I'd give this restaurant a three and a half stars. I went here twice during my vacation, each time after the beach. The location is great since it's right off of the beach, and there are quite a few tables and chairs close by (mostly all shaded!!). The workers were nice, and the food came out quickly every time. I got the chicken strips with truffle fries both times, and the fries are good, but I'm not the biggest fan of the chicken strips. They are almost completely flavorless, and you need some sort of sauce to make them taste good. They were still pretty crunchy though which is a plus. I also got the lemonade with passion fruit which was delicious. I think it's a good place to eat if you're at the beach or after you come from the beach. A bit pricey though read more

We came for the shrimp and they don't have the shrimp. We usually order thebeach side bistro luau plate. The Guy told us that they will give extra Kalua pig and sweet potato it's not even extra. My bf and I got let off by the local trolley bus about a 100 feet away from this little hole in the wall place. We saw a few people with shaved ice and we were like...now that looks good. However we were both pretty hungry and we decided to actually order food. Something about this place just drew us in. I was super content with the customer service at the front window, the nice girl helped me pick out a meal for myself as I was uncertain what to eat. She recommended the burger and shrimp, however the burger caught my eyes with the onion ring. We waited about 10 minutes for our food and we were content with the aesthetics of the meal. Now...upon first bite we were pretty much blown away with any expectation we had for just a basic good meal. The pulled pork tacos were delicious. I'm not a fan of pork but my bf convinced me to have a bite and it was soooo flavorful and juicy. However, we both were obsessed with the burger. It was super juicy and perfectly cooked, I was left feeling jealous of the cooking skills of whoever grilled it. Just as it says, it is beachside and offers a small bistro menu. It has outdoor seating and you can get great take out to take to your sitting area. They give you a buzzer to let you know when your order is done, so feel free to find that choice seating spot. Fair is fair come check this place out. My mom loveeesss this place. It's gone under so many different names and management over the past decade and so the food is always different. This used to be a place where you could get a heaping plate of rice and Portuguese sausages with macaroni salad and more. Now it's transformed into a kind of gringo zen hawaiian joint. Everything is neatly plated, portioned fairly, and perfectly cooked. It's a little too clean for my taste, as one yelper commented on a photo I posted of the loco moco "it's the neatest loco moco I've ever seen". Ok so it's not cheap beachside food but for Waikiki the prices are definitely affordable. They have about 20 different food options including items such as burgers, teriyaki chicken, and nachos. All of their sandwiches and burgers come with a generous side of fries. I got the Kapahulu burger - which according to KHON2 news is the best burger in all of Waikiki. Now it is a good burger but it's not the best I actually prefer Teddy's Bigger Burgers and Mahaloha Burger. The burger was way to tall to take a bite (and I like big burgers) and other than having onion rings on it there was nothing special about it. They do take credit cards which is great. There is no bar or alcohol served here. Overall it's a decent spot for beachside food. read more

It's a good spot if you're all wet from the beach and you don't want to gather up and venture around Honolulu for a burger. This is standard "tourist trap" food. It's not bad, just OK overall. The pork nachos are tasty but ballpark style. The pork was tender and flavorful but the nacho sauce was bland from a can and served in a little plastic cup with circular chips making it difficult to dip. The shave ice was legitimately awful with giant chunks of ice and little flavor. The pineapple ice cream drink was bland and warm but the pineapple rings were juicy and flavorful. The burger was OK with decent onion rings and decent enough fries. It was nice not having to walk far and having a shaded table near our spot made it worth it in the end. I had my third trip to Honolulu recently and had never tried this place, despite previous visits to Waikiki Beach. It's right on the Waikiki strip beside the Police station ~ killer location. Having not had breakfast, and being starving, I wanted something quick, and close ~ and did not want to have to walk blocks to a sit-down restaurant. I had a quick look at their menu, lots of different offerings here. Beverages and Shave Ice, deep fried things, burgers, sandwiches and Hawaiian style plate lunches. I ordered some Garlic Aioli fries, they were greasy but excellent. ( I like greasy fries lol). Later, I ordered the nachos with pulled Hawaiian pork ~ they were excellent! Seriously one of the best nachos I've had in years, and I am picky about my nachos. Lots of toppings, evenly spaced through the nachos, perfectly cooked ~ no dry chips at the bottom or greasy cheese piled on top. It's kiosk-style ordering at the counter, though they seemed to have someone looking after the bright red picnic table seating area they have (not sure about that though). Service is quick and I wandered back to my beach chair with my yummy treats. Lots of napkins, mayo, and other condiments are on the side counter which is awesome. For a concession style kiosk, I was really impressed with the food quality and will definitely eat here again on any future trips. read more
