I had not planned on going to a chain restaurant for breakfast this morning. But, the area is lacking independent restaurants. So, since it had been years since I've been to a Waffle House, I decided to try this one. When I walked in, one of the servers told me that I could have a seat anywhere. So, I had a seat at the counter. I think I surprised my waitress, when I told her no coffee. Then, I ordered a sausage, eggs & cheese hashbrowns Bowl, with a small orange juice and milk. One thing for sure, I cannot complain about the breakfast not being hot! It went from the Griddle, to the plate, to in front of me, in about 20 seconds after it was cooked. It was very tasty. And while I was hungry, it really was too much for me to finish. However, I cannot give 5 stars, as when I walked in, two tables were dirty with either dishes, or spilled Foods. Now, there was a staff of 8 people working, and it took at least 10 minutes before the one table was cleaned off. And another 3 or 4 minutes, before the other table was cleaned. And no, the place was not crowded either. That were only 4 customers, including me. And despite a couple of pieces of paper towel on the floor, the bathroom was clean. read more

Terrible customer service. I arrived on 12/17 just after an apparent shift change around 2:30 PM, and got treated by the server with nothing but contempt. No eye contact, and I was serviced AFTER two other guys at the bar table were served, and had their orders taken. The server (I'll only describe her as the young & very good looking female) pretty much ignored me the entire time while she chatted with the other two guys. After my order was pushed off to the side of me rather than front, she never looked my way again. I practically begged for a refill of water. I was a bit surprised that another server attended to me twice during the time I sat at the bar eating my Fiesta omelette, hash browns with sausage, and single waffle. The inattentive server sat with a couple of other servers discussing who much money this store made on this day (about $1,600) in comparison to another store in Denton ($4,000). She really just didn't care about her lone customer at the bar area. When it came time to pay, another server cashed me out. I asked her point blank what the other server's problem was, to which she said that sometimes she forgets stuff. I told this server that she was incredibly unattentive to me as opposed to the other two guys. This reflected her tip (zero), of which I rarely do unless the service is really bad. I cannot justify tipping anyone when not only did I receive mediocre/bad service, yet hardly any service at all at that. What was worse was that the other two guys that arrived after me received so much better service, while I just received a contemptuous attitude in a silent "FU, guy" attitude. Overall, the meal was fine. However, I was treated as if I had something wrong with me. I had just driven 6 hours from Pecos, and eating my first real meal of the day. I even had the choice of choosing On The Border for lunch, and I regret not making that choice after receiving this type of mediocre customer service. Please choose another venue option when considering this location in Weatherford. I sincerely hope that this server sometime in life realizes how I feel by receiving the exact same bad service that I did on this day. Terrible, terrible, TERRIBLE!!!! read more

A year ago I went up there late with a coupe of friends comeing from a house party we came in and sat down me and one of my friends from my table got up and went to the bathroom and the food was just set down I took a bight from my sandwich before walking away while I was in the bathroom and my two friends by boyfriend had to go to the bathroom as well when I came out my boyfriend was done to we came back to the table and our food was gone she came back and was like I thought Yall left would you like me to make you guy yalls food again I said yes I don't know why you threw is away we were gone Maybe 5 mins not long at all she replied with well I'm sorry I thought you left with a adittude and keep in mind we came in with a big group so there's no way she thought we left if our hole group was sitting out there . Took a walk down memory lane/college days w/ hubby who spoke of eating at a WH in Arlington. My 1st and only experience at a WH was in 2014 when I ate a delicious choc chip waffle at a different WH in the city. So, on a whim we stopped here, crowded, not much seating, and there was a wait for a table so we sat at the bar. Servers were super nice, service w/a smile esp guy named Clayton and another server helped me up on to the stool. I was curious to see what a steak would taste like so I ordered the steak, hash w/ gravy, and toast. He ordered the eggs, hash w/cheese, toast, and choc. chip waffle. As my hubby said it's good, cheap diner food when you're hungry and broke. LOL! Not gourmet but satisfying. Bill was $23. We tipped to $30 bc servers worked hard and were so friendly. read more

This location is disgusting. There is dirt and grime everywhere you look. Basically looks like the table tops are the only thing that gets cleaned. The glass of water came with something black floating in it that was not pepper. The eggs came with a free hair in them. I watched condiment bottles be placed back under the counter without being cleaned after being used by customers; in this time of COVID-19 this is unacceptable. Great heavens at this location i had the most life changing experience. My friends and i came here after a playoff game and it was my very first time at waffle house. It was like 11pm but the atmosphere was godly and the employees were chill asf. I got a waffle and bacon and eggs and i ate dat shit up and left no crumbs. Highly recommend coming here at night but never in the day time because night time is when the true waffle house experience really happens. read more

