What can I say? The Waffle House has always been a great place for a quick meal and good breakfast eats. Growing up in Atlanta, Ga --The Waffle House came a dime a dozen and was always the "go to" for hanging out and a decent breakfast. Its been ages since I've been to one and this location did not disappoint. The food was great, service friendly, and prices beyond reasonable. And, as a bonus, it's very conveniently located right off of I-95/295 and there's a gas station in the same parking lot. My favorite is the "Blueberry Waffle!" Skip all the rest. lol. Their Blueberry Waffle is unmatched in book by far!!!! The hash browns tend to be on point to. You can have the plain or add interesting ingredients such as jalapeño, onions and cheese. Not my thing, but it tend to be a popular choice based on my server's opinion. I order them plain. They were a bit undercooked for me but still very good at the same time. I prefer my hash browns just a bit more crispier, but I'll make sure to ask next time. There rest of the meal including the fluffy eggs were delicious. I left this place all smile and belly-rubbing full. In all, no complaints here. The food was so good that I actually visited this place twice while in Jacksonville, FL. The server was attentive and prompt and the prices were just right. If only there was a location in the Washington, DC area. I would be in trouble!! lol read more

It's been a long time since I've been to a waffle house. This wasn't quite as good as I remembered. I used to always get waffles and ham here. I liked the waffles this time (though their butter isn't real), but the ham wasn't as good as I remembered: a thin, salty, dry side of it. Maybe I used to get a thicker, main-course one instead of a side before? The hash browns tasted rather stale, but I still liked them. The toast and scrambled eggs were about as you'd expect, and I like that they butter the toast. The bathroom was pretty good, but the laminated menu was sticky. Service was slow and communication wasn't great. We didn't get our drinks for a while: when I asked for them waitress was apparently waiting for me to order more, as I'd asked to keep a menu. It took a long time to get our food, especially the waffle, which came out long after the other food. She tried to explain to me that the waffle was on the dark side, and ask if I wanted another one, but I wasn't clear on what she was asking. It tasted fine. I might come back for a waffle, but I didn't enjoy it as much as I remember doing so. read more

This was my first time visiting a Waffle House and all I can say is the whole staff was incredible! Everyone was friendly and it just seemed so family oriented. They all were so welcoming and polite. Ate here for the first time today. I'll be back! Angelina was my server, and when I asked her about where I could find more menu options, she described herself as a "walking menu". And she was! I ended up getting breakfast with a sirloin steak and triple toppings added to my hash browns. Plus, a pumpkin waffle. All of the food was not just yummy. It was super yummy! And the service was great too! Being alone, I sat at the counter and was pleased to see the staff all joking around good-naturedly and having fun. They all seem to enjoy working there, and it shows in both the food and the service! I highly recommend this particular Waffle House! read more

Ate here because it was next to my hotel for two weeks. My brother and I had breakfast here and to be perfectly honest - I was blown away. I mean - country ham, biscuits and gravy, eggs, and coffee for such a reasonable price and the food was truly delicious. It was a treat for me, I can't image that there are even any waffle houses in New Jersey but I am certain that my husband would not darken the door, so when there is an opportunity to try it - Seize it! We went back a few other times but the service is inconsistent. Very good one day, the next day wait for ever to be acknowledged and wait even longer for the food be be delivered. Over all - and considering the price - it would be foolish to not at the very least give it a shot. That biscuits and gravy left quite an impression! read more

OK, I have to admit that Waffle House is one of my deepest guilty pleasures. The service here is always on point and the food is no exception. My pecan waffle is usually served by a smiling, friendly waitress. In the past, they used to offer that classic imitation strawberry topping with heaps of whipped cream over a loaded pecan waffle and I would be in waffle heaven. Unfortunately, neither the strawberry topping nor the whipped cream is available now. It's OK. I've just had to adapt. Overall, I have yet to find a place that serves consistently delicious pecan waffles 24-Hours a day like WH. It really hits the spot! read more

Two waitresses chose to not wear masks while serving and talking to customers. When I asked Victoria isn't she required to wear a mask, she replied well yes and no Florida doesn't require it but waffle house does. She went on to say that besides, she already had Covid back in February. If you can't eat with your mask on I would avoid this restaurant. read more

