Ciao, 8 weeks old, terrier-poodle mix

Wags & Walks were amazing throughout our whole adoption process! We had let them know months ago about the type of puppy we were looking for. They suggested numerous pups, listened to our wishes, consistently followed up, & did not pressure us in any way. Just yesterday we finally found the perfect pup! Ciao (from their Goodbye litter) is exactly what we were looking for! She's absolutely the missing member of our family! Thank you W&W! They helped us by providing a starting bag of food & their on-site store was super cute too! We found the perfect crossbody bag to carry our new pup & the perfect cheetah print collar for her to go home in. I definitely recommend anyone looking to rescue/adopt/foster to put W&W at the top of their list!

They are claiming I adopted the dog, but it's not tax deductible. Now they're claiming I never adopted the dog but paid a fee?

adopted a dog from here. I have the attached receipt an email from their team mentioning adoption multiple times. However, they are keeping my dog after he was turned in after being impounded in my car and the police removed his name tag. I was harassed off the streets illegally by the police. They apologize and said they had no warrant for my arrest or charge. I've been in a big lawsuit with a pass partner, who is trying to block mail me into a settlement from a lot of physical damages from violence. Wags & Walks exploited a situation where my dog turned back up at the rescue because its microchip was not changed, and now they are confirming, I never adopted the dog. This is a scam. They are claiming the money I paid for the dog was neither a foster fee, adoption fee or donation. Then what is the money for? They raised millions at 2024 charity gala I went too yet still scam people for money. This place is highly unethical and dangerous so more press will be circulated about them.

Parker from Wags and Walks was very patient with me as I navigated the adoption process. She introduced me to my new best friend who received excellent care while he was in their facility. The follow through from Parker and other staff has been so supportive and they are one of the few rescues I have come across they are not peddling designer puppies. I love my Freddie, fka Scooby and highly recommend Wags and Walks services!

from the moment we met Puggy (previously named Cersei) we knew she was the one. she's sweet, playful, cuddly and silly. the wags and walks team were so helpful and patient with me. over the phone, Jade helped me figure out what i was looking for. she gave me different suggestions based on what i wanted and my lifestyle. in person, Annalise introduced me to some different dogs until we met Puggy. she also gave us great training advice. the facilities were clean and the vibe was calm. all the dogs we met before Puggy were so sweet and friendly. our adoption fee includes her up to date vaccines and her spay. i was pleasantly surprised that they care so much about her health--even though she's technically out of their hands now. overall our experience was awesome. since we got her they have stayed in contact and sent so much helpful information about training and welcoming her to our home. if i ever choose to adopt again, i'll be adopting from wags and walks. i have nothing but good things to say about this experience!

An Outstanding Rescue That Truly Goes Above and Beyond We are forever grateful to this incredible rescue organization for bringing our sweet girl Bessie into our lives. From the moment we connected with them, it was clear just how deeply every single person staff and volunteers alike cares about these dogs. The love, dedication, and humanity they show is unmatched. Our Frenchie had some complications after her surgery, and Jen from the medical staff literally took her home and cared for her personally until she was strong enough to be adopted. That kind of compassion is rare. They checked in on her every single day, made sure she had the best medical care, and gave her every chance to thrive. The doctors and entire medical team treated her like family. This rescue is not only sweet and compassionate, but also extremely organized and professional. Every step of the adoption process was thoughtful and thorough. You can tell that everyone involved is in it for the right reasons--they absolutely love these animals and will do whatever it takes to help them heal and find loving homes. We couldn't recommend this organization more. If you're considering adoption, don't look any further. This team is the real deal hands-down one of the most wonderful experiences we've ever had. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts!

Such a great experience. This was our first time adopting a dog and the staff made it easy and smooth. We love everything and highly recommend!

We had such a disappointing experience with this rescue, and I feel like others should know what to expect. My family came in genuinely excited to adopt a puppy and provide a loving, forever home. We brought our 7-year-old Chihuahua to the meet-and-greet -- a dog who has been around tons of other dogs (big and small), stayed in homes with up to five dogs at a time, and has NEVER shown an ounce of aggression. She is gentle, social, and calm. The rescue staff evaluated her in a tiny indoor room, on a leash (which she is never on indoors), and after a single minor vocalization -- not a growl, not a lunge, just a noise -- they decided she was too much of a risk and denied the adoption. It was shocking, honestly. Even my husband, who is always blunt when it comes to our dog's behavior, couldn't believe it. We have a loving home, a big backyard, and a lot of love to give. We were ready to welcome a rescue dog and give her the world. Instead, we were judged unfairly and turned away based on a very controlled and unnatural interaction. If you're considering adopting from this rescue, just be prepared for an extremely overzealous, rigid process and snap judgments that don't always reflect real-world dog behavior. Sadly, it seems they're more interested in perfection than finding good homes. We'll be adopting from a shelter or rescue that actually wants to see dogs placed in safe, loving environments -- not one that actively makes it harder.

We lost our French bulldog to lymphoma in 2023 and didn't feel ready to add another family member until this past month. We adopted our French bulldog / pug puppy from wags & walks and I was so impressed with how efficiently they operated and the adoption process overall. I've heard of other rescues being unrealistic with adoption requirements but I think wags & walks was appropriately thorough placing our dog, who is a (sometimes) difficult mix of breeds health-wise and I could tell they were super focused on making lifetime matches for their rescue babies. We are in love with our dog and so thankful he is ours. Also we brought him to the vet a week after and they verified he was completely up to date on vaccinations and healthy.

Great organization. Very kind to my mother who participates in the volunteer and foster program. Thanks to Wags & Walks my family has a new addition to the family - a little terrier mix named Charlie!

