Here we are on Christmas night and the only restaurants that are open are "Waffle House". We came in for dinner at 6:30pm and the place was busy but the staff handled the run exquisitely. This location has been a pretty alright spot for a quick bite before or after classes but today my friend and I sat down for lunch, and I'm not exactly closeted so I'm used to getting looks around here. But we were having a really good time the food was as you'd expect just what you want at Waffle House, pretty good, and our server (whoever the only male server was at 4 pm on Thursday February 25 2021) treated us to a little card magic trick with some disappearing dots- it was cute and funny and harmless. He gave us the card and a faux business card, which I was um put off to realize we're just fronts for resources that would save my immortal soul :) so anyways we finish and promptly leave and by the drivers side of our car there's another card that asks where we think we'll go if we die tonight (have we been saved). Food was great... service good. Only problem it was quite a bit of a wait for our to go order. I came to pick up when they told me but I still had by quite a wait before it was ready. They were very busy. We ordered breakfast about 10 AM on a Saturday morning. Two thumbs up on the food!!! read more

The waitress didn't bother to serve the salad that came with the pork chop meal. When I asked where it was, she seemed lost, as if I caught by surprise. She spent the next ten minutes scrambling around trying to find ingredients to make it. Apparently, there was nothing prepped for them to serve. By the time we finished our meal, she was finally asking the cook to slice the tomatoes for my salad. By then, I was no longer hungry and my lunch hour was over. Salads are something I like to eat before I fill up on the other stuff. Meal experience, ruined. So I asked her to deduct the salad from our bill. But she didn't want to do that, since the meal is a package deal price. So, along came the manager to intervene, but he also took some hard convincing to credit my salad. In the end, he agreed to knock off 2 bucks. It seems like this manager can't run a tight ship. His staff aren't prepared to serve customers to Waffle House standards and his token gesture to "make things right with the customer" was insulting. To start my experience off to even be acknowledged in this building today was about the hardest thing you will ever do. I was picking up a Togo , which cost me $51 for 2 bacon has brown bowls and 2 egg breakfast . 3 toppings of chili for my bowl, which I'm sure was charged as 3 complete sides of chili. None of the chili sides were even full. And me if the chili's was half open which could have spilt in my car . I did not catch her name , but it was the oriental women. The cook (a female) kept saying I hope I put the write meats on the food. Then after my food was ready I watched it sit on the counter for 20 minutes while they worked on a tables good and delivered it before even trying to hand me my food knowing it was done . She gave me absolutely so itemized receipt at all. The chili tasted like it sat in the pan so long they added water to thin it out so now it's pretty much water with beans . By the time I was able to eat my food it was ice cold . This was the absolute worst experience and I WILL NEVER BE BACK TO THIS LOCATION!!!! read more

She even ran out to catch us in the parking lot to hand us something my niece had left behind! Coffee was great, and refilled quickly. The food was hot and fresh, and enjoyed by all. While the food was good tasting and the service prompt, I can't ignore the unsettling feeling that comes from watching the cooks handle fresh vegetables and toast with the same gloved hands that handled raw bacon and eggs, just seconds before. The worse Waffle House that I've ever been to. The manager Mike, treats his employees with a bad attitude and yells at them right in front of customers, humiliating them. After this happened, seeing the reaction of other employees and customers. I thought this needed to be brought up, the cooking was done lazy and quick, the food was not properly cooked. Avoid this Waffle House and bring Mike to the higher ups attention. read more

We came in for dinner. There were very few people in the restaurant and we had great waiter, very attentive. The waffles were extremely light and fluffy. The bacon was crisp and not very greasy and the eggs were cooked to order. All in all a great meal for the price. I will definitely be back. read more

This is a southern "greasy spoon" restaurant. The patrons as often not "well groomed," nor particularly "hygienic." Some of the help behind the counter have similar challenges. Many of the employees look a little "rough." I tend to ask myself "where have those hands been?" when I'm in this Waffle House...if you get my meaning. If I were starving to death at 3:30am, and I wanted to eat something that required complete cooking, I might have breakfast there. read more

Ordered steak and eggs - l had a T-bone steak which I ordered medium rare - it can medium well. The steak was by far the worst I've ever been served. Egg ordered medium where hardly cooked.- combination of a VERY bad steak and a bad cook made this a place I'll never visit again read more

I grew up on Waffle House so I like their food. I like this one in Niceville because of Ms. Donna (since there could be more than one, she is the older woman with a bunch of gold stars on her badge). She is the BEST sever I have ever had at a Waffle House. And trust me I have been to plenty from several states. We went again today and had someone else. Came in about 9:30 PM. Every table was dirty even though there were only 2 customers in the place. Some tables had been set with placemats but clearly hadn't been wiped clean. Waitress was friendly but got a few things wrong. Watched her work the register, serve customers, wipe tables, and then without washing her hand or putting on gloves, handle customer' waffles with her bare hands. Big time violation. Food was OK, but when I went up to pay and got a look behind the counter, the place was filthy, floor, counters, stove area, all messy, greasy and just unsanitary looking. Let's face it all Waffle Houses are a hit and miss with food and service and this morning was a huge MISS with our service! Our little little server, Katy, got our order wrong on two counts, then I guess decided she didn't want to wait on us anymore after that because we cleared our own dishes by setting them on the counter next to our table. We had to ask another server to refill our coffee and when she came back with the check we ask for a Togo box. You think we got it? NO! The meal was terrible. The sausage patty was cremated and the bacon was limp. We were squirted by a waitress behind the counter. The waitress hardly acknowledged it happened and never came to the table or check on the water that was on the floor. After our meal the waiter came to the table from the cooks side and asked us to hand all the dirty dishes to him over the back side where the catsup, syrup etc is. The meal was not good.
