    Chicken strips with truffle fries
    Ella C.

I'd give this restaurant a three and a half stars. I went here twice during my vacation, each time after the beach. The location is great since it's right off of the beach, and there are quite a few tables and chairs close by (mostly all shaded!!). The workers were nice, and the food came out quickly every time. I got the chicken strips with truffle fries both times, and the fries are good, but I'm not the biggest fan of the chicken strips. They are almost completely flavorless, and you need some sort of sauce to make them taste good. They were still pretty crunchy though which is a plus. I also got the lemonade with passion fruit which was delicious. I think it's a good place to eat if you're at the beach or after you come from the beach. A bit pricey though

Shrimp is insanely fishy tasting, salad sucks, and the seating area is dirty and filled with sand on the chairs

Food is overpriced. Service was quick and everyone was super nice. I guess that's the price you pay to eat in Waikīkī!

This review is only for their pineapple slushy drink. The slushy is refreshing and tart! The extra slices of raw pineapple are very juicy and flavorful. The downside is that you can't really eat the rest of the pinepple inside, and it is a bit expensive ($18 for the drink). Regardless, it's fun to try and drink on the beach!

If you're lounging in Kuhio Beach in Waikiki Bay and in need of a snack it doesn't get much more convenient than Waikiki Beachside Bistro. Is the food a little overpriced? Sure, but you're likely in Hawaii on Vacation so go ahead and throw $20 at a Pineapple smoothie. It adds to vacation experience. The pulled pork nachos hit the spot. The pork was tender and juicy and the toppings really created rich flavor with each bite. The jalapeños were especially hot and provided a satisfying snap during each bite. Definitely try this spot if you're in the area.

Got hungry while at the beach and wanted to get some food! I ordered the Garlic Shrimp Plate. The flavor of the shrimp with garlic and basil with the spicy garlic aioli was sooo good! I wish they gave more shrimp, lol! The plate came with rice and salad. I also go the Island surfer. I mean, when in Hawaii, why not? It was on the pricey side, but overall a nice treat!

What do you expect to see at your typical snack bar at the beach? Burgers, fries, nachos, ice cream, right? Well, that's what you'll find here, but add to that local grindz....poké, loco moco, plate lunches, shave ice. It's good for a beach snack bar, with some tables just a stones throw away from the sand. Bistro? No. Snack bar at the beach? Yes. Order and pick up at the window. Come to quickly refuel before you return to your sun worshipping beach towel not too far away. Aloha Waikiki sun.

I saw these pineapple drinks and knew I had to have them. I had no idea where they were from but after taking a stroll outside our hotel (moan) I saw the sign and knew our next beach day I had to have them. Manly for fun IG photos lol but they sure did look amazing. They were! So refreshing, fresh and oh so adorable!! I didn't even realize they had food!

Kapahulu burger was amazing! I thought it was a little pricey for burger & fries but it wasn't considering how good it was. The wait to receive our food was fast. We sat along the grass and ate. Perfect location for those spending the day at Waikiki beach.

We came for the shrimp and they don't have the shrimp. We usually order thebeach side bistro luau plate. The Guy told us that they will give extra Kalua pig and sweet potato it's not even extra. It's more like rice. and I went to ask for more Lumi salmon tomato they said they don't do it, but I told him I'll pay for it if it's extra and they said oh we just don't do it for the lumi salmon so rude and also the guy that taking order he's rushing us to order. He look like he's not so happy what he's doing.

I had a great pineapple smoothie in a pineapple at Waikiki Beachside Bistro. Fast service and fairly decent food. Conveniently right on Waikiki Beach.

    Burger and Pulled Pork Taco

My bf and I got let off by the local trolley bus about a 100 feet away from this little hole in the wall place. We saw a few people with shaved ice and we were like...now that looks good. However we were both pretty hungry and we decided to actually order food. Something about this place just drew us in. I was super content with the customer service at the front window, the nice girl helped me pick out a meal for myself as I was uncertain what to eat. She recommended the burger and shrimp, however the burger caught my eyes with the onion ring. We waited about 10 minutes for our food and we were content with the aesthetics of the meal. Now...upon first bite we were pretty much blown away with any expectation we had for just a basic good meal. The pulled pork tacos were delicious. I'm not a fan of pork but my bf convinced me to have a bite and it was soooo flavorful and juicy. However, we both were obsessed with the burger. It was super juicy and perfectly cooked, I was left feeling jealous of the cooking skills of whoever grilled it. Definitely a good place to stop and get a meal and honestly pretty inexpensive compared to the local food joints :)

We took our first surfing lesson on Waikiki nearby and decided to lunch at this Beachside Bistro. Fortunately, it was a good chance of doing so. The Loco Moco here is one of the tastiest in the island. We also like their Coconut Shrimp which was a big hit. We would come back again next time.

