I know it's a chain restaurant... but I absolutely LOVE Cracker Barrel!!!! I got the Grandpa's special with chicken fried steak, gravy on the side, and cheesy grits... Everything was delicious! I love the old time country feel of the place and my very favorite part of CB is the country store. They have the best holiday decorations and believe it or not... KIDS CLOTHES!!!

My breakfast sandwich with eggs and chicken sausage. Hash browns casserole on the side. Delicious

Since the bistro at my hotel closed after 10, I decided to eat here for breakfast. I checked in, and got lucky to get seated immediately. I took the breakfast sandwich with egg and chicken sausage, and hash browns casserole on the side. It was about 13 dollars after taxes and tips. The chicken sausage was wonderful as it was juicy and plump. The sausage had a nice kick and great flavor of the chicken. I was also impressed with the hash browns casserole, which was seasoned well. The eggs was a bit runny, however still enjoyable. The bread was bit too sweet, so I left that out. The service was quick and very friendly. I was able to pay by mobile phone, so hopefully they knew I paid through there. The atmosphere is a typical Cracker Barrel, with the shop at the entrance, then the dining area afterwards. There could be a wait, but I got very lucky. It was within walking distance from my hotel, which made it so easy for me. I was quite impressed at the Cracker Barrel. The breakfast sandwich was good and not too expensive. One of these days, I I should look at their shop more and buy something. But for good breakfast food, I will definitely come back!

Ordered the 4-piece chciken to go with the side orders of Collard Greens and Macaroni for a little over $15. The taste was good and the service was fast. There are lots of CB merchandise at the store and gives that old-school ambiance in country vibe of the USA.

First time visiting and I had a great time. Restaurant was clean and welcoming and the server was super friendly. We ordered Sheperd's pie and Country Fried Steak which came with cornbread and biscuits and the fried onion app. The biscuits were amazing! Especially with the apple butter and/or gravy. I wasn't a fan of the cornbread but everything else was delicious. The Shepherd's pie had large chunks of tender beef and the hash brown topping was extra! The Country fried steak was also delicious. They give you such ample servings that we only were able to eat half and saved the rest for the next day. The fried onions were good but probably not necessary with all that we ordered. The server was nice enough to give us extra biscuits to take with us. Would definitely go again when I'm craving a comfy American meal. Oh and the store out front is so fun!

My husband and I were traveling and we did not expect to eat at Cracker Barrel for Valentine's Day, but we're sure glad we did! It's right next-door to our hotel with a four minute walk. Robbie was our waiter and he was very accommodating professional patient and knowledgeable of the menu. My husband had been craving catfish and he was so surprised to see it on the menu. I ordered the pot roast which was so tender and tasty. We also had a biscuits cornbread and two sides with our meals. That's a lot of food for a Valentine's Day dinner for two for $44! Cracker Barrel never disappoints as our meal came out within 10 to 15 minutes! And everything was nice and hot

The ONLY time of year that I come back to Cracker Barrel is during campfire chicken and beef. I wish they would have a year round! They lost me a long time ago when they stopped serving omelettes, English muffin, the Saturday chicken and rice with delicious gravy, the new one doesn't compare to what it used to be, in fact, it was terrible. For breakfast, I'd rather go to Waffle House and get fresh cooked bacon instead of oven bacon that's been sitting , an omelette of my choice and really good hashbrowns. Even their amazing pancakes at Cracker are ruined by the ice cold butter that you can't spread on it.

I've never had a bad meal here and that streak continued with my latest visit. They surprisingly weren't too crowded on a Sunday afternoon and we were able to get a table without any wait. The food was tasty as ever and I enjoyed the biscuits but you have to ask for them now, they don't automatically bring them to your table. The country ham was good as ever and is well cooked without being too salty or dry. The fried apples were tasty as ever, the grits were hot and fresh and the half-sweet half unsweet tea was just right. I'll be back here again for an enjoyable meal.

    Food

I am giving only one star because I have routinely had this store forget to include at least one food item I ordered via door dash. And they tend to over cook the chicken tenders all the time as well.

