It didn't really taste like a traditional karahi and felt more like a chicken salan served in a karahi dish. I've had this exact item here before, and it was fantastic, so I know the kitchen is capable of much better. The Beef Bihari Roll, on the other hand, was delicious. My only suggestion would be to improve the presentation a bit. Adding some fries or a side would make the plate feel more complete and visually appealing. When we mentioned the karahi to our server, he handled it very professionally. He immediately offered to have a fresh one made, which was appreciated. By that point, the kids were getting restless, so we decided not to wait. He was also kind enough to adjust our bill, which was a very nice gesture and showed great customer service. Overall, while the karahi missed the mark this time, the staff made up for it with their attentiveness and willingness to make things right. Everyone has an off night, especially with two big events going on. I'd definitely come back and give it another shot.

I have now opened a dispute with my credit card company. If this is not resolved, I am prepared to take further legal action if necessary. I paid twice for the same purchase and have still not received my money back. Extremely unprofessional and unacceptable. I would strongly advise anyone dealing with this business to get a receipt for every payment and carefully check their statements.

The restaurant's service, however, has some catching up to do. Located in Franklin Park, New Jersey, Burns Road was founded in 2021 by three friends who shared a longing for the Pakistani flavors of their youth. Co-founder Mr. Fasih says the restaurant drew direct inspiration from Karachi's famous Burns Road, a bustling destination known for its traditional street food. Unable to find those distinctive flavors locally, the founders decided to recreate them in New Jersey--and broaden the experience along the way. That broader vision is evident on the menu. While Pakistani cuisine is at its heart, the restaurant also incorporates Iranian, Yemeni, and other South Asian and Middle Eastern influences. Yemeni mandi, for instance, appears alongside Pakistani classics. Portions are particularly generous and generally larger than those found at many Pakistani restaurants. During our visit, the dishes we sampled were flavorful and satisfying. However, we did not try several of the restaurant's signature offerings, including nihari, biryani, paya, korma, and bun kebab. Our review should therefore be viewed as an assessment of our dining experience, not a judgment of the entire menu. The generous portions can make Burns Road a good choice for families and larger groups, although prices are on the higher side. A Shinwari goat karahi, for example, is priced at $49.99, with naan costing an additional $2.29 each. While the portions help justify the cost, the final bill can still add up quickly.