How long does it take for a response. I submitted an application to adopt yesterday and still have not heard back from them. Should I move on from my requested dogs or just wait?

Hi there! At this time please give our adoption counselors 48-72 hours to review your application and get in touch with more info. Thank you for your support and patience!

My husband and I have been fostering two bunnies from Bunny World Foundation (BWF) for about a year…read morenow. After losing our previous bunny unexpectedly, which totally wrecked us, we found immense comfort and support through this incredible community of rabbit lovers. Lejla, Jane, and the long-time volunteers are exceptionally knowledgeable about bunny care and wellness, and they truly care about every single animal. Bunnies are not "easy" pets, so having a whole community to lean on and ask questions around the clock makes the world of difference. Because of BWF, I've become a much better caretaker in providing a suitable environment, proper diet, and grooming. Fostering Popcorn and Zoe has been such a joy. It's unfortunate that people tend to overlook REWs (Ruby-Eyed Whites) because of their eyes, but Zoe is brilliant! She's a smart girl who has recently started zooming and binkying the second she hears the fridge open up until you set that nice plate of greens down. While she prefers her enclosure, if you step into her space, she'll happily demand pets and treats. Popcorn is a curious guy who explores the house every day as if it's his first time seeing it yet we can completely trust him not to chew on anything! He earned his name from the hilarious midair body shakes during his binkies, witnessing one will absolutely make your day. He is notorious for his afternoon nap flops as well. Zoe is definitely the dominant one, which means Popcorn grooms her every single day. We can always tell when Zoe tries to return the favor because she's... not great at it. Popcorn ends up looking like he just rolled out of bed! Both of them are incredibly well-behaved, used to being groomed, and will happily sit in your lap for hours during a grooming session. Hopefully Popcorn and Zoe can find their perfect forever home where they will have more space to binky and explore! If you are looking to adopt, foster, or support a rescue that truly knows and cares for rabbits, Bunny World Foundation is an amazing option.

I adopted my bunny, Floyd, back in 2020 from a rescue somewhere within driving distance of me. I'd…read morealways wanted one and he ended up being the sweetest boy I can imagine. I truly don't think I've encountered a creature sweeter than him. It was always my intention to adopt a companion for him but I couldn't figure out the best way to go about bonding. Life happened and somehow 5 years went by where I didn't have the time or confidence to go through the bonding process myself or the finances to outsource it. Honestly... I felt guilty constantly. I knew he deserved better. Rabbits form bonds with each other that are so beyond what humans could ever imagine feeling for one another, and I wanted this for him desperately. Fast forward, May of this year came and I was done waiting. After some time spent scouring the internet, BWF came up. I emailed them, along with a few other adoption agencies, and the next day I got such a kind email back from the founder Lejla. She vocalized that she could see how much my little guy meant to me, and was so kind. We set up a phone call where I got a feel for how knowledgeable and caring she and the rest of the organization is. When she told me that they actually offer complementary bonding services, I was sold. Lejla claims to be a bunny match maker. I love the idea of that so I had no problem just buying into it, but logically I know it sounds a bit silly (and cute) saying to other people. But listen. I described Floyd's personality to her over email, and immediately she sends a picture of this adorable white nosed cinamon girl. She says something like "this is his future wife... don't ask. I'm a bunny match maker". We set up an appointment, the girl bun she sent me a picture of was brought along with some other potential partners, but in my mind I was like "hey, we might as well just try them out first." They got along immediately. If you know bunnies... you know this is NOT always the case. I think she might actually be a bunny matchmaker haha. Floyd and his cinnamon girlfriend (I named her Bambi) had their first date on a beautiful sunset evening backdrop, and afterwards they were whisked away for their honeymoon. I'm coining the phrase bunnymoon. I got them back a week later, and I can't even express the happiness this whole experience has brought me. Floyd is in LOVE. Bambi is in love. I'm in love with both of them. I get to watch how happy Bambi is here in her home, she zooms around like a puppy. I get to wake up and see them cuddling or grooming each other. Every time I look at either or both of them my heart swells. There's so many benefits from adopting from BWF, this is way longer than I meant for it to be, but seriously. This organization is so good and so caring. Bunnies are really misunderstood here in U.S. and they're spreading such important information on how they really need to be treated. They give you so many great detailed resources on veterinary care, what types of food to give, which brands are best, the list goes on. They haven't failed me a single time yet. They've only brought happiness for me, and more importantly, Floyd and Bambi. I'm really grateful for BWF.

It is the hub from which various other nonprofits voice and turn the wheels of their projects. Even a recent Yelp Beach Cleanup event, associated with Heal the Bay, required volunteers to sign up first with LA Works. For MLK's Day, LA Works planned a morning at Rosemont Elementary where hundreds of people, most of them a part of their employer company (ex. Target, Home Depot, JP Morgan, Accenture), showed up to help revitalize the campus. A radio station came prepared with dancing and music to jumpstart the day. Volunteers were assigned letters and numbers, then told to report to their assigned tasks. It was all very organized and efficient. They cleaned the computer labs, classrooms, storage room and rec room. Adults and kids alike transformed drab brown walls into a playground of rainbows and sunshine. Snacks, juice and water were available throughout the event. Following, food trucks showed up, some of which were either prepaid by the organization or declined to charge. You can become a volunteer by signing up for an account - and then going through their available search options for projects you would be interested in. I like looking through their calendar for a big picture of their activities. Some projects, like anything that has to do with animals, are hot and fill up faster than others. Clicking on the individual project listing will provide a detailed description and, more importantly, the geographical location/zip code.
