If you're craving waffles this is thd place to go! The freshly made waffles topped with your favorite fruit and whipped cream is simply divine. It's a small shop but it is cute inside. Service was quick and friendly. Free parking in the back

Talk about love... waffle love that is! I've been coming here for years and it's become one of my favorite treats. I never knew I could love waffles as much as I do but after discovering all the yummy variations they concocted here I'm sold. Their menu is pretty straight forward with sweet waffles and then some savory options like chicken and waffles, avocado toast and even a chicken sandwich. Their hours have changed recently so make sure to check before coming that they are open. Usually they close early in the early afternoon. I have found street parking every time I have come here but they also have a lot behind the restaurant. Now for the good stuff... my recommendations on what to get. I started here by getting the Nutella Love (a fan favorite) which is a fresh waffle topped with Nutella, house made whipped cream and your choice of fruit- I usually go for banana because that combo is fire. But since being gifted a Red Wonder waffle for my birthday I have been converted. This waffle is honestly what dreams are made of. It's a fresh waffle topped with Biscoff cookie butter spread, house made whipped cream, strawberries and raspberries. I can't explain the explosion of flavors it offers. You just have to try it for yourself! If you're a fan of ice cream I've also had the delicious Dulce waffle which is a cinnamon sugar waffle topped with pseudo-fried ice cream, whipped cream and dulce de leche caramel. It's also delicious! I just realized they have seasonal flavors too. So if you come in the fall there's a good chance you can get a pumpkin spread topped waffle. The servers are always friendly and happy to offer suggestions as to which one you may like. But take it from me... the Red Wonder waffle is the perfect starting point to start your menu explorations. There are a few Waffle Love locations throughout the US. But after the permanent closing of the Santa Clarita location, this is the only one left standing in SoCal. So get yourself here and fall in love with Waffle Love just like I did!

Really yummy! Both of our waffles were delicious. There wasn't a big drink menu which was a little disappointing as I was craving a coffee haha but the food made up for it. We arrived at 12:30 and just after 1 it got incredibly packed!

For grilled cheese sandwich lovers like myself, Waffle Love is the absolute Mecca. They put their own twist on it, but man, do they have something special. The bread is actually a perfectly-toasted croissant belgian waffle and it's filled with muenster and provolone cheeses, along with some garlic butter. The creation is unparalleled. You take a bite and it's buttery-crunchy and then your tastes buds hit that heavenly cheese inner layer and it's game over- Frank the Tank came out, the flavor party has started and it isn't looking to end. Plethora of savory notes and a hint of sweet from the waffle, along with the marriage of smooth cheese and crunchy waffle textures, makes this grilled cheese a masterpiece. Although this spot has multiple options for waffles, the grilled cheese is truly my favorite. And as a bonus, it comes with their hearty, homemade tomato bisque. When you get here, there is parking in the back, you walk in and order at the counter. There is always a kind, smiling face to greet you and take your order. You afterwards sit down at one of their 8 tables and await your culinary masterpiece. The vibes here are always positive and you feel very comfortable being here. I will definitely return for more!

Repeat offender here! It's my daughter's favorite breakfast restaurant and we can't get enough... we came this morning because she had been requesting to come and when this girl wants something, she usually gets it! The usuals are on the menu for the kids which is the Nutella love! Strawberries are a must but on today's meal, the NASH stole the show! Massive sandwich for the non sweet teeth people and it was definitely a showstopper! Two huge decadent pieces of chicken tucked in between the brioche smashed between some coleslaw and some amazing sauce... it was worth every penny and my husband was one happy camper. Also, opted for dessert so you know he had a great meal! It was a splendid experience to say the least! Staff is super friendly and on it cranking out fresh hot meals... plenty of parking out back as well

Pretty good food and honestly super cheap! The red wonder had yummy fresh fruit and a Biscoff spread I have never seen a restaurant put on a waffle before haha! It was yummy! Of course the menu is mainly waffles duh haha. But they do have a few other options as well. And another perk to this place is that they give you free coffee! I have not been to any restaurant that does this! And the coffee was actually good, they provide cream and sugar as well! Service wise it's very casual, just order at the front, pick up your food, choose your own table. Inside is also very casual, a good amount of tables, but I wouldn't say great for a huge group. There is parking in the back which is nice for this area. Overall I really liked this place! Great quality for a great price!

If you love waffles, a visit to Waffle Love is a must! They offer both savory breakfast waffles with egg and bacon as well as sweet ones. I ordered the Red Wonder, which comes with strawberries and raspberries and it was delicious! They also have canned sodas, bottled waters, and bottled milk available. It is near CSUN and they have a small parking lot in the back. I visited on a Friday around 11am, while there was no line when I arrived, all the tables inside were taken. A couple of people had their laptops out and were getting work done there.

Important update for gluten free friends! They no longer have GF options. Such a bummer.