Supposed to be THREE SEPERATE PAID portions of biscuits and gravy.

I have always LOVED cracker barrel. From the food , down to the store and the staff. This time that was definitely not the case.. server seems robotic and scripted.. Then there's the food. Definitely not the same since the whole rebranding change stuff I guess ? Idk much about it not do I care , I care about the good food im used too ! Grits not even cooked. Hard uncooked bits all mixed in. We each (3 people) ordered hershalls breakfast or whatever... Didn't even get any biscuits to begin with ... Then the 3 of us were ALL missing the biscuits and gravy portion of our breakfast meal. When we asked about it , we were brought out ONE small side of gravy.. and 3/4 biscuits. In one basket. For 3 separate people who ordered it. That's ONE PORTION! NOT 3. They said it's "family style" but we weren't offered gravy refills ??? And if we got to go would have all had 3 separate portions of one WHOLE gravy each and 2 biscuits. Management just argued. Won't be back. Used to love it tho!

With this being my first visit, I went for the basics for my breakfast. The eggs, coffee and sausage were really good. I like my coffee a bit stronger, but that's a preference thing. The hash browns were so crispy, so tasty. Some of the best I've had. No soft middle, just cooked to perfection. The pancake fantastic as well. Great taste, great consistency, just a hint of sugar. Canopy Road Cafe is a really solid choice for your breakfast or brunch and I highly recommend you give them a try.

To start there's a whole lot more outdoor seating than there is indoor seating. Well inherently that's not a problem. I just found it unique. The staff was extremely nice at least our waitress was and overall no problem with the actual service we received. It was really well decorated. In fact, I would say arguably better decorated than some of the other locations for this particular chain that we have gone to. But the reason that it's only getting two stars instead of my typical five is the food. I ordered the biscuits and gravy and frankly when you're in the south that's something that should be a staple- this was a complete mess. There was either too much salt or too much pepper or maybe both? Which really left a lackluster taste I didn't even get through the first half of one of my biscuits. Biscuits seemed standard frozen biscuit fair for a breakfast establishment, unfortunately. And it's a vast contrast to some of the other places that used to be in Jacksonville or still are like Cracker Barrel or Village Inn- heck even Famos Amos has/had better biscuits and gravy. But for the fact that I didn't put anything on my eggs, which were delicious. I shouldn't be leaving this place with heartburn, considering I had a milk based gravy. The former city grits now bacon Gouda grits were OK but also very salty. Maybe too much bacon grease in it? I'm not sure. My partner says that his Benedict a shrimp Benedict something that's supposed to be there special for the season, was extremely sweet and the cherry tomatoes that he got were the most savory thing on his dish and he had shrimp Benedict with a side of cheese grits. There shouldn't really have been anything sweet in that dish, except maybe the hollandaise sauce. We were hoping to rekindle a classic taste from a familiar chain from our previous residence and enjoy brunch this morning. Maybe it was an off day for this particular location and if that's the case OK. However, due to this experience, we may not actually come back here. Paying $73 including tip for food that I can make better at home is not really my idea of a great breakfast. Kids oj was over $4. Plus $8 for her food. She took three bites and ate the bacon. Not a hit for her either.

Keke's Breakfast I thought would be in like of 1st Watch but it's more like Bob Evan's or Dennys…read more The inside of the restaurant is CLEAN with plenty of choices to sit. The menu is APPEALING. There are many options to choose from for breakfast or brunch. The Kids Menu also has descent. The food is SUBPAR. I could have done better at home. My order: French Toast with scrambled eggs and sliced tomatoes. The French Toast had an enticing presentation but the bread was HARD. I tried to drizzle in syrup to soften it until I gave up all together. I asked for scrambled eggs but I received a FLAT egg patty that taste DRY and reminded me of McDonald's. The tomato slices were hard and FRESH and the best part of my meal :-(. My drink was a sangria. It was OKAY. I'm convinced it was made with grape juice not wine. It was served picturesque and made for a nice pic. The service was not memorable. Overall, just a SIMPLE 3 STARS. Do not expect much here. The food is EDIBLE though.