This has to be the worst customer service I've ever seen. We waited more than 6 minutes after sitting down to be greeted. There was 4 employees standing around and only 1 other customer in the building when we walked in. That customer had been taken care of and then our order was taken. The server that took the order was not supervised and this is her first day. The organization seemed to be in an uproar when I walked in and continued through the process of my order. The order is simple and I explained it to the server 4 times. It's 2 chicken breasts, grilled onions, and 2 eggs over easy x2. That means 4 chickens, and 4 eggs. I even told her that it's a total of 4 and 4 with lots of grilled onions. Nothing more, nothing less. About 5 minutes later I hear her call out the order to the cook. I immediately hear her only ask for 2 chicken breasts. I waited until she was done calling out the order and I spoke up to tell her it's supposed to be 4 chicken breasts. She came to ask again what the order is and I said it a fifth time. Now here's the worst part. The food comes out with 2 slices of toast, one chicken breast per plate, no grilled onions, and grits. Before she could set the plate down, I said that's not what I ordered. Another server chimed in and said it's her first day. I said that I understand, but I explained exactly what I wanted and this is not it. I repeated what the order was once again. The other server copped an attitude and then said she didn't have to serve me. Now to this point I was all calm. At that point I got up and walked out as the staff continued to make rude comments. This is by far the worst experience I've had at a Waffle House throughout my travels of all the intercontinental U.S. I've been to 49 states and I've eaten at thousands of establishments. This is not a respectable environment and no one should be subject to this type of treatment. If management is the problem here, then maybe corporate needs to step in. Or the owner of this franchise so that their pocketbook doesn't continue to be affected. read more

This location has a couple of hotels and is close to the interstate. Maybe the owners should take a good look at who's running his business and also make a decision as to how to adequately staff the restaurant so the paying customers can be accommodated. First off it's waffle house so you know we gonna get a lil ghetto. You either love it or hate it. If you don't like the environment take ur ass to cracker barrel. OK to start off we went there at Christmas. (these people taking time away from their family to serve us food). It started off bad. They were slammed and overwhelmed. We had waited an hour for our food. (we've waited longer at Dennys on Christmas) the manager learned of this and had our meal out in 5 mins. Food was good fresh and we were happy. One of workers came over to us to let u know our food was comped and not to worry about it. I refused. We got what we ordered and the food was good. They insisted it was comped and we would not be charged. "Take this Christmas blessing" she said. I went ahead and accepted but we tipped our servers $20. They seemed surprised that we even tipped at all and thanked us. What to expect? It's waffle house. Expect a loud open environment and friendly down to earth staff. What not to expect. WHO IS THE OWNER HERE?! Came here for a simple order. Two chicken breasts with grilled onions on top, and two eggs over easy on the side. Nothing else, nothing more nothing less. The girl who took my order was brand new and I explained it to her several times just to make sure that she would get it right it's very simple to begin with.. she called out the wrong amount of chicken breast and I politely corrected her. After 30 minutes the order that was placed in front of me was not what I ordered. Two chicken breast with grits and toast.. I calmly said that's not my order, please fix it. Another lady came by and started to make excuses, that the girl is new and this is how the order comes. I again said I was very specific, I didn't ask for toast or anything else, I am on a protein diet. The lady started to get an attitude at which point I was still being nice and said I understand but this is not what I asked for. She then proceeds to get angry and tells me that she doesn't have to serve me and if I am getting an attitude I can leave. Excuse me? I am being nice and calm and speaking with a calm tone of voice, she was the one who went up a few octaves and started to be nasty to me and it was uncalled for. That's when I got angry, because I was being accused of being rude when I was very understanding that the server is new. Which is why I explained my order to her THREE times and she still got it wrong. These people shouldn't work in customer service. Worst part about it was I was the only one in there. There was absolutely no other customers, and there were two cooks and three servers. FIVE of them and they all heard me order and it came out wrong and of course I left after losing my patience, unacceptable in every way, shape, and form! I will NEVER go back and suggest you all go down to the next exit to the next Waffle House. I travel the country, I have been in 43 states most of which have a waffle house. This has by far been my worst experience across all of them. She even tried to walk out and write down my license plate! I'm sorry but are you a cop now? Came in this morning the manager here has a very terrible attitude!!! I was waiting in line to be served when the manager was being completely rude to a customer before me. I came to place my order was told to wait a few minutes. I took a seat then I was told if I wasn't going to eat in that I was going to have to stand up so I said okay I'll eat in she told me that she was not about to play with me whatever that means no that they are not going to take my order and that I can leave. read more

To start, thank you Judy for making my FIRST Waffle House experience a very pleasant one! My boyfriend and I visited this location around 5:30 in the morning, we had the two egg breakfast and the bacon, egg, and cheese melt and OH MY GOODNESS. Either I've been starving my whole life or this food is just that good, it hit the spot! Although this is not the cleanest looking establishment I've seen (it might have been that this is an older building so it may look dingy which gives it an unclean appearance) but I didn't mind much because my consumer experience was exceptional. However, I would say be careful if you are coming to this location during the night (or in the dark) because there is what appears to be an old unused gas station next to it, it just looked a little sketchy to me in the dark. But that's just me, always be vigilant at night! Anyway, I would definitely come to this location again! read more