Finally made an excuse to go to Waffle Love and it was soooo good. You have to choose between sweet or savory. I went with savory because I was craving it in the moment but could have easily gone to the sweet side. Service at the counter was super friendly and they had a free cup of coffee in the morning. It's a really cool vibe location with some tables. I was surprised that other customers were around my age and not college students because CSUN is near I did the breakfast Sammie with avocado instead of bacon or sausage. It was delicious. Super filling. Didn't eat lunch that day. Love Waffle Love.

The vibes here are great, the staff was welcoming, & the food looked & tasted delicious. It's a nice cozy spot off of reseda & the time it took for our food to come out didn't take long. The grilled cheese waffle was absolutely tasty especially because it's paired with the bisque. creamy, tasty, & flavorful. I would definitely get this again

Friendly staff, fast service and fabulous food at reasonable prices. Ambiance is a very small busy restaurant. Not very many tables. Lots of orders to go or being picked up. Large parking lot behind the restaurant makes it very convenient. If you do eat there, you get complimentary black coffee! We had a Red Wonder and The Works waffles. Both were delicious. We plan on coming back to try some of the other Sweet and Savory flavors.

Tasty freshly made to order waffles, with both sweet and savory options! Friendly service and they offer free coffee while you wait. Really enjoyed everything. Smaller place with a few tables in the side for seating. Would come back!

Loveee Waffle Love! The best waffles in town with sweet and savory options! My go-to has got to be the Red Wonder, which comes with raspberries, strawberries, whipped cream, and cookie butter -- delicious! I do wish they were open late hours again because I always crave a waffle after dinner. Overall, great service and cute, casual ambiance. A true local gem!

Ask the Community - Waffle Love

    Do you serve gluten-free waffles?

While we don't offer gluten free waffles, we are happy to provide whipped cream and a fruit cup to any guests that must have gluten free.

Is this the same Waffle Love from the Great Food Truck Race?

Yes same waffle love as great food truck race.

Is there any seating inside the store right now due to covid?

Yes ate there about a week ago and they had indoor seating available.

What are your gluten free options?

While we don't offer gluten free waffles, we are happy to provide whipped cream and a fruit cup to any guests that must have gluten free.

    Are your waffles Belgian waffles?

Yes! Our sweet waffles are. They are liege waffles, which are made from a yeast risen dough with Belgian pearl sugars mixed in. We also offer a croissant waffle for savory dishes like the grilled cheese sandwich.

    Do they allow dogs?

Thanks so much for asking. Service dogs only, please!

Do they still serve coffee? Don't see on menu.

    Yes!

    Do they offer vegan waffles?

    No, they do not.

Hello, Waffle Love has complimentary coffee, does anyone knows what flavor/brand coffee is? I really love the flavor!!!

I asked and he said it's from Costco and said ya when I suggested Kirkland brand

Does Waffle Love have gluten free options? I realize most restaurants these days have at least 1-2 gluten free options, but thought I would ask here before driving to the restaurant. I looked at the online menus, but couldn't find one for California.

I don't think they do but you should call them and ask before you do anything.

    Anything vegan friendly?

Hi there! Unfortunately at this time we have no vegan waffles on the menu. Some of our toppings may be of interest to you; you could order a fruit cup full of helpings of fresh fruit, or we can slice an avocado for you and lightly salt it. Hope that…

It's closed went twice a week apart?

    They are close on Sunday.

Who's taken the plunge and enjoyed some Waffle Love?

    Me

I saw the menu, no mention of a gluten free waffle. Do they offer that?

    Yes, they do.

I can't seem to find a menu anywhere?

www.waffluv.com - it has menus for their AZ and UT locations. Basically the same menu at Northridge - and Northridge does have the savory grilled cheese & tomato soup and the egg sandwich.

Do they have savory options? My husband and I both have issues with sugar.

The northridge location offers a grilled cheese waffle with a tomato bisque. I think the long beach one has chicken and waffles.

Located in the Encino Town Center, I am so happy that my daughter recommended this restaurant. The interior of the restaurant is large, with numerous well-stocked tables and many more tables located outside for patio dining. There also appeared to be a mid-sized banquet room off to one side, behind closed doors, which several guests were exiting to use the restrooms. The entire staff was very friendly, hard-working, and attentive to each of their assigned tables. The specialty here is the waffles; however, their menu is HUGE!!! It offers guests a variety of other food options, including pancakes, salads, omelets, crepes, and more. My family and I ordered Nutella crepes, peach waffles, frittata, and seasoned potatoes. Each item was DELICIOUS, fresh, and well prepared. We plan to return here soon to try other great-sounding options on the menu. This was a very positive dining experience.

