This place is my new jam. Let's face the facts: this isn't the same batter you get at a Sunday brunch buffet. This is the good stuff and as such, it's priced accordingly. The service is friendly and the place is setup okay. I do think they should unbolt the tables or remove one. It seemed a little too cozy and difficult to move chairs comfortably without hitting the table behind you. We had a Liege, cinnalove, and nuttela. They were all good and I urge you try just the Liege to appreciate the essence of Waffle Love. The waffle looks standard but the difference is found in the bite. These things are chewy, not dry. The sweetness is just right and doesn't taste like candy. From there you will certainly love the variations. I have yet to try the savory offerings and will update my review afterwards. Coke drinks are served here. read more

Omgoodness, these waffles are perfectly sweet and delicious. We ordered the banana cream and original, both were fantastic. I loved the light caramelized waffle crust, and the fresh fruits on top made the sweet treat refreshing. One waffle is quite filling. I almost couldn't finish mine because I felt full quickly bite after delicious bite. Customer service was excellent as well. I will be happily back! read more

Fortunately I was recommended by a friend because from the looks of this place I wouldn't have stopped in my own. The three of us each got something different and all shared. The waffles are to die for and the whip cream is homemade. The lemoncurd and quality of their fruit was great as well. My favorite was probably the grilled cheese. I'd recommend this place to anyone and will be back for more! Only suggestion is add a price to your menu to aid in decision making and also so the bill isn't a surprise. read more

I saw them on food network and couldn't believe they were just right down the street from me. I love waffles and was super excited to give them a try. My cousins and I decided to give it a try last night. There wasn't a lot of people so it was great. We all got a little food greedy and order a waffle each. You should order to share. They are very generous with their ice cream. The waffle was good but I prefer mine to be crispy rather than soggy. The ice cream makes the waffle a little soggy. Everything was good and it wasn't too sweet. We were all so full and couldn't finish our waffles. I think it is definitely worth a try. They have savory waffles as well so I think next time I will give them a try. read more

Service was good , gave this spot a second chance , since the one in Valencia closes @6 we said let go for a drive down there, my wife got the waffle which where good , I got the nash but came home and saw both side of the bun completely burnt and hard to eat . I was going to call and complain but what for. We won't be going to this location , might as well waited to go to the one in Valencia the next day. I tried to pick off the burnt parts but it was completely hard and couldn't eat it. Very disappointed... read more

It was rainy and I was craving a grilled cheese and tomato soup, so I ended up at Waffle Love during my break from school. The guy at the register was very friendly. I ordered their grilled cheese waffle with the homemade tomato bisque. With tax, the order came out to around $11 which I felt was a bit overpriced. My food was ready in about 5 minutes. The grilled cheese waffle was flavorful and very tasty. The tomato bisque was good too, but a bit too acidic. One thing that bugged me was the fact that I left smelling HEAVILY like food. Perhaps they should try and implement a better ventilation system. read more

Saw this place for the first time when I moved into the apartment nearby. Tried the Nutella/strawberry waffle, the breakfast Sammy with bacon, and the grilled cheese with tomato bisque. Everything was delicious! The waffles were perfectly sweet and fluffy in every single one. Our favorite was the breakfast Sammy - perfectly balanced with savory and sweet. The decor in this place is very unique. The location is a decent size and has many beautiful paintings. Great for a date. The food was also very exquisite. The batter used for the waffles was very pleasing to the taste buds. It was nice and fluffy and ripped apart easily and they have a variety of different condiment option you can add to the waffles. My girlfriend said that she enjoyed the seasoning on the chicken from the chicken and waffles. And I loved the banana cream pie waffle because it has Nutella inside the waffle which was a nice surprise. Overall this place had little to no flaws would definitely come again. read more

Went in with my brother as we were craving something sweet. We ordered the "Nutella Love Waffle" along with the "Red Wonder Waffle." We didn't wait long till we received our lovely decorated waffles. I enjoyed how much they topped the crispy brown waffles with a mountain of fruit but it was just enough. The whipped cream was so creamy & light. I love waffle love, I came here with my family one day, just on a whim. I ended up loving it. The people here are friendly and always attentive. However, the prices are a bit high for what it is. $11-$14 waffles with some toppings is kinda.... Steep. I love it and don't come at frequently as I'd like to for that reason. The workers here seem happy so that must mean they're in a great work environment! (Right??) If you gotta charge higher prices to pay your worker's fair wages...I'M ALL FOR IT!!!! read more

