Jack Civilleto at Raintree Bar & Grill in Tonawanda, NY. 2/25/2023
Frank M.

Went to the Raintree to have lunch and to listen to the great music of Jack Civilleto and April Mazzone. The music and food were great. I had a Reuben with fries. One of the things I judge Reubens on is if the bread is served soggy because of a big mistake made by many restaurants, putting the wet sauerkraut on the botton slice of bread. Fortunately Raintree does not do that which made their Reuben not soggy. They have a variety of draft and bottled beer. You have a choice to get drafts in pints or 22 oz. glasses. I suggest checking it out yourself.

Stopped into this small little spot hoping to grab a quick slice. $3 for a slice. Not big in size, or in flavor. I got a slice of cheese. It was okay for the price tag, nothing outstanding but not bad either. Really...just...average. ‍

Chicken Caesar Wrap

Came during lunch time on a weekday and it was empty. You can't go wrong with a chicken caesar wrap. Fries were hot and crispy. The wrap was also delicious! The chicken wasn't dry and the dressing was flavorful.

Another takeout order, this time Raintree Bar and Grill . Our order consisted of Steak &Cheese Ciabatta, Turkey Bacon Ranch, Angelo Stromboli and an order of Onion Rings. Sandwiches were excellent. Onion rings were very good , including the spicy sauce that accompanied them . The Stromboli was just ok, seemed to be rather bland, said it included cherry peppers, there were none. Marinara sauce that came with it was very good.

Reuben soup! Delicious!

Wow! Excellent Restaurant Week special! 3 course meal for $20 had large servings and was absolutely delicious! I ordered the Reuben soup to start with, and loved everything about it. The shredded corned beef, the caraway seeds, and creaminess... yum! The jager schnitzel entree was HUGE and topped with bacon, onions, mushrooms, and gravy. Delicious! Took half home! For dessert I got the pretzel trio, which was three hot pretzel logs, covered in sugar and each drizzled with a different sauce. Great quality food, good service, and great Restaurant Week deal!! Will definitely come back here again.

I want to drink a gallon of this delicious gravy.

Up until last Tuesday I have never heard of the Raintree Bar & Grill and never even knew it existed, but thanks to Buffalo's Restaurant Week I stumbled upon a menu and headed here for some dinner. This isn't my typical kind of place as it pretty much looks like a local town bar form both the inside and out, I was pleasantly surprised with the wonderful service and food that came along with it. The special included a soup, an entree, and a dessert for $20.19 and it was a steal. My soup was a pasta e fagioli and it was made very well. The soup had good flavour and overall tasted very, very good. I ended up picking the country fried pork chop's which was served with mashed potaoes and I definitely got more then what I expected with them. The white gravy with mushrooms that covered the top of the pork chop was absolutely amazing and worked some magic on me. The meat itself was kind of hidden behind the deliciousness of the gravy and that's A-OK in my books. The mashed potatoes which were also covered in the gravy were also super delicious as well. For dessert, I chose the Brownie egg roll which was certainly a strange combination. Since I was super full, I actually saved this for the next day but did enjoy it for what it was. The brownie itself was tasty and even though the egg roll was a weird combo with the brownie, the ice cream on the side made up for it and ended up being great. Overall, I enjoyed my expedience at Raintree Bar & Restaurant and even though it wasn't my usual type of place, I enjoyed both the service and the food and that's really all a man can ask for. Give this place a shot, its definitely worth the chance!

Beautiful and spacious outdoor patio.

This is the place to be on Saturday afternoon, from 2-5. They have live blues bands and no cover charge. Our favorite Saturday afternoon band is 12 Pack Jack, because they have an awesome sound and play lots of solid tunes. The beer is cold and there are plenty to choose from. We had wings today and the danger sauce is very flavorful and not painfully hot. The subs and pizza are always great. Anna was our server, and she is very friendly and efficient. The crowd is older and many love to dance and have fun. There is an outdoor patio as well for nice weather, and lots of parking. If you join the birthday club, you get a free entree on your birthday. On my last birthday, I had a delicious steak, on the house. Huzzah!

Very good food. Usually understaffed and slow service. Food makes up for it. Recommend pretzels, chicken bites, and steak sandwich.