On that visit, I met Joyce the owner, and she happily served me my meal that day, and I had an exceptional experience. I left Joyce's coffee shop a very satisfied five star review later that day. The last time I came, Joyce was not present again (she works weekends). Today I tried to visit Joyce again, but forgot she works weekends--but today I met Ms. Faith. Faith's customer service was above and beyond. The warmth. The friendliness. The pride in her work and her role in the Joyce's Coffee Shop family. The joy. The most charming smile and energy. The enthusiasm. The work ethic. I wanted Faith to join me for my meal, but she never stopped working, and she had no break planned. Faith is actually a former bartender with many years of experience. She made millions of dollars in tips over the years, because all the drunks would fall in love and hand their wallets over to Faith. She was great at what she did. Patrons would go to her bar, sit down, and blackout just because they were there to chat with Faith for as long as possible. Of course they couldn't just sit there--so they'd just order drink after drink. And drink. And tip. And then ATM. And then more drinks with Faith. Tips tips tips. Faith made millions as a bartender (that's how she bought her Bentley coupe). As a bartender, she even got a 3 wedding proposals, and 4 "modeling" offers . And Faith LEFT the money and the fame--once she discovered Joyce's Coffee Shop. Faith knew she wanted to be in that warm, friendly and welcoming atmosphere--as often as possible. Faith applied for work at Joyce's, then followed-up daily with Joyce's for 2 weeks--and ultimately earned herself a spot on Team JCS. The food was 5-stars--as always. It's as goods as eggs, bacon, sausage, pancakes and hot coffee get. The environment was another 5-stars--always clean, always welcoming and always playing carefully curated playlists of yesterday's biggest hits. Joyce's Coffee Shop has been in business since 1955, and they've done such a great job of not only preserving the original dining room setup and upholstery, but also the original owner's commitment and dedication to great food in a welcoming environment--produced and served by the best customer service. And sitting in Joyce's Coffee Shop is like sitting in a blast from the past. It's classic. It's retro. It's vintage. It's well-preserved. Joyce's Coffee Shop is part of San Fernando Valley history. It's kinda like a Valley historical landmark. It's definitely a San Fernando Valley treasure. It's on its 4th owner, and it was never sold to a new owner that wasn't fully committed to the original owner's original mission. The diner mission of "as good as it gets," and "keeping it that way"--I love that. All staff is warm, friendly and welcoming. Even the customers are warm, friendly and welcoming--they all seem to know exactly where they are, and thats why they are there. Have you ever watched the classic TV show "Cheers"? That show about a bar where everybody knows your name? Just like that TV bar, Joyce's gives that "local feel"--the best feel. You'll never get that at Denny's, IHOP or Norms. I live in Woodland Hills so I'm rarely in Northridge, but if I am around in the AM or lunchtime -- I hope to visit again. Food -- 5 stars (I'm still stuffed) Environment -- 5 Stars (clean & cool) Service -- 5 [hearts on fire emoji] 5 stars -- (only because I can't give 6) PS: I forgot to mention that Mrs. Joyce's husband Mr. Joyce is the head chef at JCS. I forgot to mention this because I have yet to meet Mr. Joyce--but I guess Mr. Joyce's reputation will precede him in my case, (that's if I ever even get a chance to meet Mr. Joyce). Not only is Mr. Joyce the head chef, he's there 7 days a week, making somebody's love-made food. And for anyone that could not connect these dots: he doesn't work 7 days a week because he has to. Mr. Joyce works 7 days a week because there's nothing he would rather be doing, than preparing someone's great food with total care, at a business that's known for customers leaving with huge smiles for many decades. Nothing makes Mr. Joyce happier than ensuring everything coming out of JCS is "5 Star Quality"--as good as it could possibly get. He does it because the San Fernando Valley is lucky to have Joyce's Coffee Shop. 5 STARS.

I originally discovered this spot when I noticed a line of people around the block right before…read moreThanksgiving. I then learned that they are known for their honey baked ham and that they serve a mean breakfast. Today I stopped by for the first time to give it a try. I went with honey baked ham Benedict with a side of hash browns. The portion was of a good size and visually looked great. The benedict tasted pretty good, with its yummy lemony hollandaise sauce, toasted muffin and the famous honey baked ham. However, the ham was a bit on the drier side and I was really hoping it would be more juicy. The hash browns too, were a bit dry. Still a good meal, but I like mine to be more tender and juicier. The seating area has around 8 tables, with a decor of an older diner. The service was friendly and fast. I may try this spot again--maybe a sandwich this time.

This review is fo my last visit which was 2 days before Thanksgiving 2025…read more I got there 10 minutes before they officially opened, and the line was already out on the sidewalk. I finally got to the counter to place my order 2 hours after opening. No issue with waiting in line considering the Thanksgiving crowd. The issue I have is how management dealt with dealing with the lines. There were 2 lines: pre-order/pre-paid or walk-ins. There were 6 registers: 5 are for the pre-order/pre-paid, and the 1 was for the walk-ins. The issue is that the walk-in line is super long, while the pre-order/pre-paid line had no more than between 6 to 8 people. Staff on the 5 registers informed walk-in customers that management told them they are only ring up pre-order/pre-pay. Meanwhile, walk-in customers would suffer because of some idiotic management decision, and they are too obtuse to fix a simple problem to solve. RIDICULOUS!!! Lesson learned, best to pre-order/pre-pay for next year at least 2 week ahead. If you wait too late, they will not accept anymore pre-order/pre-pay. The good news: we very much enjoyed the honey baked ham, pork roast, mash & gravy, and baby back ribs were awesome!!!
