the table next to us to refill our coffee. The two cooks were playing off each other in conversation so loud that they could be heard throughout the restaurant. When it came time to leave, my friend wanted to tip the waitress $5. I told him no way; she needed to find a different field. She overheard me and again wanted to argue. I was told I was in a bad mood when I sat down. She might have been right but it was only due to the noise level, dirty tables and attitudes. Never again. Pinnochios is right down the road and has wonderful breakfasts served without the attitude. read more

The Waffle House has decent basic food for a relatively cheap price. I go there 3 to four times a week but the service is hit and miss as is the cleanliness. They have some waitresses that keep the tables clean and provide exceptional service BUT their are the bad apples in the waitress bunch. Shawn (name on her tag? She is a big girl with round face and tats). Her tables are always dirty, she is more interested in gossiping about what going on in her private life to other employees than taking your order or bringing the food to you while its hot. I always try to avoid her work station but not always possible. But bad attitudes can spread through the staff. (A bad apple can spoil the whole bunch) I think I will go elsewhere for breakfast... I went back again recently and they have new staff, better service now and cleaner! read more

About 6 months ago I wanted a pecan waffle. I remembered getting them in Aurora at the Waffle House. I stopped in, got a half raw Waffle, cold hash browns and lumpy grits. I figured OK it's really busy and they are training a new cook. Tonight I wanted a Pecan Waffle. I drove 15 miles to the Waffle house and ordered two eggs over medium, grits, hash browns and a Pecan Waffle. Once again the waffle was half done, the eggs were not cooked over medium, there were brown flecks in the grits and they were lumpy, (I was told it was the grade of the grits, MAYBE a better grade should be served), and and the hash browns were cold in the middle. I understand that this particular restaurant is the training center for other rest. I SURE HOPE they are training better than they are cooking here. I probably won't go back to a WAFFLE HOUSE unless I am at the one on Mississippi in Aurora. read more

Overall the Waffle House here in Longmont is a great place to go to other than on weekend mornings. I prefer the night shift crew over the day crew, they are much more friendly and casual. Ive noticed there are two cooks that alternate the night shifts, one being a heavier set gal and the other a small littly guy. The gal cooks the food well but the plate appearance is pretty horrid. The guy on the otherhand ALWAYS cooks the food fantastic and the plate looks like something out of a five star restaurant. It's usually not busy overnight, but every now and then it gets slammed, and the crew maintains the place very well. My favorite waiter there is Jessica ^.^ expect good things when you see her there. read more