As Waffle House restaurants go, this location is most consistent and the people have had pretty great attitudes when I've eaten there. I usually get the Pork Chop breakfast and ask for extra seasoning. They aren't the thickest Chops, but they are pretty tasty and worth the price. read more

So I was in a rush to grab food before a flight and needed something quick. I went to the closest spot near my hotel which was this Waffle House. Let me tell you right now!!! This was the best Waffle House I have eaten in 30 years of being ALIVE!!!! The staff on duty was Jordan, Glenn, Julie, and Twan. They opened the door and welcomed me in with the smile. They didn't rush me while I was trying to do decide what to order. Julie constantly checked on me to ensure I was okay. The guys made sure that my meal was fantastic and that's exactly what it was: PHENOMENAL. I had credit card issues and they didn't try to rush me as if I was going to eat and run. They waited patiently and allowed me to take care of my card issue so I could get it fixed and pay. They talk to customers which made it an enjoyable experience for me. Most of the time, they are so busy with clients, they don't have time to talk. This team made time to be kind and professional. That's the level of customer service everyone should expect and they absolutely delivered. Many people will tell you that if you've been to one Waffle House, you've been to them all. I'm tell you that is a bold faced lie. I enjoyed my experience and the next time I'm in Jacksonville, I will Be Back. Even if it means driving all the way across town. Always a great time when I'm in Jax. I've been frequenting this WH for almost 10 years and the food is always good. Especially when the main cook is there. The only challenge, for the most part, is STILL getting in and out of the parking lot. All this time and you still need a special skill to enter one of the three ways to get in. lol. read more

I read about them a few months ago in Bon Appétit magazine and was reminded of the well oiled process the grill work is. Love watching all of the action. When our food arrived (pretty quickly for such a busy Sunday), it was perfect. Waffles were just right, eggs were perfect, grits, hash browns and biscuits were done right. It's amazing that nearly all of it comes from a grill except for the waffles. Out waitress was great, attentive, friendly and kept our coffee mugs filled. The kids loved their meals and cleaned their plates. Definitely a great revisit of a classic. We will be back. read more

This was my first visit to this WH. The crew here was awesome. They were so friendly. Our servers name was Kitty and she was super sweet. Great personality and it was genuine...you could just tell. I had lunch, my favorite, which is the grilled chicken, bacon &cheese deluxe with hash browns. Their grilled chicken sandwich is Everything. For real. It's so good, you have to try it. I give ALL the employees on the night shift at Waffle House's TONS of respect for being able to deal with the numberous amount of hung-over drunks that show up after 2am. Typical Waffle house experience, overcooked greasy food served by a waitress with a bad attitude problem in need of a bath!

Upon arrival, the only empty tables were dirty, so we found an out of the way spot to wait and give them a chance to clear them. But five min. later no one had started to clear anything. You could tell they were short-staffed and as time passed, it became obvious that they were pointedly ignoring the dirty tables and doing their best to not make eye contact as a way to get people to leave. But it was late, not much else was open and we were tired and hungry so after 7 or 8 min. of being ignored, we eventually just forced their hand by sitting at a dirty table. Now, I understand short-staffed means you have to have patience and that it sucks for the staff, but having said that, it's also the time that you put on your best smile, tell people hat you are short-staffed but will get to them as quickly as possible and hussle up their coffee, soda, etc. so they have something to do. With the right attitude, you might just get a big tip for being the hero that saved the day and besides that, it's your job. But not our waitress. After we forced her to deal with us by sitting at the dirty table, she (eventually) came over and proceeded to say " We are short-staffed and it's going to take at least 20 minutes before I can even take your order" and walked away. In hindsight, this was another point at which we should have left, but again, late, nothing else open, starving.... To say the good with the bad, it actually did not take 20 min. for her to take our order and the food came surprisingly quickly. But... my husband did not get his toast, my son did not get his waffle (main part of his meal) and I never got my coffee. When we realized all that was missing, I tried to catch her eye but she was back into avoiding eye contact mode. So I went to her and asked for the toast and waffle. (Just gave up on the coffee). She told me that she couldn't make them and would just take them off of our bill. I kid you not, she said that. When I tried to address it with the "shift supervisor" he literally just stood there looking at me, and didn't ....say....a....word. It was like something out of the Twilight Zone. Tried to call them today and their phone gives no option to talk to anyone or to leave a message. OMG read more
