I went in for dinner and was waiting for 20 minutes another couple came in after me and took an empty table that had just been cleared. Instead of the hostess saying anything she handed them menus and told me it would a bit longer she was waiting for someone else to leave, leaving me to wait. Kids got their meal about 15 minutes before we adults got ours. That was fine tho. Gave us a chance to feed them. I still had hope for this place. We were seated in the back with a ceiling fan full blast. We were all freezing. I asked our waitress to turn it off. Waitress said she would pass out if she had to turned it off. Kids had to eat with their jackets on. I asked for crackers and plastic to-go bags for bibs. Took her 30 minutes to give us both. Service was horrendous. Maybe we aren't regulars but we were still customers. Our dinners came about 15 min later and they were luke warm at best but after a minute under that fan they turned ice cold. I think I've given this place enough tries. They are overpriced, extremely slow and they typically get something wrong on every order. The servers rude and always seem like they have something stuck up their butts. It is extremely loud throughout the restaurant even when it's not packed. Bar tenders complain about customers to customers. The food is just alright but it's not worth it. Maybe this place used to be good but I see it soon becoming just a hangout for their regulars. I came on a Saturday for lunch and ordered Johnny's Special (the Beef On Weck with 5 wings). The beef was juicy and tasty (and thankfully, not as bloody as Kelly's in Boston), but the weck roll was way too salty for me. Their "award-winning roasted wings" seemed fried, not roasted, and the seasoning was nothing different from what one encounters at the average American bar. I ordered the 'hot' variety but it wasn't spicy at all. Also, there was some mold growing on my carrot stick, and we waited about 45 minutes to be served, when there was hardly a soul in the restaurant present. It was a nice local stop while in the neighborhood, but I wouldn't return again--even if I came back to Lockport. read more

I been coming to this place before I retired from GM in Lockport. Tonight I got there Roast Beef on Weck. The beef sorted melt in your mouth. The bun is nice and software with alots of salt on it. Wagner's is authentic. Authentic Western New York fare in a REAL bar/grill location that isn't trying to be something that it's not. It's not much to look at the outside or the inside, and you're not getting gourmet cooking out of it. But you ARE getting what WNY is best at...fantastic beef on wick, awesome wings, and large portions that aren't overpriced at all. Drove 15 miles to go here for dinner with a childhood friend it was about 80° inside, fruit flies all over so I can imagine how many were in the kitchen, bathroom nasty not even toilet paper on the roll.Server kept fanning herself complaining how hot it was! Ordered a couple beer that were warm, after looking at menu I asked why the menu online had cheaper prices and was told Google made them up, bullshit. Order an appetizer of stuffed hot peppers that are $9.00 and was brought 2 little peppers out, told her absolutely not don't want that is ridiculous, was told u ordered u have to pay lol NOT. Owner come over and was just worried about if we took a bite I assured her we didn't and you can see we never touched them ( no doubt will serve to someone else). Had prime rib which was excellent and cooked medium rare like I ordered, asked if mash potatoes were real and was told no but get them u will like if u have the gravy over them so ok I get them, what a joke the gravy didn't help those fake boxed potato spuds! Our office ordered lunch from wagner's today. Was not impressed by the service I received. We called and asked if we could pay over the phone by card because we had multiple orders, they would not let us. Fine. We were told that it would be no issue splitting the bill when I came to pick it up to pay for 2 of the 5 items separately. When I got there, the older lady with blonde hair who cashed me out acted like a six year old denied dessert when I asked her to split off the two items. She then went on to complain about how that's not how they did that there, why do people do this. I was not impressed and our office will not be ordering from there again. read more

Great food but poor service. Don't go if you're actually hungry because you will be waiting for a long time.

Came on a Saturday for lunch with my parents, and I was not impressed. After the waitress barked at us to find a seat, she walked by us four times before asking us if we wanted something to drink. Then after complaining to us about her working 13 hours the previous day, she took our order. It proceeded to take 45 minutes for our food, which was two roast beefs and a chicken sandwich. There was only one other table in the restaurant. I will not be coming back any time soon. read more