Cute little place with friendly staff and delicious food! Got the churro waffle and added ice cream, banana and whipped cream on top. It was sooo good, crunchy waffle, good size and the toppings all tasted great. Also got the grilled cheese and I gotta say it was scrumptious. Crunchy waffle as bread, hot tasty cheese and that sauce was stole the show. Washed it down with a soda. They had a table out back where the parking is. If you are feeling a bit adventurous for your breakfast/Brunch or even late desert. I highly recommend giving this place a try! "And More!" I ordered the chicken and waffles which I found to be delicious! From the chicken perfectly cooked to the waffles/ice cream/whipped cream/dulce de leche all delicious and well presented!! Lord have mercy on my body fat. Eat these waffles at your own risk of rehab-facility-in-Utah level addiction. I didn't know what a "Liege" waffle was. I just knew that I loved those sugary waffles at Jamba Juice and that they were genius for inventing them. Well they didn't invent them. It's a Belgian waffle made with sugar pearls that ooze out in the waffle maker and caramelize the whole bit until it's golden tan, crispy and worthy of total crack addiction. I got the plain waffle because that was my approach to figuring out, at a base level, what the the heck the big deal was. It was good and very sweet ALL by itself. THEY HAVE FRIED CHICKEN. And it smells SO good. The price can't be found anywhere but it's about $10 with a waffle, too. Thoughts driving home: 1) Okay that was $4...I can buy 5 for the week and that's only $20. Not bad for a waffle budget (right?) 2) How bad is it REALLY if I eat one every single day? 3) I thought you weren't gonna eat refined sugar or gluten anymore. (Also me: shut up Annie, life is short.) 4) What time can I make it back there tomorrow? God that was so good. 5) My god...that was so good. 6) Why didn't I just get the fried chicken too? I would totally leave 6 stars if I could this place is awesome!! The breakfast Sammy's are bomb and the staff are amazing. Highly highly recommend. Some more savory options would hit the spot to come more often for lunchtime and have some variety but the menu as is is already really good. Super delicious & not too sweet. My waffle was called the sunshine it has raspberries, house-made lemon curd and whipped cream. The server was super nice and let me try some of the lemon before I chose. Waffles range between $8-$10 but they are filling and worth it. Always wanted to try this place but we were less than impressed. Extremely small portions for $34 worth of food. I had the breakfast plate, food was very bland and my eggs were burnt. We also got the churro waffle that was very small and hard as a rock, neither of us could eat it. My husband ordered the bisque with the smallest cup of soup I've ever seen come with a meal. Can't say we'd try this again. I don't think I've ever seen a rewards program pin my credit card info either.. I don't like that at all so I deleted it, but if I hadn't clicked the links in the txt messages I would've never known. read more

Riding from riverside to Fresno! Hell yeah we stopped here!!! Our meals rocked. Hubby had the Sammy, it's very filling he is a big eater and all most couldn't Finnish it. Wow. I ordered my food to go and I live about 20 mins away and it held up nice. A bit of a wait, so I recommend ordering in advance because they are busy. Chicken and waffles bomb. Red wonder bomb. I'm sad that they are closed Sundays, because of course I'm always craving it on Sunday. Anyhow, some tall blondish dude took my order and he was very nice! On that visit, I met Joyce the owner, and she happily served me my meal that day, and I had an exceptional experience. I left Joyce's coffee shop a very satisfied five star review later that day. The last time I came, Joyce was not present again (she works weekends). Today I tried to visit Joyce again, but forgot she works weekends--but today I met Ms. Faith. Faith's customer service was above and beyond. The warmth. The friendliness. The pride in her work and her role in the Joyce's Coffee Shop family. The joy. The most charming smile and energy. The enthusiasm. The work ethic. I wanted Faith to join me for my meal, but she never stopped working, and she had no break planned. Faith is actually a former bartender with many years of experience. She made millions of dollars in tips over the years, because all the drunks would fall in love and hand their wallets over to Faith. She was great at what she did. Patrons would go to her bar, sit down, and blackout just because they were there to chat with Faith for as long as possible. Of course they couldn't just sit there--so they'd just order drink after drink. And drink. And tip. And then ATM. And then more drinks with Faith. Tips tips tips. Faith made millions as a bartender (that's how she bought her Bentley coupe). As a bartender, she even got a 3 wedding proposals, and 4 "modeling" offers . And Faith LEFT the money and the fame--once she discovered Joyce's Coffee Shop. Faith knew she wanted to be in that warm, friendly and welcoming atmosphere--as often as possible. Faith applied for work at Joyce's, then followed-up daily with Joyce's for 2 weeks--and ultimately earned herself a spot on Team JCS. The food was 5-stars--as always. It's as goods as eggs, bacon, sausage, pancakes and hot coffee get. The environment was another 5-stars--always clean, always welcoming and always playing carefully curated playlists of yesterday's biggest hits. Joyce's Coffee Shop has been in business since 1955, and they've done such a great job of not only preserving the original dining room setup and upholstery, but also the original owner's commitment and dedication to great food in a welcoming environment--produced and served by the best customer service. And sitting in Joyce's Coffee Shop is like sitting in a blast from the past. It's classic. It's retro. It's vintage. It's well-preserved. Joyce's Coffee Shop is part of San Fernando Valley history. It's kinda like a Valley historical landmark. It's definitely a San Fernando Valley treasure. There were 6 registers: 5 are for the pre-order/pre-paid, and the 1 was for the walk-ins. The issue is that the walk-in line is super long, while the pre-order/pre-paid line had no more than between 6 to 8 people. Staff on the 5 registers informed walk-in customers that management told them they are only ring up pre-order/pre-pay. Meanwhile, walk-in customers would suffer because of some idiotic management decision, and they are too obtuse to fix a simple problem to solve. RIDICULOUS!!! Lesson learned, best to pre-order/pre-pay for next year at least 2 week ahead. If you wait too late, they will not accept anymore pre-order/pre-pay. The good news: we very much enjoyed the honey baked ham, pork roast, mash & gravy, and baby back ribs were awesome!!!
