Stopped by Panama City Beach on the way back to the airport. Wanted to sit at the beach, but it was raining and raining and raining. A sudden torrential downpour. So, we changed our plans and headed for an inside breakfast instead. Waffle House is a bit of old fashioned nostalgia. Walked in and was warmly greeted. Wanted a booth, but was warned that we had to sit on one side because of a leaky window on the other side. That worked for us. He got eggs, toast and hash browns with a hot coffee. What did I get? Waffles of course! I had the SR special which was a waffle with pecans, hash browns and a hot tea. A nice deal for $8.75 on a rainy, rainy day in Panama City Beach. Loved the service! Lorri was so sweet and made sure that we were happy. The hot coffee kept coming. I took 1/2 of my waffle to go. Airplane snacks! It was nicely packed with a container of butter spread and waffle syrup. Thank you!! I wish I had asked for the names of the rest of the Waffle House team, but a big thank you. This was my sons first time at a Waffle House and we picked a great one! Staff and Service were 5 STAR, vibes were high, music from the jukebox was banger after banger! We were a few of the only guests in here around 11p on a Saturday evening. We'd been at a couple bars and beaching so this choice really hit the spot after a day in the ocean. We throughly enjoyed our choices. My son had a chocolate chip waffle, I had a pecan. We both did combos with various eggs, meats, hash browns and grits. Iykyk some Waffle Houses can get a wee bit questionable at certain hours of the night. This location was totally fine. I'll never not recommend a Waffle House, pretentious is one thing we aren't. $300 dinner, $30 dinner it's all the same to us so long as it taste yummy and this is a very yummy Waffle House. There aren't a lot of places around here that are open 24/7! So glad this place was! We wanted some breakfast around 3AM and went there. The place was neat and clean from the inside and we didn't have to wait to be served. We ordered their hash brown bowl that comes with egg, cheese and any meat you want. I didn't want the meat so just went with hash browns and eggs. I also ordered the pecan waffle on the side. Everything was prepared fresh and service was quick. This was right on point, from Dennis that was making sure the tables were ready for folks, to Ashley our waitress that took care of us to even Jeremy who stopped to chat just because. I saw everyone working their tails off on taking orders, prepping, calling out orders, cleaning, filling beverages. This was fast paced and I don't know how they did it. My girlfriends and I attended The Waffle House for a quick bite to eat. The waitress Dani is highly disrespectful and rude. First when walking in we were greeted by two ladies serving. We thought ok great vibes good energy. Dani came over asked for our drinks(never introduced herself). She repeated the order to us and proceed to get our drink. It was two hot teas w/lemon, three waters w/lemon, and a lemonade and coffee. She came back w/two lemonades, coffee, and fruit punch. We advised to her that we did not order then fruit punch. We said hot tea with lemon. Dani catches a attitude, we let her know what we would like again. We said amongst ourselves she repeated the order how she get it wrong. I have always considered Waffle House a staple. Something that could be relied upon , even during natural disasters. However, what I experienced was an unnatural experience of ambivalence and disregard. The food was awful, the service even worse. Fresh and random rules, after all, I ate their last night, with forced takeout and subpar food. What I got, I wouldn't feed to my dog. Moreover, the staff didn't care. If I were WH, I'd either fire everyone associated or shutter the store to salvage my reputation. I'd pick a dumpster before if eat there again. read more

To me, I'm not reviewing this so much on the quality but the service/prices. The 2 egg+side+side for $4 is hard to beat - especially the speed. I thought the waffles are overrated at this chain(from what others have told me) but I find the menu items to be good. I mean, it is a waffle house. We came during what must have been "people in their 40s acting like they are drunk teenagers night." There were just way too many people in their 40-50s trash talking and belligerently drunk. It was embarrassing for everyone lol. I salute the people working here for having to put up with way too many of that nonsense. As always, the hashbrowns are the bomb-diggity. I dont know of any other places that can make hashbrowns the way I want them other than WaHo. I asked for extra crispy, and that is exactly what I got... lol... although some parts were a bit burned off, I was a-ok with it. The food is highly greasy, and I cringed as I watched their female cook put in FIVE small ladles of oil for some scrambled eggs - oh my god!!! that made me so queasy. After several attempts to have the music turned down I was told everyone enjoyed it. The restaurant was hot even for Waffle House. I have never been treated this badly at a Waffle House before. We came in around 6pm tonight, and ordered our food. When it came the eggs were burnt and tasted expired, toast was burnt, and waffles were burnt. We sent the eggs back and asked for them to be re-cooked, and the cook immediately started fussing at us and the waitress and saying how we were being picky and the eggs weren't burnt. The other waitress was giving us crappy looks and trash talking us along with him. We had our friends with us and four small kids. My friends husband came up to the cook and told him why we sent the eggs back and the cook immediately started yelling at him and telling him to go sit back down and tried to start a fight with him. We just got up and started to leave because we didn't want to hear the man cussing and shouting at us. As we were walking out the cook started coming out from behind the counter acting like he was gonna follow us out and threatening us. I told him I was going to call the cops if he came any closer. He stopped and turned around, but he kept cussing and yelling at us as we rushed the kids out of the door to our cars. He needs to be fired, and the manger needs to find a cook that knows how to cook. I have tasted burnt eggs before and those were not only burnt brown they had a chemical aftertaste. We could have had him arrested for cussing around our kids and trying to assault us. I have never had such a rude and terrible experience at Waffle House before. read more

I came down to PC Beach with a few of my friends. While my friend was competing in the Iron Man, the rest of us had breakfast. Our salesperson (not waitress), Brenda served us. I ordered the All Star Special breakfast with a waffle, hash browns, sausage, toast, and over easy eggs. Time passed and we noticed that every one who had arrived after us were already eating! On top of that, we noticed the grill wasn't fired up any more. We asked Brenda if our order was ready and she quickly apologized and made sure our order was being cooked. She came on by later and stated that all of our meals would be taken care of! Wow! We didn't expect that! It was a nice surprise. Overall, it was a good first dining experience despite having to wait a little longer for our food. One thing that I missed out on was the waffle. I think Brenda forgot, but I let it go since the meals were all free. We decided to go for a second visit two days later and we had Brenda again! She remembered us! Of course we were probably one of the very few Asian people she served, so how could she forget? :) I got the All Star Special again and this time I got to try the waffle - not too sweet or dry, perfect texture of crispy and softness. The waffle was worth the second visit! :) Brenda was awesome. She took the time to make sure she got our order right. She even stopped by to chat with us. As we parted ways, Brenda came out and returned the camera my friend left at the table - it was supposed to be her big tip. Brenda helped us take pictures in front of Waffle House - she's so sweet. This was one of the better of the three we stopped at along our route from NYC to Florida.Sunday morning and we got the A Team: Quick service, correct orders (for once!), and smiling faces. They're a little slow to refill the coffee, so don't count on multiple cups. It's in, eat, and out, as evident by the line out the door. It's a good show. Good biscuits and grits with toppings.
