Service was absolutely horrible this morning 11/09/25 around 8:35am at the location off 80 & Beltline, Mesquite Tx. This is not the normal behavior, but today it was. The staff did not greet us with their usual good morning, and the service wait was too long although they had plenty of staff available, they just chose to talk to each other. MAMA LYNN DESERVES A FRANCHISE! The ONLY Reason I updated from a 3-star draft is because this lady proves that women in leadership are essential for success! When I tell you she not only took EVERYONES order from memory, she ALSO COOKED everything exactly as we wanted in a few minutes FLAT! When she delivered our food the goofy, young waiter hadn't even brought the cream for our coffee or the syrup for our waffle; DUDE WAKE UP! Despite having a half-full restaurant at midnight, MAMA LYNN handled everything. I high-fived her and said "Gordon Ramsay needs to meet you!" (And that I was going to start a petition because she deserves her own franchise...) she promptly corrected me and said that she wanted to retire in four years so she didn't need one but I said, " don't worry you can just find good people and manage it!" went around 12:15am, barely got greeted! we sat down & ordered & wondered why our order was incomplete. it was 4 employees everybody left including the manager of this location. left the poor girl in there taking orders, cooking, & checking out all at once. the other 3 including the manager was outside smoking cigarettes & talking as we left the location. customer service was very poor & I mean very poor. do not recommend going this late read more

Waffle House NEVER disappoints. As I enter I am immediately greeted with s sincere 'welcome to Waffle House' by Audrianna. When I ordered a pancake, Audrianna gasped; I then realized what I had done, and changed my order to a waffle. She started my day with laughter. My eggs were cooked as ordered; over medium is not always cooked over medium but these were. Each employee was working non-stop doing something. No one was standing around. I've eaten in Waffle houses all over the south; every single one is as friendly as the next. I don't know how they consistently hire friendly people but they do. I frequent many WHs and this one by far was the most incredible one I've ever been to. The workers were extremely attentive and our food came out in a timely manner, steaming hot. The tea was super fresh but not so hot it melted the ice, which was good timing on our part. The server lady gave us an extra cup of ice for our teas just in case anyways without us asking, which was really nice. The manager gentleman even came and let us know he was going to count the register and asked us politely to just wait a couple minutes before we paid. The customer service was incredible and we felt so welcome there. When we walked in the place felt brand new because it looked and smelled so clean, and I would have guessed it was recently built if I wasn't from this area. It was a perfect visit. We returned a couple days later to introduce our friend to the WH club and service kept up well. It was great to see the consistency across different shifts, even considering our second visit had more people in the lobby being served. Also if anybody is wondering- this WH is doing dine-in after 9pm. A lot of WHs in Dallas are beginning to do take-out only after 9, and a couple even shut down at 8 against what their signage say. Not sure what's going on there but you'll be in high luck coming here instead. read more

I wish I could give this place 0 stars! The staff at this location are just awful! There were 5 staff members and no one ever came to our table in 30 mins that we were there. They were chitchatting and laughing. There was 2 other costumers and no one had been helped. We just had to walk out! Don't waste your time coming to this location! Not worth it. read more

I used to love this location. Now they have rude, disrespectful young kids working there. Waited 15 minutes before a girl walked up and asked what we wanted to drink. Took our order. Asked her 3 times if she put well done hash browns. They were making tea that we never got. She was all attitude like she hated waiting on people. Had to ask for cheese on my hash browns, no onions and they weren't well done. Never checked on us or got a thank you. We won't be back to that location. read more

I have lived in Mesquite over 4 years and it took my friend visiting from Missouri this past weekend to get me in the door. We ate there twice in 5 days if that tells you anything. Service is fast, the food is fresh and everyone is super friendly. Also, the prices are very reasonable. On my first trip, I had a waffle and hashbrowns. Now, these were not ordinary hashbrowns but ones where you can add ham, onions, tomatoes, mushrooms and cheese. Wonderful!! On my second trip I just had a heaping plate of hashbrowns with double ham, double onions, tomatoes, double mushrooms and cheese. read more

The waffles are so good here! I almost forgot just how good since I haven't been to a Waffle House in years. The syrup here is also so sweet and delicious! The grits are pretty good, as well as the hash browns. I am not a fan of their scrambled eggs since they do not completely mix the egg together. The scrambled eggs are more like egg white and chunks of yolk all in one. It's not the cleanest place to dine at; however, it is great for a yummy, quick bite to eat. read more

I have to echo another yelpers review of this place. We came in for a quick bite because we were in a hurry. I told my husband that the smell of this place reminded me of something. Then it hit me! It smells like the restrooms on a plane ! If you have ever had the misfortune of sitting near a restroom on a plane, or if you've ever used a restroom on a plane, this is exactly what this place smells like ! Recycled air conditioned air on a plane with an essence of bathroom. Yuck. My expectations weren't very high coming in, but I wasn't expecting this. read more

Worst service at a Waffle house ever..My daughter and I were not greeted. We sat at the front counter and watch as workers walked by us. A worker cleaned a table for customers that walked in 10 minutes after us. Then, she took the order for the table as we still waited to be acknowledged. We finally decided to leave. As I stood at the door waiting for my daughter, we were asked why we were leaving. I told them because we could not get service. Then, I was asked if they took take care of us. I would definitely not recommend this location. But if you are looking for a 5 star waffle house, then follow are lead and go to the waffle house in Garland off I30...it has great food and fabulous service. read more

This store was nasty, walls , windows and the floor were filthy. I had water dripping on me from the air conditioner and when I brought it to a waitresses attention she told me the roof leaks from the air conditioner trying to keep the inside cool. Behind the counter was nasty and an employee took a bag out of the trash can and lifted it up over the counter with it dripping a trail of liquid. So when we walked in the restaurant immediately reeked. After taking our seats and noticing the corner the waitress got up to take our drink order seeming to be rather irritated of our presence and the interruption of her nap. After getting our drinks the waitress effortlessly tossed our drinks onto the table nearly spilling them.After a few seconds we decided to try a different Waffle House which turned out pretty awesome . It's hard to beat a Waffle House breakfast after a long weekend of drum corps camp. Our experience here was very good, except perhaps for our surly waitress. Aside from that, the food was perfectly prepared and I always enjoy my Waffle House hash browns smothered and peppered. read more

This one is always crowded at most times of the day. Now they have hostesses (apparently high school girls that needed summer jobs) that just seem to make it more crowded. Sometimes the service is good, other times you barely get noticed. Refills are hard to come by sometimes but the food is usually pretty good. read more

Have not been to a Waffle House for some time, but they always got a good breakfast. I have 2 eggs, sausage patties, grits, hash browns with onions, and jalapeños, all stirred together. Topped with substantial pepper, salt and Tobasco. Is really good and lasts the entire day, curbing my hungers. Good example here and the service was just right. Thanks folks. Well done. read more

Stopped in for a quick breakfast this morning. I ordered a T-bone steak, with grits, scrambled eggs with jalapeno peppers, toast and coffee. The only thing worth eating was the steak...and only somewhat! The scrambled eggs had gooey stuff running still, the grits had long, dark, thick hard crusted crustations in them and I sent it back. My coffee creamer container had hair on it, and to top it all off... I had to wipe the filthy seats down myself, prior to sitting. My server presented the ticket and I asked..."no adjustments???" She said she would ask. The manager came over very defensively. I just told him forget it and paid for the ticket. Waffle House should be ashamed!Ohhh...I cannot forget that the restroom smelled like a nasty, unkept dog!!! Ughh!!! I will never be back!!! read more