I'm always on the lookout, keeping my ear to the ground, for great pizza places in Buffalo…read more Although sometimes, I just want to try some place new. I had heard good things about Naked City Pizza, so I decided to take a break from my usual spots and give them a try and overall, I am very pleased! I called around 4:45pm on a Saturday and a gentleman took my order. He was courteous and friendly and said my order would be ready in 25-30 minutes. I arrived about 30 minutes later, easily finding a parking spot in their large parking lot, which is a mixture of pavement and dirt/gravel. Walking inside the shop, it's similar to most Buffalo pizza shops where it's relatively small and really about take-out, not for dining in. There were a few young guys working the counter and ovens, they were able to get me in and out quickly. From the limited time I was inside, the workers were friendly enough, they seemed to get along well. For dinner, I ordered a Quarter Sheet (6 slices) Steak and Three Cheese pizza but the gentleman who took my order over the phone put my order in as a Half Sheet (12 slices). They realized the mistake too late and gave me the Half Sheet for the Quarter Sheet price! I really do appreciate that, it's great customer service. I have half a pizza leftover for a quick dinner now! Naked City Pizza nails the traditional Buffalo-style with a doughier undercarriage and nice crispy, chewy crust. The dough was airy but it didn't seem as "heavy" as many other pizza places around Buffalo, but maybe I was just REALLY hungry. haha For their steak pizza, it seems like they use thicker pieces of steak, which was great, definitely felt more substantial. Most steak pizzas come topped with banana, hot, or sweet (bell/green) peppers, but Naked City uses roasted red peppers, which are sweet and have a more distinct flavor and softer texture - I was impressed, this paired VERY well with the other components! Along with them, there's also onions on top. The three cheeses used are cheddar, mozzarella, and parmesan, which of course are delicious. In addition to the roasted sweet peppers, the other component that I was surprised by was the white garlic sauce as the base. Steak pizzas around Buffalo vary from using a "hoagie oil/sauce" to just a huge variety of cheeses, no base sauce of any kind. I tend to stay away from white sauce on pizza as it's usually associated with garlic (I don't want my breath to be too... fragrant haha), but this wasn't too garlic-y, I didn't feel like I was "wearing it". I enjoyed the added creaminess the white sauce added to this pie. After six slices, I stopped myself and put the other half in the freezer. The six slices I had were delicious and filled me up nicely - The squares were cut nicely and they were plenty filling with tons of meat and cheese. I have a feeling these will reheat in the oven nicely. Looking at the prices, I was impressed too with how affordable Naked City Pizza is! All-in-all, I'm glad I gave Naked City Pizza a chance and had a great experience! The staff are friendly enough and quick, it's easy to get in and out quickly, and the pizza is traditional Buffalo-style so it's on the heartier end while being affordable. I look forward to ordering and trying a red sauce pizza from Naked City Pizza to see how sweet their sauce is.

Loved it. Pizza was awesome, crust was really good, everything was really fresh. Totally recommend…read moretrying the pizza if you haven't. Not really any I side seating, but outside tables if weather cooperates. And a decent size shared parking lot next door. A little pricey but with the dough

I will dare to say no one in the area makes a better one. The pizza is super cheesy, and there stuffed hot peppers are amazing! Spicyyyyy!!! I always add either sausage or meatballs, this time went with the sausage.. this pizza never disappoints! The family wanted some things so also tried the cowboy burger, this was basically a Burger King rodeo on steroids! My son loved. I tasted the actual burger and it was seasoned well and pretty thick! Id order again. The hubby went with a steak hoagie and a chicken taco. Nothing special. The steak hoagie really had no flavor, and the chicken taco was super soggy so the tortilla basically fell apart. Again, I didn't think the chicken had any flavor. I ordered a half of there "bomb sub". Glad I got a half because it is huge!!! It's made up of ham, capocolla, sausage and ham! They did not hold back on the meat. I actually took half off and made another sandwich out of it. This was good, only thing I asked for garlic ailoli and either they forgot or hardly put any on, it was dry, but I'd definitely order again. Half for 9.00 and like I said made another meal out of it, can't beat it.

I took my son there for lunch the other day, and we were warmly welcomed by the owner, who as it turns out, I knew from his previous restaurants stops. I hadn't seen him in about 15 years, but I recognized him instantly. Great service, polite and courteous staff, and delicious fresh food, are my initial reactions. I was surprised how good the San Franco pizza was! I also had a bowl of Pasta Fasola which was outstanding. I live in the city of Buffalo between Delaware and Elmwood and there are many pizza places around here, plus, I grew up on Bocce on Bailey pizza. However, the Forno Napoli pizza now ruins all others for me. I have never been to Italy, but I imagine this is what pizza is like there. Authentic and fresh. I'm taking all 3 of my kids back there tonight. Trying their salads and pasta as well. This place was very busy on a weekday at 4pm, so it is not a secret. It is also not cheap. It looked fantastic. But when I asked his rating, he gave it 6/10 stars. It was actually my favorite part and I've never said that about any pizza! Atmosphere is extremely casual. There's fruit infused waters to have and you go and grab them yourself (back right corner). But you can order bottles of soda, alcohol, etc. Also in the back right corner are small pizza boxes for leftovers you can grab if needed.