When our party first walked in, we were a tiny bit skeptical because of the empty room (which was beautifully decorated). However as each course came out, we were blown away and didn't know how the restaurant was not way busier for a Saturday night! Each dish/course was well thought out and prepared to perfection. We were all taken by surprise in a great way. The head chef Anthony was very passionate and excited about his work and that was very refreshing! Overall a wonderful experience and we will be back!

The progression of dishes felt thoughtful and creative-- * Crispy Salt & Vinegar Chicken Skin (the perfect starter crunch) * Soupe de Poisson (deep, comforting flavors) * Pina Colada Granita (a refreshing palate cleanser) * Pan Seared Scallops (my personal favorite--perfectly caramelized and tender) * Double Cut Rack of Lamb (succulent and cooked to perfection) * Lemon Crème Brûlée Tart (a sweet, bright finish) Every plate was elegant, well-executed, and beautifully presented. The atmosphere strikes a balance between sophisticated and welcoming. Dim lighting, intimate tables, and quiet elegance make you feel like you've stepped into a hidden gem in the middle of Kaimuki. Honestly, I felt like a celebrity dining here. Service was polished but never pretentious--our server was attentive, knowledgeable about the courses, and kept the pacing of the meal just right. For the level of creativity and execution, Carte Blanche feels like an affordable luxury in Honolulu's dining scene. Perfect for anniversaries, date nights, or anytime you want an elevated experience without flying to the mainland. Highly recommend booking a reservation--you'll want to savor every moment here.

Perhaps the server wasn't really sure how to explain it, but since caviar are essentially eggs, I guess it was a non traditional egg salad. We had finished almost finished our starters by the time I got my wine so that was disappointing. I WISH I COULD GIVE MORE STARS!!!! WORTH THE PRICE! FOOD AND SERVICE IS OUT OF THIS WORLD!!!…read more Okay seriously, I've been to a ton of expensive high end restaurants and none have impressed me like this Morimoto's. When I tell you everything that came out was amazing.... Holy moly it was SO TASTY. EVERYTHING! I was even impressed with the fried rice with how much they served and how much was in it. I personally loved the fish carpaccio, rib eye, hamachi kama, wok vegetables and malasadas for dessert. The orange chicken was my least favorite but it was still good. Oh and the STICKY RIBS...... you HAVE to get them. So crispy yet tender.... I loved how everything we had bursted in my mouth with flavor and was something I couldn't make to that level at home. Service was amazing like any other fine dining restaurant, but for the first time, I felt like this one was worth the money for how good the food was. I will definitely be back!

My bad review is entirely based on how terrible the food was. For context, we ordered Tonkatsu…read moreramen and Tsukemen dipping ramen. Ramen, according to the server, was the most popular thing on the menu, so how likely could it get messed up? Tonkatsu: Rich, but lacked any salt or had very little. We requested some salt and that instantly made the ramen better. The noodles had enough salt to carry it, but the broth was not great. It tasted like the broth was watered down or reconstituted, however no seasoning was added to re-adjust the broth. Broth: Had little salt and lacked punch, umami, and was brown instead of white. Noodles: Had enough salt to taste good, but was slightly overcooked Pork: Extremely bland. Tasted like zero salt was added during cooking. Toppings: Greatly lacking in toppings Tsukemen: The Tsukemen had a lot of the same issues. Now being a dipping ramen, the broth should be even richer and more flavorful than any normal ramen. Tsukemen -- no matter where you have it in Japan, should be richer and saltier than most broths, but the broth here was severely lacking. For $26 a bowl this was worse than your DIY frozen ramen packs. Now I'm not asking for Japan-level of ramen mastery here, this is after all, just a tourist spot -- but if your Tonkatsu is the best selling item, you have to step it up. Our server did mention that some people complained about the amount of salt in ramen, so they adjusted it. But dare I say, instead of diluting the normal salt/seasoning amount for everyone, couldn't you just add a separate, flavor-light version for people inexperienced with ramen, instead of diluting the original for everyone else? If you're reading this Mr. Morimoto, I would highly encourage you to fly here and order the ramen. I think you and I would share the same opinions. P.S. I've also been to your other Morimoto spots and it was not this bad.