I got to experience my first east coast drive from the west, final destination to Washington DC. All my experienced friends say if you're on the road you have got to try the "Waffle House" ~ now if you are on the 1-10, 20, 30, 40....this joint is on every other stop. Well we happen to be passing through Weathersford, TX en route to Dallas and it was about that time to get a full meal with all the fixins' so Waffle House it was. It was a good change of pace from what place I've been dining in. It was pure Americana, the grill is out there in the open and your meals are made to order. Tiny lil place - our table was too small to fit all 4.5 of us (me, the hubs - the sis/bro in law and the .5 are their 3 and 2 year old boys ha!) Our waitress "Bianca" was a hoot, checked up on us every other minute!!! I ordered the Chop Steak Dinner, chop steak was patties of ground beef - reminded me of the Hawaiian Moco Loco minus the gravy. I had to add my A-1 to give it more flavor. But what I need to rave on is how they handle their Hashbrowns....you got choices of Scattered, Smothered, Covered, Chunked, Diced, Peppered, Capped, Scattered all the way - your choice for 0.25 each. I had mine "diced" which had diced tomatoes. I had to get a side of waffles! Had the Chocolate Chip waffles, ate a few and saved the rest for the road. Good stuff. A must try. It beats Denny's and IHop for Breakfast handsdown. But to try the Waffle House you need to venture out of Sunny California and head east. They are everywhere. read more

Stephanie was our waitress. Because of her positive attitude, and helpful ways with customers AND other employees is why I rate Waffle House 4 stars. She was right there with a smile and menus the moment we sat down. Brought the drinks to us quickly; and left us alone for the few minutes we needed to order. The food? Today was not Waffle House's day for 5 stars. In the past I have been crazy about the waffles. Today, they didn't taste as good. The blueberries didn't seem as fresh and plump; and the waffles were a little uncooked. Not much. But enough to not taste perfect. This was my husband's 2nd visit with me and he asked me not to bring him back. I don't think I will be begging for it next time we drive through Weatherford, so "no problem honey." Oh! The ham! We both ordered ham. It was salty and tough. We were not impressed. I don't want to think about, or smell ham for awhile. I guess we should have tried the Hash Brown bowls. Heard that they are good. This Waffle House was the 1st I'd been to in 5 years. It did not disappoint! It was slow in the restaurant and the staff was extremely friendly and patient with my kids who had never been before. The last time we came here, their staff was super slow to clear off tables. To the point I almost cleared our own table off. I definitely recommend keeping an eye on this, especially when several tables are covered in empty dishes, a line of people waiting and it not being as busy as it normally is. We also don't like the fact there is only 3 big tables enough for a family, we sucked it up because we drove from granbury and were starving and sat at a table probably meant for 2, my husband and I sat on the outside to ensure the kids didn't fall off the seat. We have better balance. The food is always on point and delicious!!! My husband and I always get the texas bacon egg and cheese melt. Creatures of habit, we've had everything but that's our favorite. Since when are customers permitted to bring their dogs into the restaurant, sit in the booth, and be greeted by the waitress and night manager, stating how cute the dog is??? It's not a service dog! How can an employee let a 7lb terrier sit at the table, be handed food to eat, and not say anything, like I need for you to take your dog back outside. Would things be different if a health inspecter was in the Restraunt? I've eaten at his waffle house enough to know some of the employees by name, and liked eating there. BUT NO MORE! I hv not had a more disappointing restaurant experience than this morning at Waffle House in Weatherford. My husband and I ordered blue berry waffles with a meat, 2 eggs, hash browns and toast. All three of us ordered orange juice. The OJ came in warm (from the dish washer I suspect) glasses that immediately melted the ice and left the juice warm. Our server disappeared so we asked another server for glasses of ice which she quickly brought. When our server finally brought our food all my husband and I got was the waffle. No bacon or sausage (which I like to eat with the waffle). When the meat and eggs didn't follow we slowly began eating the waffle. We were well finished when the rest of the food arrived with apologies from the server for how long it took. My husband had to leave while my daughter and I were still eating because he said the poor service put him in a very fowl mood. Since we r traveling by RV for the next two days that's not what u want to hear. Nevertheless we won't be stopping at anymore Waffle Houses on this trip. read more

The restaurant was not busy and we were seated immediately. The waitress did not come over for nearly 10 minutes to get our order. The waitress brought the two grandchildren's waffles first. She forgot the bacon and it was undercooked when she served it. We waited another 15 minutes for our waffles. When the waitress finally brought our burnt waffles, she immediately said "Sorry about the burned waffles, but I took 10% off your bill.
